I used to own 2017 Megane GT, so just step below RS and I loved. Unfortunately it got itself stolen 2 years ago:/. And I thought really hard about getting RS because I think that it is one of the greatest hot hatches. Unfortunately (or fortunately, it depends how to look at it) I needed car that is somewhat bigger. So I ended up with 200 HP Giulia. It is down on power but boy it drives good. But everytime I see Megane RS I look at it with tenderness and envy.
My megane rs line is coming in 2 weeks, i was really wondering about the sports seats with alcantara but honestly after i heard you saying theyre comfy and saw that in corners you dont move a single bit :))) that made my smile haha, love your videos man !
Nice one mate, welcome to the squad! If you're local to London we can go for a drive sometime - my next video is me and a subscriber going for a blast 👍 Thanks for the kind words
These vids are great and part of my decision making process, the choice is between one of these, an I30N and a Cupra Leon. Have you tried them? How do they compare to the Megane?!
Thank you! I've driven a facelift i30n with the 8 speed and a Golf R. Golf R had no steering feel whatsoever which killed the car for me, I'm assuming the Leon will be similar. I30n was actually a close contender for purchase but the suspension let it down. Comfort too soft, sport too hard, I couldn't find a balance. Also the exhaust was very loud in a pop/bang kind of way which although fun wasn't quite as nice overall as the Meg. Splitting hairs though, both good cars I'm just really picky.
Well I have a2021 rs 300 trophy it has done 20 thousand klms full spec manual in that time I have replaced battery x2 fuel pump cat converter rear shocks tryes wear out while your watching them no track days by the way warranty is a joke on renault forums these are all common issues so be very aware if you are thinking of buying one buy a tow truck as well
Wow, sad to hear about your experience. I've got a 2021 car and mine has been almost faultless - done 16k miles with no headaches at all. Taken it back to Renault once because of a rattle and a software update recall. This was covered even though I've done a track day in the car. I specifically asked about track days and was told as long as the car is not modified they would continue to cover it. One of my subscribers has a lovely yellow 2021 car too - he's a madman and has put 33k miles on his, hasn't had a single issue apart from tyre wear. I've seen this car myself and will be featured in my next video. You probably don't want to hear this but I think you just got unlucky.
DESS battery is a known issues. Fuel pump was on recall.... get it sorted for free. Rear shocks leaking is also a common issue but thankfully there cheap.
Yep basically the same car. Minus a limited-slip differential and some other bits. I have a video called ''sport vs trophy'' if you want to find out more.
Yep, super comfortable. Seats are amazing. Road noise is golf-like so not completely isolated but still decent. Spins 2.6k rpm at 70mph in top gear... would have loved a 7th or 8th gear but that's only a niggle.
@@MickDrivesCars same as my pfl cupra 290 on the motorway it sits around 2.5k in 6th gear but like you if it had the dq381 then it would be cruising at 70mph at around 2k and gives you that extra mpgs, but honestly can't complain with the overall package it's great fun

How long ago did you order it? I've been told by Renault that they've stopped making them or none available 😢
Wonderful mate! Loving it, love the new angle! Keep them coming!
Many thanks mate! Will do!

Alcantara seats are great, but they are hot in summer.
Pretty true but still better than leather. I hate the sweaty feeling

So this 300 sport sounds similar to 300 trophy ?
Yep basically the same car. Minus a limited-slip differential and some other bits. I have a video called ''sport vs trophy'' if you want to find out more.
Is this the 300 EDC or 300 Trophy?
Thanks
Hi it's a 300 non-trophy EDC
Otherwise known as 300 Sport
You can find a full sport Vs trophy video on my channel :)

What's it like on the motorway on long runs? Comfortable?
