The best way I can describe going there is 'I wish I never went there, but I'm glad I did'. It is just one of those places you NEED to go to, to experience it but you will never forget the feeling you get from being there. Haunting is the only way I can describe it and that doesn't even come close.
Found the Nazi sympathizer!
Kuya Rick Kelley H ahahaha!
i bet you're exaggerating
Aidan Keys my friend went and said birds don't even fly over the camp.
TherealGeorgeSt-Pierre don't talk sence people good crazy .read my other comment if you can find it should be new up top somewhere
I used to work with a lady who had been here with her family in the war. She was a small child at the time lost all her family. She was amazingly brave and would tell me of her hideous experience. Still managed a great sense of humour bless her. Had severe walking difficulties due to malnourishment and beatings whilst there.thank you for your respectful approach you always show great empathy
😢
I don't know why people deny this. It's heartbreaking to see how privilege blinds humanity until it happens to you.
You sure its "privilege",snowflake?
@Mongol ForLife And don't come up with questions about things you don't understand. It's like a religion, like the catholics need to believe that Mother Maria got a child named Jesus without the 'help' of Josef.
❄!
It's not "privilege" it's ignorance and hate, plain and simple
@@sunglassshinpan1352 🤡 !
Wow, it doesn't matter how many times you here this story, its still heartbreaking
Yup. I've watched countless documentaries and it always makes me speechless.
every war the rulers of this dark world have planned is heartbreaking indeed czcams.com/video/BNNZmwl4578/video.html
hope those souls stuck in that place find peace, so much dread..
bandit This will sadly not be the case there.
It is a shame indeed
Robin Rogers what the fuck
I think it would be similar to native burial grounds. Even if it was tore down and built on.. it will ALWAYS be heavy and haunted
AMEN🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😭😭😭
Rest in peace to those who suffered 😔
Amen!
The poor people !
Amen
Amen
Amen ...and please never forget
Someone show Logan Paul this so he knows how to properly and respectful document death and sensitive situations
Toby Langlois no one deserves to live through these horrors.. you should be ashamed

There is no way that we can learn anything to someone as stupid as logan
I thought we already have a rule in youtube never to mention that prick's name or his brother again...
*Logan Paul: okay guys today where going into autchwitz at 3AM! Make sure to hit that like button and SUB-SCRIBE!!!!!*
*And don't forget to buy my new maverick merchandise and "never forget" hoodies for $99.99*
This is very well done, more exploration videos, please!
More are coming. Going to an abandoned asylum this week.
I'm looking forward to it already...and I'd just like to say I'm addicted to your channel (in a good way!)
I agree!!!
HE REPLIED 😱😱🙌🏼
I know! It's great!
You did a great job capturing the eerie atmosphere there. Something about it being so silent really leaves an impression.
Brian-84blizzle thanks very much appreciate that
I can only imagine how eerie it was walking around this place, thank you for another fantastic video
Was there with my class some two years ago, real scary
I can imagine, I bet it was very humbling
I just subscribed. The content looks interesting. I been with Top5s since he only had a 5-6,000 subscribers and look at his channel now. Looking forward to your channel.
Jorge Ruiz Thank you very much Jorge, I'll definitely do my best to put some interesting stuff out there, any critique/feedback is more than welcome

As I watch this, there are goose bumps on my arms, chills running up & down my back, and I find myself holding my breath. To each & every person who went through this HORRIFIC carnage I am so terribly sorry for the atrocities committed against you !!! My heart aches for the pain & suffering you had to endure 😢. May the souls who still wander the grounds one day pass over into a more beautiful place and finally rest in peace !!
❤
So many lives, families destroyed. It's heartbreaking. :'(
yes it happened in the past 1 example is the roman empire people were burned alive eaten by lions etc...
Thank you for not Logan Paulling this video.
elcucuy feo he’s a professional, Logan’s a forever man-child
I don't think there would be legit dead bodies there as they would've decayed. But most of the dead people were gotten rid off after they died or buried after WWII
TheGreenNinjaFTW I think he meant showing respect for the place as whole and not making it about him. If you noticed he didn't film any of what the headstones said, names, nothing. He was showing the ultimate respect to those lost who still have possible decendants and might watch the video. He treated it as a graveyard and logan should've treated that forrest in the same way as it is the final resting place to so many.
