In before all the comments about "its not self healing if you have to heat it" 😅
I've been meaning to make a self healing captain america shield for a few years now after i did the self healing wolverine claws... maybe this is a sign I should start it up! Epic project man!
Yeah you should a healing shield would be sick
yes
Can u heart my comment hacksmith pls

Now that you’ve made all these different iron man suits, you should combine them into one ultimate superbuild that can fly, self heal, and shoot repulsor beams
That would be the most epic video he’s ever posted 🔥
Yeah!
Best Idea
Become real life Tony stark
you should work with hacksmith to make it even cooler
Imagine fighting iron man and you smash his armor with a sledgehammer then he pulls out a blowtorch and says "one sec I gotta heat it out"
wow. I am laughing so hard. really good point tho. really good point.
He would have an internal heating system why would he use a blowtorch .

You just went from hobbyist metalworking to the most advanced, one of a kind top metalworks.
The idea of a zombie/undead ironman suit that keeps getting revived by heat because it was forged by fire is actually cool as heck.
Yeh until you are on the other end.. myopic
I would rather have my helmet be more ridged and actually protect my head. It fixing itself isn’t much use when your head is crushed.
Guys please like this comment so he can see this I want him to make a supidaman suit that actacly come out a watch
@@saturatedodin476I think he means the autonomous suits that you see in some of the films, for the autonomous suits the armor IS it, so the self repair would be incredibly powerful.
Maybe you should try making a powered chest plate that could send the current necessary to self heal the different parts? Epic video. I am seriously amazed at this material's resilience.
I'm loving this idea, it's the perfect complement for the rest of the suit!
it has like a AC system where it heats up everything else
I was thinking… if he actually got those people who were going to charge 100k to cut it out of a solid block so it was all one piece it could be much thicker and more durable while having no connection points it would be really unbreakable. Given how it did against a 9 mil, double thickness would probably stop most .223/.556 rounds and obviously at some thickness it would be able to stop even 50 cal
Great idea
@@march2032 It's titanium after all, the hardest metal in the world
The applications in armor might not be immediately apparent, but this seems like it could be interesting for prosthesis; natural limbs can heal a cut or even fracture over time, but a metal limb requires repair. This material as a casing could be interesting, since the goal there is to protect the mechanical bits inside.
for starters, THAT WAS AMAZING, I JUST KEPT BEING AMAZED, LIKE WHEN THE 18 WHEELER DROVER OVER IT AND IT SURVIVED, AND THE SNIPER, NO WAY, JUST INSANE. and i have a video idea, make the dragon eye from how to train your dragon race to the edge, and make it with all the buttons and the rotating system and with the lenses.
Combine it with kevalr and padding and you've potentially got a self healing bulletproof helmet. You could also put some nitinol mesh inside the helmet for even more stopping power
Surely it would be more suited to some kind of ballistic ceramic?
One word. Sorbothane.
I mean, besides some minor brain, skull, and ear damage it’s a good idea. But to be fair, would prolly rather have a concussion than be dead.
@@blitzandchitzgaming2584carbon nanotubes would be more likely, graphene is cool but to get enough to work with and manipulate might be hard. Carbon nanotubes tho not only are strong af, they’d be sick to add to the design. Spider silk would just suck to source
@@Plopper2000 this guy is definitely onto something 🤣
The concepts you try to recreate all seem so impossible at first, but you always find a way to make them become a reality. The problem solving and your way of rethinking the whole project through in different ways to get an achievable outcome is truly amazing.
That's what I think every time I watch his videos
Anything is possible... Sometimes it can just take a while to get there.
Okay okay, fine... Reincarnation isn't possible, aliens coming through an interdimensional wormhole are extremely improbable... BUT STILL. Most things are possible. Sometimes your ideas are just ahead of the curve.

It’s still 2023… 2024 now. The years is never going down, our technology will keep going up until we go extinct. All of these sci-fi concept might seem improbable now, but you know… I’m sure the cavemen era people never imagine computers, internet, going to space, etc would be a concept, did they? All of this would seem primitive eventually.

