  • Have you ever thought that luxury brands think their customers are stupid? Well, I did, and not just for once. I sometimes feel like they’re testing their customers just to see how far they could go with the nonsense. Unacceptable SA interactions, absurd price increases, quality issues, and last but not least, nonsense items they keep producing make me think about this issue quite often. I can’t be the only one who feels this way so I’m here to share my thoughts and feelings about these brands. Maybe we can unite our forces and make fun of them in the comments section just to feel like them for once. Buckle up folks, today is all about roasting high-end luxury brands and having fun while doing so!
    Do you think luxury brands think we’re stupid? How was your recent experience with the brands I mentioned in this video? Let’s discuss in the comments below.

    They absolutely think the middle class is stupid. I have returned several LV and Gucci purses this past year because all have lowered their quality so much that I did not believe I would not have buyers remorse as I used each one. From stitching, leather quality, zipper smoothness to the density and quality of the monogram “plastic” and leather they use, all have decreased their quality in the past 5 or six years. I give up. Because of this filth, I have started to research the more mid luxury which have better product and cost 1/4 the price of the “popular” brands. It takes time to research but in turn you get what you pay for.

    I feel like now, even more so than in the past, with social media being such an enormous influence on customers purchases, I think sometimes they really try to come up with an outrageous product so it will go viral in the media (getting the name out to even more people for free) hence, more sales. Ie. The Prada paperclip, the balenci trash bag, the Louis Vuitton lunch bag. Balenciaga didn't become a billion dollar company by playing it safe (a lot of their products from demna went viral bc of how shocking they were)

  • @robd7934
    @robd7934 Před 2 měsíci +1

    These brands really don’t care about customers at all. A few years ago I was in Miami and really looking forward to visiting the Tom Ford store. The door was locked and a guard asked us if we had an appointment. We said no so he took our names and asked us to come back in 30 minutes. We can back and he totally ignored us at the front door. So rude and arrogant to me and my wife like weren’t good to set foot in their store.
    After that experience I swore I would never spend a dime on anything Tom Ford and you shouldn’t either. Turns out we weren’t the only people that had a bad experience with Tom Ford. Read the Google reviews and you will see many complaints.

    *Currently Dior overtakes Gucci as the world’s most popular luxury brand online*
    Gen-Z flexing is outdated. It’s not about flashing labels anymore. It’s about design aesthetic & quality. The select few designers out there that actually have a good design aesthetic are Tom Ford, Lanvin, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Saint Laurent (sometimes), Moschino, Valentino & a few others
    LV, Gucci, Balenciaga, Burberry, Cartier & Versace are ALL currently losing sales compared to pre pandemic.
    When it comes to wearing luxury, don’t impress people with labels. Impress them w/ style 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @CapeCodBelle
      @CapeCodBelle Před 5 měsíci

      Balenciaga is owned by Kering. Cartier is owned by Richemont. Other labels you listed are also not LVMH. Some luxury goods from fashion houses are losing quality because they are trying to produce enough goods to keep up with demand. Price increases are insane, especially with Chanel. I think some of that was to recoup money loses from COVID, but also to profit off in demand items by making them harder to obtain and at higher prices.

    Not stupid. But i think gullible. I mean, people purchase the items. Influencers may purchase the items just to show people how ridiculous it looks. In wolf of wall street, a character said, 'there is no such thing as bad press'. People showing off the items, or people complaining about the items, etc, help the brand be talked about online. Poor quality? People will either rave about what they have or share their poor experiences. It's free marketing for the brands. They will end up knowing what their customers are thinking. They can improve or make certain changes to keep people talking. At least that's what i think.
