That "Dream Shake" had Robinson out there looking like he'd NEVER been on the court before! And he had JUST won the league MVP that season. Olajuwon punished that man.
He did shit that no other big man in any era can do to this day. The funny thing about it is the only player ive seen straight up body Hakeem is Shawn Kemp.
If the Bulls would've beat the Magic that year to face The Rockets they would've had a huge problem. It seems like Jordan let slow Nick steal the ball from him to win so Magic could won that game 6 in 1995.
Nah it wouldn’t. Rodman couldn’t stop Hakeem. He could slow him a bit but if David Robinson couldn’t slow him, and Robinson is a bit more impactful defender, I doubt Rodman would’ve. Hakeem was unstoppable that year. There wasn’t a soul who was gonna stop him.
@@legaciitv9629 if the offensive player releases the ball and it makes contact (depending on the ref) thigh or lower on their own body its a kick ball. Defense its only a defection.
@@legaciitv9629 I don't know what this Brandon Thompson guy is talking about... A kicked ball violation can be committed by anyone, offense or defense. All of that is according to the NBA's own rulebook: Section IV-Strike the Ball A player shall not kick the ball or strike it with the fist. Kicking the ball or striking it with any part of the leg is a violation when it is an intentional act. The ball accidentally striking the foot, the leg or fist is not a violation. A player may not use any part of his leg to intentionally move or secure the ball. In my opinion he was the best Center to ever play the game

Game 5 of this series was Hakeem at his absolute best with Game 6 following. I grew up spoiled as a Rockets fan in the 80s and 90s
He mauled David Robinson.
Dream was the most skillful center ever
You should see what he did to Shaq in the Finals after this series
Please watch Olajuwon Scoring Skills
Nah we like keep the dream highlights rolling bro
kickball is always a violation, no matter the circumstances. The fact Hakeem destroyed his equal, David Robinson made this all the more amazing
That was Doc Rivers! :D you gotta finish this game.. hakeem was unstoppable.
Greatest center ever

it's kickball any time during play when the ball hits the defender's foot.

And David Robinson got the mvp. I would've thrown it in the trash🤣
Let’s not act like the admiral wasn’t a beast tho
@@TheIcemanthomas the admiral was a baller. It's just Hakeem was a goat.
If Dennis Rodman was on him it would've been a different story...but I think he not put on him on purpose(Twilight Zone theme music plays)

Rodman woulda got bodied too and that's a man who can stop Shaq. Go figure dat
U should watch some David Robinson too.
Check out young Hakeem…
Or Try Trae Jefferson
You weren’t born yet 😳🤦🏾♂️.. that explains a lot now that I think about .. welp keep learn young sir .. 👍🏾💪🏾🎯

Only offense can commit "kick ball"
Does it Have To Be An Intentional Kick? Or Any Contact Between Your Foot & The Ball?

@@legaciitv9629 I don't think people would do that intentionally, doesn't no much and if anything raises the chances of a turnover.
