- Have you ever thought that luxury brands think their customers are stupid? Well, I did, and not just for once. I sometimes feel like they’re testing their customers just to see how far they could go with the nonsense. Unacceptable SA interactions, absurd price increases, quality issues, and last but not least, nonsense items they keep producing make me think about this issue quite often. I can’t be the only one who feels this way so I’m here to share my thoughts and feelings about these brands. Maybe we can unite our forces and make fun of them in the comments section just to feel like them for once. Buckle up folks, today is all about roasting high-end luxury brands and having fun while doing so!
Do you think luxury brands think we’re stupid? How was your recent experience with the brands I mentioned in this video? Let’s discuss in the comments below.

Do you think luxury brands think we’re stupid? How was your recent experience with the brands I mentioned in this video? Let’s discuss in the comments below.
A: They know we're stupid.
yes, and theres still many dumb people still buy even tho they know it dumb
Just wait until an A-lister star from Hollywood will say that luxury brands are worthless and you should buy from small tailors and craftsmen. Once that happens they will be sinking.
Many of us... But not all of us. 😎
I think Cristóbal Balenciaga is probably rolling in his grave- as are many other designers whose name is on the boutique door. What the brands are now is absolutely nothing like what they originally stood for.
And not to mention the scandal Balenciaga faced last year aka ad that involved children and how people went to dig in previous campagne and found many problematic messages like court document about p*dophilia or books involving satanism
I completely agree!! 💯
Crisobal Balenciaga actually did not want his brand to continue on after his death. Many people don’t know this
Considering there is no shortage of stupid people in today’s age, I’m sure these luxury brands are here to stay
It's not about stupid people. It's about a brand's reputation. You continue with this bs and you will have a Hollywood A lister saying you're not worth it anymore and that's the nail in the coffin.
1000%
I was surprised how well I was treated in Ralph Lauren store in Munich. I really felt like I'm in luxury store even though I see the brand in regular stores
I live in NYC, and I’m done seeing all these designer bags every where. I prefer nice quality but unknown brands where they don’t focus much on marketing, plus no one can tell what I’m wearing.
I keep saying unless it's something super complex like a watch or something, have it custom made! Custom handmade leathergoods or clothes or what not from SMALL BUSINESSES in places like Milan and Paris (they exist) could really use your money.
I bought locally made in New York, it's great and custom made.
Agreed
You can get custom made watches. Only diving watches for great depth divers might be an issue.
Garbaszé, the illusion of luxury. I raise a toast to me and celebrate not having spent a single dime on this stuff.
You have a brand name and slogan 😁
I will never buy Balenciaga. After that campaign with the kids, I think of that whenever I see Balenciaga
I am so glad that I found you!!! The crap that these fashion houses have made is absolutely ridiculous. And you're right - they need us more than we need them!
The Edina character in the TV show 'Absolutely Fabulous' Says it best to a snobby SA "You can drop the attitude, you only work in a shop" hehe;p xo
😂 I love that you have the “garbage day” clip! That movie is so bad, it’s good. Great video!
Hahahah exactly! Thank you, glad to hear that!
Those bags remind me of Derelicte in Zoolander. Woman taking out the boot, "It's a major reward!"
I bought a pair of of shoes from Louis Vitton over 14 yrs ago and with excellent workmanship and materials including outstanding leather it was worth the price. Today I would never purchase any goods from almost every fashion house because is a total ripoff, including what I thought was one of the best American designer, Tom Ford.
I can go into any of these stores and pay cash. And yet I’m treated like I’m invisible. Really? …. Too snobby for my tastes.
It is sad isn’t it. You can walk in wearing ring priced higher than their annual salary and they treat you like you are beneath them and you are bothering them. It is quite disgusting and has kept me from shopping in their stores.
Yep good example is Tom Ford down in Miami. Total snobbery. They don’t even let most people into their store.
Of course they think we’re stupid cuz people keep buying this hideous stuff. I mean that towel skirt is awful!!!! How can anyone like that? 🤦♀️
We have a voice. Talk with your pocketbook.
