    I would still recommend painting the edges of the laser-cut plants in their base colour. They stand out a lot, even though the plants themselves are stunning.

    Looks awesome ! Eactly what I was looking for in base design, swampy-wet but natural and not completely floating wet or too nurgle-swampy. I was wondering if you will also post tips how to fix miniatures on such high-detail bases at some point (or I have overlooked such a video), since especially when using magnetized bases my miniatures pop off their base from time to time if not glued directly on the plastic of the base with plastic glue.

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hello Max! Thank you for your comment!
      We actually never show in our videos the step of gluing the miniature but that's a very nice suggestion for the upcoming tutorials. But if it helps you we normally just glue them on top of the tufts to be more realistic or you can glue your mini before adding all the tufts and plants. For that we use super glue (Cyanoacrylate) and if you still think it's necessary you can drill a small pin in your miniature's feet through your base :)

    I don’t like wall putty or any light colored texture paste, as I game with my models heavily. If the paint rubs off, the white shows through very obviously. If you use dark texture paste, it’s less prominent if there are rub throughs. I really enjoy these videos. There are many basing tutorials on CZcams, but these are the best! 🔥

    Just got some dark moss and I love it! I was just wondering if spraying some varnish to reduce some of the sheen would be recommended?

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi! thank you so much for your comment and feedback :)
      If you use a thin varnish it should be fine, it's a question of adjusting the thickness because they are low height tufts, so a denser varnish could solidify and lower the effect of the tiny grass tips.
      We hope this helps!

    • @OlafThorsson3

      @GamersGrass Thank you so much for your quick reply. I wish to clarify again that I love the moss and I definitely want to use Gamers Grass from now on! Do you any specific advice regarding actually attaching the models to such bases? Would normal super glue be sufficient are there any additional steps required to make sure they are securly attached?

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hello! Thanks for reaching out!
      When gluing the models after making the bases, we suggest using super glue. Normally it is sufficient, but this really depends on the model weight (and central point of mass) and the amount of gluing surface area you are dealing with. For example for difficult poses and heavy miniatures sometimes we like to drill a pin into the miniatures foot (or gluing surface) and the base, and gluing the pins with super glue.
      Also, don't be afraid to smash the tufts underneath the foot of the miniatures as well :). We like to imagine the models walking and trampling over the grass.
      We hope this helps! Happy Hobbying!

    do you have to treat the branches in any way before using them? i heard that you need to bake them in an oven first?

    • @GamersGrass
      @GamersGrass  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hello! Thank you for reaching out!
      The branches must be dry (dead) before use. We recommend that you gather older dry branches that are already lying in the outside.
      We also like to clean them first, using a scrub brush, to remove any dirt and dust from their surface and crevices (this usually brings out more details in the branches)
      We hope this helps! Happy Hobbying!

    So step 1 : Make a pretty forest base.
    Step 2 : Cover all previous work with at least 50 tufts per base ! :D
