Among all the lecture videos I have watched, those of nurse Mike are the easiest to understand. I don't see who else can do it better than nurse Mike.

I failed the NCLEX. I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. I'm confident that I will be a good nurse. I just need to get past this, move on and persevere 😩😭💔
One of my best friends just finished his career in US Special Forces. He went to Selection three times, failed the first two and was selected after the third attempt. He went on to be Special Forces Warrior of the Year and lead teams in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. One of the best operators I ever worked with.
My point is that failing means nothing unless you let it. Achievement isn't easy, if it was easy then it wouldn't be achievement. Use this as motivation, not just to pass NCLEX, but to push yourself every day in your career to be the best nurse possible.

I felt so confused after sitting in a three-hour lecture on fetal heart rate monitoring. Nurse Mike and Simple Nursing will explain concepts better than any professor, hands down!!!! Thank you for making this! Most importantly, thank you for making videos that make nursing concepts easy to understand. I wonder why everything in nursing school has to be complicated sometimes! I often listen to these videos before my exams; the memory tricks help so much.

Thank you SOOOO MUCH for making this video!! I usually let my female Nurse counter part take care of the OB pt. Now that I'm doing a Travel contract in a tiny 11 rural ER in Malone, NY I knew I had to brush up on the TOCO and OB in general. It's just the Charge Nurse and I after 11pm.. Well after 2 intermittent wks of listening to this video it came in handy when reading the external TOCO paper tracing. Yes we had an on-call OB Nurse come in but this is my 2nd delivery in 2 months and the fear has finally lessened. I'm still going to keep listening to this video til I can recite it verbatim.
Uneventful delivery btw.

please clarify, is 15bpm/min just mean 15bpm? And why at 21:21, one of the orange line say less than 30 seconds, meanwhile the other orange line say 15sec-2mins?
I had the same question! My instructor said it's 30 seconds from onset to nadir (lowest point), not 30 sec from onset to baseline, and the decel lasts between 15 seconds and 2 minutes. So, it takes

2:46, seems like rupture of membranes would be more important than having a 2 cm dilation. Cerivcal dilation can occur without ROM.
