Josh Allen definitely wasnt the best offensive player yesterday, James Cook was. However, the most beautiful part is he didnt have to be lol. Its not like Dallas defense contained Allen and the passing game, they just didnt need Allen to be explosive and put the team on his back. Buffalo's running game bullied Dallas all game long.
It did show that Cowboys invested way too much on pass rushers and forgot about the run game.
Be nice to see Dak have that liberty to have a RB take over and not have him have to be the Hero and win games with his arm all the time.

As a Mahomesian Chiefs fan. Josh Allen DID do something that helped them win. No interceptions, no fumbled snap turnovers on the goal line, giving the opposing team life. NOT an Allen fan, but getting out of his own way for the team showed growth.
2 weeks ago, Acho, Shady, Joy, and Jones all sat their pumping Dak for MVP. Never forget. Dak didn't lose the MVP. He never had it. He needed these upcoming games against the good teams to be in that conversation. Purdy has had it the entire time. The guy isn't competing with Dak or Allen or Mahomes in 2023. He's competing with past MVPs. He's putting up historically great efficiency numbers. He's putting up historically great explosion numbers. The problem with Purdy is simple. He makes it look too easy, which invites criticism about the talent around him and the system. The talent, the coaching, the system, has never looked this good. And Purdy hasn't even reached his final form.

Purdy doesn’t have it. If he does it’s because he’s the QB. Christian Mccaffrey should be the FRONT RUNNER for MVP. He went multiple games this season scoring a touchdown and it hasn’t been done consistently like that. Then Sunday night he scores 3 touchdowns and has over 100pts a rushing and almost 100 yards receiving. CMC is the MVP. It’s sad no one is vouching for him. Prolly because he’s a white RB

He's at 1801 yards and 20 TDs with 3 games to go, one of which is against the #2 defense in DVOA (Ravens on MNF). He's on pace for 2187 AP Yards and 25 total TDs. In AP Yards, that would be 26th between 2006 Frank Gore and 2000 Marshall Faulk. He would be 322 behind 2009 Chris Johnson (2509) and 205 behind his own personal best (3rd all-time, 2392).
The same applies to Tyreek. Before his injury, he was on pace for 132 rec, 2098 rec yards, and 18 TDs. For all-time single-season ranks, that's 6th, 1st, and T-3rd, respectively. I didn't think that was enough WITH a 17th game. He needs more yards or needs to pair it with another stat. After the last two weeks, if he somehow managed to produced at his pre-injury pace, he would be at 120 rec, 1872 rec yards, 16 TDs. That's 18th, 3rd, and T-15th.
Cooper Kupp's 2021 Triple-Crown season was 145 rec, 1947 rec yards, 16 TDs. 2nd, 2nd, T-15th. He received ONE mvp vote that season. Not because he was actually the MVP but because the voter had personal beef with Rodgers and refused to vote for him.
Purdy is more efficient and more explosive than both 2021 Rodgers and 2021 Brady. Purdy's on pace to catch 2011 Rodgers in efficiency (07 Brady still way ahead).

3 TDs and 5 INTs over a 3 game stretch is good? His best TD/INT game in the stretch was actually the game where he had the lowest rating. His two higher yardage games, he went 1 TD and 2 INTs.
He didn't play well enough to win the game again stCleveland. Rating of 55, super low comp pct. The other two,who cares that he got yards? He had 1 TD and 2 INTs in each of them. That's not playing good.
I'm not saying he is or isn't MVP, same for Dak. But the argument that Purdy didn't have any bad games like Dak did against Buffalo is just wrong.

John Stockton shot 51.5% from the field, and just under 40% for 3's. If he wanted to score, he was definitely capable of putting the ball in the basket.

He has a career average of 13ppg with a peak of 17ppg and 5 of those 17 a game coming off free throws. He was efficient and wasn't an offensive liability by any means, but he is not a scorer, he will not change a game with his scoring ability. You need to produce on volume to prove you can do that. Being efficient while only taking like 10 shots a game does not warrant him being capable of anything on high volume.

Put him in the system that meshes with his strength and it falls apart. I think Purdy's playstyle works with the 49ers, aggressive but doesn't turn the ball over. Need 13 yards don't expect a 3 yard checkdown, need 3 yards to extend the drive look for the checkdown.

It was Cooks that was the best player with 25 attempts for 179 yards and 1 TD then 2 of 3 in the passing game for 42 yards and 1 more TD.
As a Bills fan, Allen was not the best player on the field. He didn’t have to be. Cook had the duty last night.
