Scorpion has been a "cursed" pattern for Belmo for so many years. Glad to see him finally win on this pattern.
    2009-2010: 2nd
    2010-2011: 3rd
    2012-2013: 3rd
    2017: 2nd
    2019: No.1 seed in Round of 16, loses 0-3 to B.J. Moore
2020: Loses 2-3 to Darren Tang in Round of 8
    2022: FINALLY wins!!

Also, the Scorpion Championship is having a habit of seeing people climb the ladder to win!
      2010-2011: Yung Jin-Gu
      2012-2013: Tom Daughtery
      2019: Kris Prather
      2022: Jason Belmonte

Just goes to show just how difficult bowling really is. Sure he did well in qualifying, but getting thrown right into a veeeery transitioned scorpion pattern with little to no actual practice/experience with how the lanes are playing can beat even the most experienced bowler

    • @followthetruth295
      @followthetruth295 Před 2 lety +1

@@TraumaER how is professional bowler supposed to look? You don’t watch professional sports for the way someone looks, but for the amazing stuff they do and their attitudes doing it. Would you say the same for Kyle Troups hair? No, right? It’s just a beard and Simo is a top tier, respectable bowler. No need to make him feel like less of a professional for the way he decides to groom himself.

is this a pro sport or not? if the commentators and all the bowlers
would act like it was maybe the pba would get some fans who
care about the game again. . Belmo is great, he was very nice and
almost always acts like a pro.
the woooooooow while the ball is on the lane is crap and the pba
    should stop it.

@@alansabin7487 I don't think it was because no one would cheer it was more of a ground rules kinda thing. Think about what sports have the most cheering football baseball soccer basketball and hockey. Most people cheer the whole time you can't really do that with bowling because of how distracting it is they do the same with professional pool and snooker tournaments and they are way more strict.
