- Join us as we visit Inverness, FL. This small town in Citrus county has a lot to offer. From an amazing coffee shop & roaster (and they do coffee flights!), to a brewery, a dozen small cafes, merchants and an amazing waterside boardwalk and park. The courthouse was also a filming location for the 1962 film "Follow that Dream" starring Elvis. Such a great place to walk around and explore.

Great video. I live in Inverness with my family and my parents have a home there also by the lake. The Depot building is new and it is used for events and farmers markets.

The big, open Depot is for events and farmer's markets on Saturdays. There seems to always be some event at Liberty park or the Depot.

I think its the wrong idea to make these charming small towns known, before you know it, everyone will try to move there. Especially in desirable states like Florida where the population is increasing..
I totally agree. Once the masses are educated everyone will move there causing prices and congestion to increase. If you find paradise why advertise it? Let people do their own home work.

I bring my own coffee beans, grinder and coffee pot when I travel. I stayed at Inverness for 2 weeks last March.
