What do you do for a living - I resell clothing - vintage and modern. Mostly finding clothes from the bins and thrift stores. Things that have been tossed aside and are about to be sent to the landfill.

I thrift pretty much all my clothing, including my suits (work in professional office). But i do not thrift or shop online. I have to try items on....
I have thrifted amazing cashmere sweaters and my suits, while from different decades, are all high quality pieces (escada, oscar de la Renta, etc). You just have to have patience and look often! I live in a rural community of 1800 and am amazed by what I find in our tiny, local thrift store!!!

what really grinds my gears when shopping online is when companies label something as [luxury knit] blend and don't list the % blend, when really you end up getting like 2% alpaca or whatever. ugh! Thrifting (when you can actually SEE the label and FEEL the fabric) ftw!!!

YOU are my favorite influencer at the moment. Absolutely love that vest you are wearing at the intro. I love every style you presented. Just a tip I got from Melissa Murrell, black can be very very harsh to wear. Navy, chocolate brown or Burgundy are a better alternative instead of BLACK.

It’s such a shame that new clothes now have such poor quality, even when they’re „better brands“. I wonder if that will get better again. Everybody I know is upset about it and avoid buying anything new.
Agree with you, I got into vintage last year and I regret buying fast fashion, you can even wash them because the shape cannot restore.

I recently thrifted a Quince black cashmere turtleneck sweater and an Everlane cream cashmere sweater - the same day! I have a lot of fine wool and cashmere, almost entirely thrifted that I've had for years and I have two pieces of advice:
1. Invest in good undershirts to wear under your cashmere and wool. This eliminates a lot of the need for washing, which I try to keep to a minimum like you said.
2. I know you mentioned a detergent that you like, but I also found one recently that is AMAZING. It's called Soak and it is a detergent that doesn't require rinsing. It is specially designed for knits. I love it so much for cashmere and wool.
