Like its more famous cousin nasi kandar, nasi dalca also originated in Penang. You could find nasi dalca outside of Penang, but nasi dalca is more commonly found throughout Penang and the northern states. Nasi dalca is cooked with aromatic spices. While it has similarities with nasi kandar, nasi dalca is more lighter (in terms of spice robustness) and is usually eaten with simpler side dishes.
