He could do it all, and was a very good defender too. Remember in the early 2000's, the debate was between Kobe and TMac, who was the better. So if TMac was at Kobe's level then no doubt he was just as good as KD.
KD is just tall, T-Mac was a 6'9 version of Kobe.. and was younger too!

There were many superstars in the league back then he was a top ten player in the NBA I'd say starting around 2000. By 2003 it was undoubtedly him and Kobe as the best players in the world. THE absolute best TMac was when he was with the Orlando Magic from 2000-2004.