They absolutely think the middle class is stupid. I have returned several LV and Gucci purses this past year because all have lowered their quality so much that I did not believe I would not have buyers remorse as I used each one. From stitching, leather quality, zipper smoothness to the density and quality of the monogram “plastic” and leather they use, all have decreased their quality in the past 5 or six years. I give up. Because of this filth, I have started to research the more mid luxury which have better product and cost 1/4 the price of the “popular” brands. It takes time to research but in turn you get what you pay for.
Obviously we are stupid enough to follow blindly. Your video shows that it’s time to change our shopping habits.
People who used up all their savings just to buy a bag that costs a house in some places, without proper research on the materials, fully deserve the drawbacks of such indecent financial management. No condolences from me.
(Some may even do the research and see the bad reviews but will still continue to make the purchase)
The towel skirt? 😂
Fn hideous!
The Louis Vuitton boots look like something close to prosthetic legs.
A fool and their money are easily parted…Mark Twain
Oops! I’m sorry. The originator was Thomas Tussar.
I like designer handbags, but I think that there is a limitation to that. I am not a fool. I know how to spend my money and get my moneys worth. God blesses me with my money and I’m gonna use it wisely.
the fact that some of these brands are selling bags that cost thousands and are not even made of real leather. Coach and Tory Burch are rising, luxury brands are selling their bags in outlets up to 70% off nowadays (typically the ones without logos or are not trendy), some ready to wear could be discounted up to 90% off.
Heard about Coach. I guess a new generation of luxury brands will appear to replace the old ones.
@@bobfg3130 Coach has been around since the 1940s but their brand was damaged due to oversaturation of the market. But you are right, new luxury brands like Polene and several others that are made in Europe are cropping up everywhere.
Furla and coccinelle are amazing, too.
The lv logo bags are made out of plastic for a few 1000 dollars.
I feel like now, even more so than in the past, with social media being such an enormous influence on customers purchases, I think sometimes they really try to come up with an outrageous product so it will go viral in the media (getting the name out to even more people for free) hence, more sales. Ie. The Prada paperclip, the balenci trash bag, the Louis Vuitton lunch bag. Balenciaga didn't become a billion dollar company by playing it safe (a lot of their products from demna went viral bc of how shocking they were)
These brands really don’t care about customers at all. A few years ago I was in Miami and really looking forward to visiting the Tom Ford store. The door was locked and a guard asked us if we had an appointment. We said no so he took our names and asked us to come back in 30 minutes. We can back and he totally ignored us at the front door. So rude and arrogant to me and my wife like weren’t good to set foot in their store.
After that experience I swore I would never spend a dime on anything Tom Ford and you shouldn’t either. Turns out we weren’t the only people that had a bad experience with Tom Ford. Read the Google reviews and you will see many complaints.
Balenciaga? Oh, you mean the company that recently had a catalog filled with toddlers in bondage gear? Remember? FO Balenciaga 🤮
Wouldn't use anything Balenciaga even if they paid me. Disgusting and a true reflection of the "ethics" of the people controlling that company.
Tiffany prices. Temu quality.
I'm not knocking the hustle....but I think they just rolling the dice on what they think they can get away with
The intro was priceless! lol careful not to toss the balenciaga in the trash lol
*Currently Dior overtakes Gucci as the world’s most popular luxury brand online*
Gen-Z flexing is outdated. It’s not about flashing labels anymore. It’s about design aesthetic & quality. The select few designers out there that actually have a good design aesthetic are Tom Ford, Lanvin, Christian Dior, Marc Jacobs, Saint Laurent (sometimes), Moschino, Valentino & a few others
LV, Gucci, Balenciaga, Burberry, Cartier & Versace are ALL currently losing sales compared to pre pandemic.
When it comes to wearing luxury, don’t impress people with labels. Impress them w/ style 🤷🏼♂️
Balenciaga is owned by Kering. Cartier is owned by Richemont. Other labels you listed are also not LVMH. Some luxury goods from fashion houses are losing quality because they are trying to produce enough goods to keep up with demand. Price increases are insane, especially with Chanel. I think some of that was to recoup money loses from COVID, but also to profit off in demand items by making them harder to obtain and at higher prices.
