Having fun with the United Combat Commander Thai Nagi and Thai Gladius machetes. At the end of the video, I answer the question what do I use to quickly sharpen machetes. Check out the text description box for many related and interesting items! :D
Man! I have been following your channel for a little while now, and I have to say you look so different, congratulations, looking strong there buddy!
I have to say, your ability to slice thru those free standing targets are pretty impressive! And your videos are not only enjoyable, but also informative which is GREATLY appreciated by this novice right here...
Holy shit.. is that you.l... ? dude, you have really tighten-up man! , Looking very trim and swole!
Congrats!
Thanks, bro! I lost a lot of weight and now I am doing the muscle building phase of my program.
I remember your channel for more than 10 years bro, people must know you are one of the pioneers of the knife stuff on CZcams, you are awesome👍
I'm glad someone remembers! :D
@@WeAllJuggleKnives yes Sir 😊
After all this time I still love your channel!!! Blessings 🙏
Thanks for sticking around!
Awesome vid man thanks for making it 🤗
I bought this for $50. I did have to have it sharpened but it is quickly becoming my favorite
Bro you’ve lost a pile of weight, as always a entertaining and educational review. Thanks for sharing.
Good to see you back to your old ways
Great job with the transformation! Well done sir!
thanks, my friend!
Dope cutting action my man!!
Very nice! Love the Gladius!! (My wife ain't short in anything...) Thanks for the info on the hand-held Onion knife sharpener. Great vid. Ty.
I still use the Panga machete that I mounted to a 36" axe handle. It's a light and handy brush killer!😝
The thai gladius is my hunting machete love it.
Great Video 😉💪🏻
Thanks, bro!
You got me hooked on Aranyiks! Hard to find these days. I bought an e-nep and a knockoff, but I am looking for something bigger.
Wow really awesome video ever 10out10!!! :D
Good to see some 5'8" bald guys wearing glasses doing cool stuff. We don't get enough credit for being awesome.
That was Bad Ass. My Very Best Brother Ize
Good insightful video.
Both of these long handle blades instruments look like a possible potential for an effective impliment in using to put a Deer or Wild Boar out of it's misery in the situation of a collision with a Motor Vehicle.
Nice blades !!
Glad you dig them, buddy!
Hey, I'm waiting for mine to come in the mail now and I'm 5'8 and my wife is smaller than me and I got her one too! I wasn't too worried about the shorter length than a traditional one, because I figured it would be about perfect. Thanks for trying it out for me haha.
And I have that Worksharp too. This is getting freaky.
Excellent! I am sure you will enjoy this beast and the Worksharp is awesome for machete care and repair, I just reground a few of my very beat up old machetes, they shall serve for another 10 years.
"Respect. Respect to the audience" classic.👏 👏 👏. That gladuis is sick have you given it the bend test into a tree to see if it keeps its form??? Now if they made a full size gladius spears.
You need to make more vids like this, you get to talk about the blade and show it in use, awesome job WAJK I did upload a video on f a review of the Jambiya from Windlass Steelcrafts.
I will try to make one every two weeks or so, that's usually how long it takes to accumulate a bunch of used containers :]
I want that Thai Gladius, but I don't trust the steel quality. lol I want one like a trainer from Cold Steel to just play with
This looks like a great home defense weapon/bugout weapon. It can be used primarily as a spear, since it is two handed blade, you wouldn't be able to grab it like you could a spear pole.
Besides being able to keep distance from the bad guy, you can stab and slash at them with a lot more control. This would be considerably harder to disarm from an attacker. As long as there is no gun involved or you get the element of surprise, you stand a pretty good chance with this thing. I'd probably attach a couple tight wrist strings so it would be near impossible to be ripped out of or fall out of your hands.
Yeah, this would be great for defending narrow chokepoints, like someone trying to come through a doorway, window, or up a stairway.
I haven't watch your vid for some time. You slimmed down!
Just got both
How do you sling these where it’s comfortable, functional, and practical?
Hell yeah! 👊💀🍻
fist bump!
How well do the handles of these stand up to the shock of actual use? Thanks, love the videos!
Thanks, I think the handles would hold up pretty well, sort of like the FRN handles on all the SOG tomahawks, which work well for most camping and only break rarely.
You should go on the tv show Knife 🔪 or Death 💀 The one where they cut rope, fish 🐠, and wood stuff! I think you could win!!!!!!!
Nice and I can easily take one of those along if I need to clean my finger nails while walking through Boston. I'm sure all those really nice people there will have no problem with me doing that.
That's the spirit!
I have that sharpening system and it’s great. I also have the OKC Blackbird SK-4 that great too! Still waiting to see my favorite knife channel review it. Lol!
I'll try! LOL. You know it might take another year or two, but I still like the knife, it has that Kephart coolness.
WeAllJuggleKnives lol! I thought you’d be jazzed to show how well it performs. Been a summer of record highs in southeast Louisiana, with a September acting like August. Still waiting for nice weather to get out and play with mine. 👍
Great to see you do a cutting vid. You should be doing some of those in the Forged by Fire Program. How is your father doing? hope he is in great health. Give him my regards. Mike
Hey Partner...