I been watching you since the beginning and you come so long from a wrist flamethrower to flying Iron Man suit to back to the future hoverboards good job😊
give this guy a good 15 to 20 years of continuous development and this superhero stuff will be exactly like the movies
Stark's mask uses view screens, and overall the original suits made him quite a bit bigger. There's nothing wrong with making a thicker armor helmet that could be bullet proof. You could even place anatomic things in the wrong spot to make a shooter aim to the wrong places. It's always fun watching your videos!
projectors, not screens... dont need a screen with holographic projection
@@HarmonRAB-hp4nk I apologize, do you have a reference? I was assuming he was watching a screen with various huds, and our view of his face with projections inside was creative license to give him emotional and human character. I suppose if an eye projector or even high quality hologram can be made without outdoing Apple in his garage, that might be more than Awesome.
Nintinol is same alloy Tony mentioned

literally one of your best videos
Omg that my man was so sick ....I enjoyed that build keep up the great work and hard effort .

Jake, that absolutely blew my mind. I thought the video was over after the first test, then it just kept getting more and more insane. Mouth was wide open by the end of it. Amazing work

Fantastic video! Definitely a labor of love! This is the first video I've seen from you, and it inspired me to subscribe to your channel! Keep up the great work!
It’s incredibly impressive how often you manage to biomimic ideas. Keep up the good work, it’s truly amazing.
New challenge for you:
Make a tool that starts fires and directs them in midair through sound exclusively.

An interesting project you should try is essentially making a split hoverboard (one wheel at each foot) and making it fold behind your calf so you don't need to take it off when you want to walk inside. Being an engineer I have actually given this idea a good amount of though and may attempt this myself.
Then, is this a hoverboard or single wheel skates? I've seen a video of a similar maker putting one wheel on each leg/foot. He face some problems with his legs bowing in or out from the force.
@@2degucitas yeah kinda like skates except one wheel instead of many. You would need to make the wheel small enough where it can go directly under your foot so there's no weird forces like that. It would be something similar to the Segway Drift W1 but be able to fold behind your leg and capable of slightly higher speeds.
@@sirnukem It would need to be attached to a sturdy boot with braces going up to the knee held with a strap. Otherwise, the leg bending I mentioned before.
So just roller skates
I love how esoteric the intro is.
epic, I love ur vids jlaser and I bought your web slinger!
I noticed that some of the bolts fell apart during testing. I wonder if it is possible to get screws and nuts made of the same alloy. One idea is also to put a layer of Nichrom wire on the inside so that the heating element is in the mask. A clever arrangement could prevent the wire from breaking on impact and would make the mask heal itself when you would put current through the wire.
He already mentioned just running a current through the mask to heat it, no need for nichrome wire.
@@conorstewart2214 I think that the current run directly through the mask might seem like a simpler solution but, there are practical challenge there. Nickel-titanium alloys typically have a lower electrical resistance compared to Nichrome. This means a significantly higher current would be needed to achieve the same heating effect, potentially making it impractical and unsafe due to the risks of electrical hazards. Nichrome, with its higher resistance, can achieve the heating effect more efficiently and safely at lower currents. Also, integrating Nichrome as an internal layer would give us more control over the heating distribution, so that the mask can be uniformly self-regenerated.
But it is just an idea😀 I bet there is more ways of doing it.
The reason i love this channel is for every idea my brain automatically thinks, not possible, and would give up. But this guy finds a drip of a chance and turns it into a river. Always surprising and impressive
true!
I was going to write something similar but you put it very well. I find this channel truly remarkable.
I’ve watched almost every single video you’ve put out this one is the biggest W yet
22:44 you should make a gadget that gives you Loki’s shapeshifting powers
I think a cool project would be to make Spider-Man's Spider mech legs from No Way Home. It would for sure be complicated, but think how sick it would be to walk around like that!
I like this idea
You mean the four gold arms that were in like 5 other movies and he couldn’t walk on
This video was really cool. I never knew that you could make armor that heals by itself. The amount of time and effort that you put into this is crazy. This is my favorite project yet.
I preferred the iron man flight thing
someday we will have the avengers in real life but they are all secretly JLaser clones
It doesn’t heal by its self tho
Combine all your iron man builds into one ultimate suit also keep up the good work your doing awesome Jake
Idk anything about engineering but i was just relaxing when i thought of how to improve the self tightening Spiderman suit, idk if this is even possible but I discovered that miniature springs exist and there is a specific type of metal spring that contracts when electricity is passed through it. So i thought the springs can be a part of the clothe like threads and a small current is passed through them when adjusting the fitting. Idk about the strength of the springs and other things that need to be considered but I just needed to get this idea out of my brain. Hopefully it was helpful.
Been here since the webshooters from a lighter build. The growing scale and quality of these builds is crazy. Next up should definitely be Black Panther’s completely silent shoe soles.

