The absolute state of SML in 2023. I've actually seen all of the videos ever since the dreaded letter was sent, and let's just say...as someone who has pretty low-standards, it's not good. Most of the videos are just Logan and his crew throwing out a bunch of random ideas for a plot into one video while carelessly doing things with them. I said this in the Chazington video but Logan just doesn't care anymore, like he genuinely doesn't... And while it genuinely sucks, I sort of understand Logan's mindset. Why would he care? I don't think Logan really sees an incentive to make the videos as high-quality as they were back in 2015-2017 due to the peak of the channel ending years ago. However, Logan needs to set his crew with money, and also needs to create money for the daughter... And as long as the videos get two million each from those 9-year-olds, the purpose was already fulfilled. As for this video... Maybe a 7/10, 7.5. I genuinely don't know, nor really care.
The movie parodies are painful because they just outright reference the source material and not choose to be more creative. Even CN MAD TV has done better which isn't saying much.
Maybe Logan doesn’t like you guys because you guys were never happy. So he just makes the content he wants to. He clearly has a lot of fun with these videos. Him and the crew have alot of parts where they laugh a ton unscripted.

My theory about the whole C&D fiasco is that Nintendo wanted to stop any fan project from interfering with their movie production and reception, similar to Take 2 Interactive and how they took down every fan project that sought to enhance the old GTA games, out of fear fan projects would interfere with the sales of the terrible “GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition” it’s usually something companies do to shut down fan projects to prevent them from taking light away from the official product. But that’s just my two cents!
Now I'd believe this theory if it weren't for the fact that Nintendo sent this after something like the Good Morning America thing, Something that probably should've made them decide to do something about Logan's content sooner rather than later.
I honestly like to watch SML, even after the absolute shitshow it's become. It's the kind of thing I like to listen to and imagine the plushies doing everything. One of the things I really like about modern SML is that the cast has fully embrace that Chris/Pablo/Pooby is the best actor of their crew, and Brooklyn Guy is basically the main character with episodes named after him, but that also means he's basically carrying the whole show on his back.
I was really into SML in elementary school, and kept up with it up until the cease and desist happened and they started using the puppets. (Side note: They should’ve gotten the person who made the Jeffy puppet to design the new ones, the redesigns would’ve looked way better and fit in with all the other non Nintendo characters) Upon reflection, Pablo is way too talented to just be doing SML videos. The dude should seriously consider becoming an actor or voice actor. He has so much charisma and potential, it’s just wild to me that he sticks to SML and doesn’t branch out to auditioning for roles in any shows or movies. I could totally see him doing anime dub voices, he’s so versatile in his different impressions. That’s not to dismiss the talents of the other cast members. Lance also does lots of great voice work and seems like a likable dude. If you’ve seen him in vlogs, he’s pretty expressive. I could see him becoming an actor as well. Lovell also has tons of memorable voices, and would be great as an actor. Elaina too does great work and would make a great actress. Logan has been compelled to using videos to tell stories, I think he’d make a good filmmaker. They could all use SML as a stepping stone to bigger projects. They all have a lot of potential, I’d love to see them branch out.
Eh, I actually kinda liked this one. Granted, I seem to recall being in a very good mood the day I saw it so maybe I was feeling nicer but I remember laughing out loud during the scene where Goodman caught Logan in disguise and was like “Get the FUCK out!”
One major thing I LOATHE about modern SML, among a lot of other things, are the Judge Pooby segments. They were fine the first few times, but they've overstayed it's welcome, to the point where SML might as well be a law show.
No joke, the reasons why the puppets look tolerable now is because the crew wore them out for a bit. Compare the video that first used them to the modern ones. The designs look different, and somehow better now due to aging and usage. However, The fact that you'd have to use them for three months for the designs to look fine really isn't a good thing though.

I'm just curious if Logan just completely boycotted the movie since it seems like he removed anything nintendo related from his home. Funny thing is Crazy Mario Bros did a video with a similar plot and it was a billion times better. And based on how much I've been seeing him in Glider's YTP's they have definitely been milking the ever loving crap out of him. And as for that Brooklyn Guy re-skin, back when they first introduced him, he was basically just another character to milk the crap out of and take Junior and Jeffy video ideas and apply them to him. It seems like fans took notice to this however and it definitely shows Logan has run out of ideas. I like to occasionally check in on SML every so often and I'm glad he's doing well, I wish him the best, but these videos are painful to watch. There is a video about there being a school play and Cody gets picked to be Goldilocks over one of the girls, and they then begin to repeat the same joke over and over of "It's (current year), boys can be girls if they want to" and it goes on, and on and on and on and on and... Dab, I know this is a one time thing but only if I could save you the time and sanity from ever watching one of these SML videos that Logan has posted recently onto his channel. Logan Tries To See The Super Marvin Movie was a really funny parody to YKW (you know what) but this standalone video was overall not great. A few parts of it were bad but there were parts of the video that were obviously good but that’s the thing though, it really didn’t makeup much for how obnoxious it was. BTW, I like how your title says *Tried* instead of *Tries*. I was watching Ray Rant’s videos earlier last week about the whole recent SML ever since I left or stopped watching and ohhhhhhh boi I’m not even surprised nor I ever should I. Also he still does creepy jokes for Ex: An Old Lunch Lady fell in love with Jeffy because he likes her terrible food and Jeffy is ok? What the fuck? Logan makes videos with no scripts which I totally see why because characters break character every so often. Characters super Flanderized like almost all of them are jerks most of the time which of course Jeffy is. Yeah I thought it was just okay, too. Goodman was irritating in this (seriously; if he is a movie theater SECURITY GUARD, then WHY on earth is he sitting in the theater with the rest of the audience? I don’t think movie security guards ever just sit with the rest of the audience and watch the film regularly; they instead stand in some corner/side of the theater and just make sure no “trespassers” come in). Also (and *mainly*); the ending was way too cruel, overkill, and gross. They did not have to do all of that to prevent him from seeing it. That was just way too over the top and fucking gross. 2/5 for this one, IMO.
This video was eh there are some pretty good sml episodes that came out this year such as the scream parody and the breaking bad video (also a parody there's a pattern here) I think the best video's for this year and even last year were really good videos but I can understand the critics perspective although I think the days of SML having a genuine plot are long gone which is unfornuate but I'd say SML first and for most was always a comedy
Video was fine. Sml kinda stayed the same, maybe some of the months quality is above average while others its below average. Do like the random new characters this year though. If your just watch sml by turning off your mind and not being a movie/show critic, you'll probably have a good time with a decent (60-70%) of the videos. Some videos are still horrible of course.