@@CapeCodBelleu misunderstood me. I should’ve separated…
“Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy is overrated”
And then started a new paragraph when I started listing designers/manufacturers under LVMH group or not. I’m fully aware that GG & BB are owned by a different group. So is AMQ, Bottega & S. Laurent. Yea, I have a white tee & baseball cap on in my pic, but I graduated the fashion merch program @ FIDM LA years ago. Thanks for giving me a refresher tho 🤙🏼
@@CapeCodBelleI’ll edit it just for u tho. I want u to be able to sleep tonight 🫣
I’m rich and my weakness to name designs brands is Levi’s and the occasional Tommy Bahama shirt. Most of the time I wear Walmart tee shirts and shorts from Kohl’s. That way I can afford Ferraris
Because there're always people with too much money who buys those idiotic items for the lols.
a few months ago i was in nyc i went to saks on 5th ave
just browsing around to pass time until my meetings began
all the workers there looked down on me
then i was there last week with a (fake) birkin bag
they was all hi how are you how can i help you what would you like to look at
no thank you
i like my money where i can see it in my IRA and investments
if i spend $100 on a bag or $10k on a bag what is it doing??
holding my stuff
another thing that gets me
the wealthy want to look poor
and the poor want to look wealthy
I am glad I never cared about luxury brands. First I didn't have money, now I don't see why I should spend my hard earned money for trash bags at this price point. 👜
I think luxury brands like being controversial.
My thoughts exactly, they have no respect.
I dunno sis, the illusion high heel boot was kinda cute. Very Mischino. If the brand wasnt so expensive, I’d might grab a pair.
Build it and let's see if They will come
I like the new Balenciaga because as I teenager I liked Hot Topic and edgy clothes. I buy Balenciaga-inspired knock offs and reps because their prices are insane, and while I like the edgy clothes I agree they have trashed the original House of Balenciaga with their ready-to-wear clothes. That said I love their shoes, coats and purses (even the trash purse), but not at ALL for their prices. I also hate the towel skirt. As a man I can rock that trash purse though.
They think we’re stupid, because we are
I went to the lv store in NYC and all the female sales rep gave me Judgmental looks wouldn't even give me the time of day until the door man asked them to help me
It's not personal, it's business
It's such a shame how these brands are getting run into the ground to make a quick buck off people with more money than brains. Thankfully, there are a lot of small brands making great actually luxury products for much less money. Sadly, they are very hard to find.
Those who still buy such designs just proved the point!
It's actually funny how the knockoffs from Chinatown are 80% cheaper and way better quality
they don't think... they know
Like those expensive tiny winy bags.
If we are so smart why do we even still talk about these brands? 😂 we are stupid and they know it and we know it and we still want those UGLY bags even though quality is trash and they literally look like trash bags 😂
Just why many people buy replica because replica look much better
Not stupid. But i think gullible. I mean, people purchase the items. Influencers may purchase the items just to show people how ridiculous it looks. In wolf of wall street, a character said, 'there is no such thing as bad press'. People showing off the items, or people complaining about the items, etc, help the brand be talked about online. Poor quality? People will either rave about what they have or share their poor experiences. It's free marketing for the brands. They will end up knowing what their customers are thinking. They can improve or make certain changes to keep people talking. At least that's what i think.
that's because the upper middle class and new money folks (main consumers of these brands) who seek nothing but proving their social status are in fact stupid
Kanya west be like : that's my juice
Everyone, listen to kreayshawn: Gucci Gucci. The song says it all.
your art is amazing
What do you think of Chanel 22?
I admit I have a Michael kors bag and perfume, but I’m too poor to afford a 2 thousand dollar hand bag.
I can buy those, but it's just unreasonable or even plain stupid :D
It's AMAZING how stupid people can be!
Only Balenciaga think that.
They know. And they know all those stupid people will buy everything. So they keep doing it. High price for trash. Everyone should just stop buying from them!
They laugh at us when we buy this scam
I think ppl who waste their money on these brands are stupid
Thankfully I never buy any of this crap.
I think these brands are for stupid people who has too much money on their hands.
I've seen the likes of beauty gurus back in.. 2016 or something. Jeffrey whatever his name was and his ilk. Those kind of ppl are the customers for ridiculously overpriced handbags.
Its all scam