You should make iron man’s blasters. I saw somewhere and I think you can just push some sort of gas(maybe propane or butane) through some tube and then light it on fire and it goes crazy
make the whole nitinol suit that would be so cool and you could make it stronger by makeing the nitinol thicker a lot thicker
I’ve loved your videos over the past year. It’s crazy how you went from diy to building some of the craziest feats in engineering.
This is actually incredible. One thing you could do to make this even more of an ultimate Ironman armor set would be using thin carbon-fiber or ceramic "scales", which would not directly connect to each other, but to the nitonal. It would allow incredible resistance to bullets and prevent damage to the person inside, as it will spread out the force.
The last thing I want to suggest is that if you go for making more armor or making this look nicer, a not-so-strong but very effective material for a self-healing project would be acrylic. Can be liquid at room temp and at a pretty solid range of temps, automatically binds to other acrylic, is self-leveling/smoothing, shiny, and will also bond to pretty much any flat surface with decent strength. It could either be kept in small vessels implanted around the suit, or a running vein system that flows throughout it, like your solution with the galleum prototype.
it is so cool how it heals so well
the bleeding armor at the start is a really cool concept that I'd love to see explored further
You should try making the tracking bullets that iron Man shot from his shoulder.
I've been watching your videos for years now and they've only gotten better and better, you are absolutely incredible.
Thats the best idea i hsve heard
well considering you were able to make something this good with a fraction of the money tony stark could put into his helmet, and it was able to stop a few bullets and repair itself too? that's damn impressive man
Since he was talking about it being able to repair itself with electricity.. I could certainly see an upgraded version complete with sensors to detect deformation, and electricity supplied when deformation is detected. Naturally with some thicker and more covering plate 😅
TONY STARK WAS ABLE TO BUILD THIS IN A CAVE! WITH A BOX OF SCRAPS!
It won't be any better than this since it will never protect the person wearing it @@RRKS
@@MaliohammadDesigns it could protect someone. If it's thicker it'll not deform as easily and if you line the inside with something softer (maybe that polymer is soft enough?) That'll dampen blunt force transmitted through the metal.. it might help.
So in the end, if it deforms a little bit (as in not enough to deform your head), it'll buff out. The interior padding might not repair itself as neatly, but as long ans the padding is pushed into place by your head.. at least it won't fall off.
Didn't it stop the 9MM bullet?@@MaliohammadDesigns
Hey, love the video man! Its soo cool how it could heal even at the end. BLEW MY MIND! Also for your next idea, why not try the sword from data and the last dragon that the dad holds, which goes from a sword to a whip by having segments of the blade separate. You should make a droid like in Star Wars. You could have it understand basic language instructions (like move left 3 paces) or something like that. You could even give it it's own speech and protest like a sassy C3PO. It could even have a storage compartment to shoot out a lightsaber like R2, and a couple little details like a blowtorch or welding fuse like Chopper and most Astromechs. THIS IS A AMAZING INVENTION AND AN INCREDIBLE FEAT.
Also I was wondering if you could make a Grab Pack to celebrate the release of chapter 3.
A project you could make next is working droid from Starwars, make it listen to your commands and make it shoot and make it like a battle ready soldier, make it launch a lightsaber and make it curse at you in "droid".
PS, this project is one I've been looking forward to for a long time, tysm for making it.

Perhaps collaborate with Vedal and put Neuro-sama into a droid body?
Going along the nanotech route, an updated gauntlet that can morph into multiple shapes (sword, shield, etc.) would be awesome! Either mechanical with separate moving pieces, or maybe with liquid metal that flows into different configurations based on different programmed inputs and circuits
It'd probably have to be mechanical, or cleverly designed using the same metal he used for this.
