walletopia I had one in the past. It was pretty good for first few weeks, then the mid pocket leather started increasing in size. I stated with 3 cards in mid pocket and finally end up putting 7 cards in mid pocket to keep things in place. Finally I replaced it with Bellroy sleeve wallet after 4 weeks. I loved the features and size, but this tends to blob quicker that I expected.
@@El_Jim thanks for your experience, it's good to hear about longer-term outcomes with Bellroy's leather. We have also heard about the leather stretching out easily, so thanks for the validation and we agree that the construction could be better considering the prices paid.
I’ve had two of these. Obviously it’s a cheaper wallet & if you keep the cards to a minimum it’ll be ok for awhile, but the leather stretches fairly easily & creates a problem if you have 5-6 cards. Will slide out very easily. In the market for something else.
Using the Vaultskin Chelsea as my daily wallet for 6 months now (alternating with the Nottinghill on weekends) and can confirm that the middle slot stretches. Have 3 cards and it's too loose with only 2 to the point of falling out. The elastic strap on the other hand is pretty solid and still works as good as new (and I use it everyday)
I've had this wallet, I actually have two of them. I think it's a great price, but it definitely stretches way too quickly & the cards do fall out very easily. If that wasn't an issue, I'd still be using it.
@@walletopia Can't get enough of your videos. Looking for another new wallet & I'm binging your videos, you will probably see a dozen comments from me lmao
If I could find something better than a rubber band or something from a swap meet I would! It’s hard to find wallets under $20 that’s worth a look let alone under $10. If you find some send me the websites.
@@walletopia Oh, I was just thinking of compiling 1-10$ wallets from cheap sites like wish or ebay then making a short video on all of them. That idea would be cool too.
Great video Mark . It's an ok wallet . It has very high ratings on Amazon UK and especially price is great . The leather stretches easily and cards can fall out of main pocket if one downsizes the number of cards . So I'd probably say once you stuff it keep it stuffed. it's also difficult to take the card out of the front pocket of the wallet as it is very close to the pull strap and it becomes very difficult if the wallet is full . The pull strap is elastic and it goes back quite easily but mine broke after two weeks and I sent the wallet back and got the refund from Amazon . I then didn't order another wallet . Probably I used the pull strap too much and I would recommend to only keep mostly archive cards stuff in it and not to play with it :)
Thanks for the experience with the wallet. I've always been a little wary of elastic straps for that reason. Great in theory, but whether they can handle the thousands of uses over the wallets lifetime is questionable.
I got this wallet sent to me by mistake when I ordered the Notting Hill. I messed around with it before sending it back and I would say it's a pretty good looking wallet. It's just not something I would use as an everyday wallet because it doesn't hold much. Also the quality of the leather is not that great. There are better options for quality if you just need a basic credit card wallet imo
I have been binge watching your videos the bellroy card sleeve you said you prefer elastic straps so I found and a wallet strap then you said in this video your prefer leather straps so I’m very confused now CZcamsrs like most humans as we get older and hopefully more experienced we tend to change our minds so im presuming I should should stick to leather pull straps?
For longevity leather pull straps for sure. And I'm finding many manufacturers moving away from the elastic one's as they add bulk to the middle of the wallet by design and can create a hotspot. But yes, thank you for understanding 😀
Thanks for noticing that. As I've learned through wallet reviews, it depends on the application and a couple other considerations. If the slot is at the top of the wallet like the Vaultskin, with a cramped space, then the elastic is very convenient. The downside is longevity if it breaks, loses it's strength, etc. Leather pull straps done necessarily have longevity issues as long as they're secured well to the base wallet and do very well on interior wallet applications or where the cards slot space isn't constrained. Hopefully that makes sense.
Okay, I was with you until you threw the Ridge wallet in there 😀 Those are wallets at different ends of the spectrum. But really, any of those three will do you well, it comes down to how each wallet accommodates your carry method.
I got it, and nothing falls out from mid if you have cards or cash on sides... Plus imo u should put 2 cards in middle, I use it for my debit and credit.
Love your videos very insightful but I am confused on this video you say you would prefer leather straps but on the bellroy card sleeve which has leather you wished it were elastic. Could you please clarify I am interested in both.
Hi Gerardo, between elastic and leather, leather is best. I'm suspicious that the elastic will break over time compared to the leather. There is also great nylon straps on wallets which I believe will last too. Finally, how the strap is anchored is important. You can have a leather strap, but if it's poorly anchored it won't matter.
First of all, thank you for your videos. They are really useful. I have the Vaultskin Chelsea wallet and I must say that it is so stretched out that my cards are constantly coming out, not only from the main pocket but also from the side pocket. There's no way they're staying inside. This wallet has definitely become an unsafe option to carry my cards. A few days ago I bought two wallets from Pioneer: the Matter Bifold for daily use and the Molecule Cardholder as a slimmer option. What are your thoughts about my choices? I hope to receive them soon and start using them.
I had the same experience with the Vaultskin Notting Hill, it stretched quickly and I could only use the interior zippered area after a while. You made a good choice with the Pioneer wallets. If you're looking for a durable material with the ability to form like leather, you should like them.
Hey Mark great video just one question in this video you state elastic pull straps could falter or give way. You also say you prefer leather but in the video for the Bellroy Card Sleeve( which has a leather strap) you wish it were elastic could you clarify please. Thank you for your response.
Hi Gerardo, my preference is situational 😀. If I were to choose a product to carry for years, leather would be the strap material I would want. However, the elastic feature is nice, so if it's a wallet you only intend to carry infrequently or won't be too sad if it broke in the future, then elastic is nice to have.
Hi Ayden, I use whatever wallet I'm doing a "carry test" on at the time. It's the basis for those videos. However, I personally prefer a slim, minimalist wallet
It's a minimalist wallet for highly intelligent and thoughtful people. The person who seeks out this wallet knows they are going minimalist with 1 or 2 cards, a license and some cash. This wallet is not suitable for morons who stumble across It's genius, stretch it out then cry about how their card now falls out. These fools are like someone who receives a sebenza as a gift for Christmas and comments that they don't like how smooth the blade is. You deserve a slap 👏 😤

How long do you think it will last?
I've heard from folks to who have had it for several years without problems.
Do euros fit in this
All currencies need to be folded twice to fit, but yes, it fits euros, even up to the 100
Bad wallet, the pull strap broke, no longer elastic, what is even worse is the fact that nothing holds the cards inside, they all can easily fell out.
The UK flag you used is about 200 years out of date lol
Yes, I whiffed it on this one, I have the correct one in future videos 😂
