Thanks for this video. I just added one of these to my wheel. One thing I didn't like was how the voltmeter's PCB was a bit wider than the display so when glued to the top of the begode display it sits at an angle and the glue has a little gap to bridge. If I could do this again I would 3d print little posts and screw or glue the voltmeter's tabs to the posts and glue the posts to the begode display's PCB.
Yes, there's much better ways to do it. Mine was just a quick video as some people were asking me how I did it. I didn't delve too deep to optimize it.
Great instructions, your vids are awesome! For anybody doing this there’s no soldering required…just crimp on connectors with some pliers, took 5 minutes Noticed your headlight is not stock, maybe you can do a headlight upgrade video next !
!!!!!!! Please be extremely careful with this, I installed mine and had to bend the wires coming out of the volt meter a bit for it to sit flush with the speedometer screen…and my EX30 shorted out….once I took off the volt meter, the EX30 continued to work normal….just becareful! So glad it didnt short while I was riding!

Is there any way to get power off the board at 5v or at a low voltage that could be stepped down to 5. for usb devices etc. Would be amazing if it's as easy as plugging into some jst connectors like this.
If you get a step down converter I would just step it down from the battery source. Trying to get power from the circuit board without knowing the internals and their limits can turn sour real fast. I think Go George Go had a video on this on his EX20
@@2cells1pack Stepping down from 134 to 5V takes a hefty buck converter and I believe they generate heat and are wasteful. I have one for stepping down onewheel voltage to run an esp32, it does less than 100V and it's probably too large to fit inside. I actually got the idea of looking for ~5V on the board from Go George Go. one of his early ex30 videos mentions poking around with a multimeter looking for 5V to charge devices and not finding it. I saw your video and was amazed there's already JST connectors on the board for this and was hoping you knew something George didn't.
Hi can you do mod for changing the blue brake lights of many begode wheels? I know many people don’t like the blue color and would rather that it be red or orange.
@2cells1pack if is possible for you to a video for the commander pro..I would like to know and see if there is a place for it on the board and I will do it. Just don't want to get it wrong
Great addon. Unfortunately after updating my EX30 to the new firmware with race mode, darknessbot won't show any data from my wheel anymore. It does connect to the wheel but it just shows a bunch of spinning loading symbols where the data would be. Any suggestions?

its only a blue idle light. Once you start riding i believe the brake light is red.
