How would you rate Luigi's Mansion compared to the sequels? Are 2 and 3 much better or can the first Luigi's Mansion still keep up with them?
Maybe it's because I never grew up with the first Luigi's mansion that I rank it number 3
I grew up with the second one but I will admit the third game is much better
I think 2 and 3 are progressively better as 1 is linear with no backtracking where 2 and 3 has you back tracking to complete the game.
I believe 3 is better
Maybe 2 because the art style is in my opinion pretty good

The original will always be my favorite. Hell, it's one of my all time favorite games. The atmosphere and vibes have never been captured quite the same in the sequels. There was just something so raw and eerie about the original in comparison, and while I like the sequels, they can just never hold a candle to this one
Luigi’s Mansion 4 should have the following elements of past Luigi’s Mansion titles:
Luigi’s Mansion - The dreadful atmosphere, portrait ghosts with distinct personalities
Luigi’s Mansion 2 (Dark Moon) - Explore multiple haunted locations, Poltergust upgrades, Scarescraper, Polterpup
Luigi’s Mansion 3 - Themes… depending on the location. And more Polterpup!
From the ground-up: Another friendly ghost companion who goes with Luigi to traverse through locales in ways he can’t himself, AND… A QUEEN VANESSA-like monster that stalks Luigi (he can’t fight it, SO HE HAS TO HIDE WITH HIS VERY LIFE! If he’s caught… HE’D BE DED!!!)

Nintendo did port xenoblade chronicles twice on 3DS and Switch so it could still be possible to port the original Luigi’s Mansion to Nintendo Switch

They were the ones who were the marvelous couple together when they were together, flirting each other in the SCARIEST pitch-black darkness of dark.
The newer games are Nice, but this was a true example of a horror game. Even the Nintendo vibe cant shield you from fear in this mansion.

Boolossus is hard to catch, but you just done it like a pro! Great job! That was the fastest fight i ever seen someone have with boolossus in luigi's mansion 1!

Best game in the franchise
When Luigi finally got the spotlight for once
Nintendo not only made a game where Luigi truly becomes the hero under his own merit instead of Mario, but they also made a definitive horror theme Mario game we all fell in love with

The funny part is, I believe, she is one of the easiest ghosts to capture since she doesn't drag Luigi all that much, if at all

Apparently she's actually programmed to have a pull of zero, essentially meaning she resists as little as possible. Though that's still some resistance.
Luigis Mansion and Super Mario Sunshine are my two all-time favorite GameCube games. I want to get my GameCube fixed so I can play this game again.

The graphics and text look so clear! How did you record this? I like playing my gamecube game on the gamecube system still, but with modern tvs, even with adapters everything is still just barely readable.

Ive played the games from dark moon (2) to 3 to 1. I think 2 is the worst, three is next, then 1 at the top.

I like 1 and 3 equally for different reasons. The first is short and sweet, kind of like an arcade game, which makes it replayable. The third has great variety in its room themes and engaging boss fights. The second is not bad, but both the mission structure as well as the upgrades being unlocked simply by collecting money rathering than buying them discourages exploration. At the same time, the second did introduce many aspects the third has (strobulb, darklight, gems, and the ability to jump while sucking)
those money stats don't add up, there should be 9 sapphires and emeralds, not 10. Two of the missed speedy spirits give the last ones (disregard this part)