I bought the Gladius sword.
I havent touched the edge at all.........do you think it would be sharp enough
or would you re sharpen or shape it? Thanks
I sharpened one edge, machetes like this usually have a burr on one side of the edge, so be sure to sharpen/smooth that out for minimum friction.
I’ve always wanted a naginata! You’d expect a longer handle really, but that looks like fun! "A fun sized wife!" I wonder what mine would say to that? Lol!
They look like they cut well
How do you think they compare to the cold steel thai machete?
They are very similar, if you like one you are going to like the others :]
Have you seen the usmc desert ops gladius swords from bud k??? It's bad ass looking I just hope its even half as good as it looks lol
u look good (and i mean that in the most uncomfortable way possible),JOKES! u look good no bullshit
LOL, thanks, bro!
I have a question I would realy like to get an answer to,I live in Croatia and I can get the cutlery version but I'm doubting the long handle,I am a pro axe man, forrest worker and my swing is extremly destructive swing,I even beat a traktor spliting wood machine so my question is,can that long handle hold a one swing fat branch cut?
I think it can!
Let’s see a knife collection
Hey, what grit and angle did you use for sharpening this on the worksharp? Thanks
I used the roughest grit, I did not use the angle guide, I just freehanded it. It can help to polish it with a non-abrasive belt after.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives ty :)
@WeAllJuggleKnives can she cut pretty well out of the box or is sharpening a must? I'm not going to cut bamboo or use it as a beater, it's for home defense purposes.
It will definitely work for that purpose, right out of the box, it's a deadly spear for sure.
HI JUST WONDERING, CAN PLEASE CHECK IF THE BLACKHAWK CRUCIBLE FX2 FIXED BLADE HANDLES IS SKELETONIZED, JUST BUY UNSCREWING THE HANDLES. I KNOW YOU HAVE ONE IN YOUR COLLECTION. I AM PLANNING TO BUY ONE, BUT I WANNA MAKE SURE ITS SKELETONIZED. THANKS, I AM A FAN OF YOUR CHANNEL
I'll check for you, hold on, I have to remember where I put that one.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives thank you very much, please do that. I like that knife because of the blade shape and seen videos of the speed of the draw even when concealed, In a future video, you may want to do a draw speed test among your fixed blade and folders.
Found it, yes the tang is actually pretty heavily skeletonized.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives thank you so much, . since your channel is a knife and tactical channel. Future Video suggestion, How about a video comparing the draw speed of various Folders and Fixed Blades, neck knives in an Emergency defensive situation. example. while your moving backward or running away from an attacker, , try to draw your folder or fixed blade, but be careful. I sometimes fumble with my folder when I try to draw fast.
@@WeAllJuggleKnives I borrowed one a long time ago, the Crucible FX2 is handle heavy, so I always thought the handle is not skeletonized. That knife is fast with the draw, because of the beak like curve on the end of the handle, which let you snag the knife quickly with the hands
Nice video but I wouldn't think any 1060 high carbon steel blade in the mall ninja category
They have a new one in this series, Combat Commander Two Handed Spartan Sword, you might like it!
@@WeAllJuggleKnives thanks for the suggestion
What did you do different with your diet? I’m trying to drop 15 lbs by New Years
Healthy vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, peppers, onions, bok choy, carrots), plus 4-8 ounces protein per day is the way to go.
Can you doulwild them
Yes, I’m finally the first comment!

I'm looking for a zombie killer.
These have some good reach to keep them at distance!
*Some facts about Thaiachira* A spin-off of Muay Chaiya, which originated from a student sports group at Ramkhamhaeng University and therefore has nothing to do with old fighting styles, but pretends to make themselves important. The chairman of Thaiachira (Kru Lamp) has no qualification as a teacher (Krob Kru). He has also never fought in a boxing ring. His sword knowledge is based solely on student sports and stage fencing (Krabi Krabong), which is taught at the university. The rest comes from Muay Chaiya, which can also not be called an old or a real Thai martial art. The Muay from the city of Chaiya mainly refers to a certain Ajarn Ket Sriyapai. Ket Sriyapai was the son of a governor who was active in sports promotion and brought Muay Veti fighters (Muay Thai) from Chaiya to Bangkok to promote them there. Ajarn Khet never learned Muay Thai himself. The only reason why he is called "Ajarn" is that he has written and published some (fictional) stories about Muay Thai fighters. Ajarn Ket came from a high-ranking family and therefore never fought in a boxing ring. That would have been inappropriate for his standing. His actual profession was civil servant in the building industry. Later Muay Chaiya generations (for example Ket's school friend Tonglor Yalee) mixed normal Muay Thai techniques with Silat (Indonesia), Wushu (China) and Jiu Jitsu (Japan). For these reasons Muay Chaiya, and everything that comes from this direction, can neither be called an old nor a real Thai martial art.