Wow, I don't like this video. I am aware that this isn't the first meta humor video they have done thanks to SMR, and I know that he didn't like that one. But this video straight up pissed me off because it actually doesn't make sense that he's banned from the Mario Bros Movie in this video, cause law wise, that would be similar to a restraining order, which he doesn't have. It really just feels like a single AMC theater just deciding to make sure one single person doesn't watch the movie for the owner's own petty reasons. Yeah yeah, "wow isn't it funny that he's banned cause of the lawsuit?!", good to know that you're still salty bout that, Logan. Also sucks that they've been making double the videos recently. Kinda feels like they're doing it so they can keep up with other people that are able to put 2 videos up in a week or so. Dab, I know this is a one time thing but only if I could save you the time and sanity from ever watching one of these SML videos that Logan has posted recently onto his channel. Logan Tries To See The Super Marvin Movie was a really funny parody to YKW (you know what) but this standalone video was overall not great. A few parts of it were bad but there were parts of the video that were obviously good but that’s the thing though, it really didn’t makeup much for how obnoxious it was. BTW, I like how your title says *Tried* instead of *Tries*. Gotta commend you for the amount of effort you put into the title then Logan put with his actual video but all joking aside, I’m glad you decided to comeback to SML just to react to this video and it’s kinda refreshing if I’m being totally honest.

I was watching Ray Rant’s videos earlier last week about the whole recent SML ever since I left or stopped watching and ohhhhhhh boi I’m not even surprised nor I ever should I. Also he still does creepy jokes for Ex: An Old Lunch Lady fell in love with Jeffy because he likes her terrible food and Jeffy is ok? What the fuck? Logan makes videos with no scripts which I totally see why because characters break character every so often. Characters super Flanderized like almost all of them are jerks most of the time which of course Jeffy is.
Logan just throws everything at the wall and see what will stick or throwing Money in the trash.
I mean who gives a damn anymore? Logan doesn’t listen at all or should I be surprised? No.

As someone who still watches modern Sml most videos are ok at best to awful at worst and the characters are heavily flanderized with junior being a real sociopath and cody is a total punching bag now also yeah they use judge pooby CONSTANTLY NOW and i just hate it

I will say this though, his videos aren't just bad they're also so boring now. Since 2020 I've noticed this formulaic feel that progressively got worse. Even if his content was bad before it was at least entertaining.

Yeah I thought it was just okay, too. Goodman was irritating in this (seriously; if he is a movie theater SECURITY GUARD, then WHY on earth is he sitting in the theater with the rest of the audience? I don’t think movie security guards ever just sit with the rest of the audience and watch the film regularly; they instead stand in some corner/side of the theater and just make sure no “trespassers” come in). Also (and *mainly*); the ending was way too cruel, overkill, and gross. They did not have to do all of that to prevent him from seeing it. That was just way too over the top and fucking gross.

This video was eh there are some pretty good sml episodes that came out this year such as the scream parody and the breaking bad video (also a parody there's a pattern here) I think the best video's for this year and even last year were really good videos but I can understand the critics perspective although I think the days of SML having a genuine plot are long gone which is unfornuate but I'd say SML first and for most was always a comedy

If your just watch sml by turning off your mind and not being a movie/show critic, you'll probably have a good time with a decent (60-70%) of the videos. Some videos are still horrible of course.

Wow, I don't like this video. I am aware that this isn't the first meta humor video they have done thanks to SMR, and I know that he didn't like that one. But this video straight up pissed me off because it actually doesn't make sense that he's banned from the Mario Bros Movie in this video, cause law wise, that would be similar to a restraining order, which he doesn't have. It really just feels like a single AMC theater just deciding to make sure one single person doesn't watch the movie for the owner's own petty reasons. Yeah yeah, "wow isn't it funny that he's banned cause of the lawsuit?!", good to know that you're still salty bout that, Logan.
Also sucks that they've been making double the videos recently. Kinda feels like they're doing it so they can keep up with other people that are able to put 2 videos up in a week or so. Makes the quality dip even further than before, and making a problem they had since changing the video schedule years ago even worse.