Your Excellency Yeah you're probably right.
elcucuy feo: That's it for Logan Paul. He's become a verb meaning to disrespect. I would add this to the urban dictionary because it's that good.
woah, Im Polish and from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for this amazing video. Hopefully more and more people from around the world will learn about this piece of history. Nice job!
Wow, been watching all your Videos now for a while and the work you put in is thoroughly appreciated, keep it up it's a pleasure to watch, thank you Mr 5👍
I went there two years ago with my dad, as a part of a tour and it left us with a feeling of dread and sadness that those things happen, and that no one did anything to stop it which resulted in so many people dying. Our tour guide was at a verge of tears and they have to talk about this place every day!
But once you go there you'll realise just how hunting the place and it's history is.
One of my uncles visited it and said there was literally no sound there, no bird calling, nothing. A very eerie place. May the men, women and children who passed away there rest in peace forever and always
This was so sad but so good my hat off to you sir you make excellent vids
Red Pilled American. You can't blame Americans living there now for something that happened before they were even born. And I haven't heard of any discrimination against native Americans(except maybe some things in Canada). And if thre is discrimination happening I highly doubt it can be even remotely compared to what happened during holocaust.
And I haven't heard any genocides of natives taking place in Americas. And if you know some.....source please
MVP. How do you know? Where you there? Are everyone who actually were there lying?
MVP. Of course I can't say I believe something with 100% accuracy and I am quite sure that not all data from that era is accurate. But because I haven't studied this topic myself, I rather believe what the majority of eye witnesses, historians and scientists (who have actually studied these things) say, is the most likely version to be the truth.
“Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the track of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened.”
-General Dwight D. Eisenhower
Looks like even with all the films, the thousands of witness testimonies that match, the reports of both victims, and nazi soldiers, the paperwork, the scientific evidence, there's still bastards out there who are so hell bent on antisemitism that they're willing to call such an incredible painful part of history a "Hoax."
The silence is deafening.
Im deaf from the silence
Uto
ikr.. have you experienced it yourself?
It's frustating to say the least.. 😫
I've never been but idk what you would even want to talk about to the group you would be with. It's such a heavy and dark place.. why would you want to talk?
Like walking in a graveyard full of thousands of people.
This place is already haunting during the day. I don’t even want to imagine what is happening there at night.
Many tough men fought in the bloody battles during WW2.
But discovering the concentration camps and SEEING all living skeletons and deceased broke even the toughest of men.
May those who died RIP.
May the survivors and their rescuers find peace....in this life and in the next.
Great video, respectful and informative and difficult to watch at times. Thank you.
Kahlest Enoch yes the place needs to take centre stage not the filmmaker.
@John Sluder nazis not allowed
How awful that all those poor very innocent people suffered and was murdered for NO reason. My sister also parents visited this place, but only got to the part where all the shoes are in one of those shelters and they broke down crying and walked back to where the tour started. They could go NO further. May all women, men,& children whom lost their lives forever R.I.P 😢🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹😢 XXXXX
When the Russian troops liberated Auschwitz they found those warehouses ..... a sight that particularly enraged them was an entire bin of baby shoes.
@@liechter As opposed to nice people like you. FUCK OFF.
@peter evans Peter, I don't know where you got your information, but most of the people who were in those camps were in no condition walk to the gate, much less walk across Poland and East Germany. So when you say all the Jews left with the Germans, you are only showing either your ignorance or your denial of history.
@peter evans No I'm not discounting the fact that some Jews may have left with the Germans out of fear of the Russians. In fact I know Catholic family who had to escape both the Nazis and the Reds while living in Lithuania. But your original statement was not WORDED that way. You implied that ALL THE JEWS left. That is patently WRONG.
@Joe Bien How about no CREDIBLE reason Joe! No reason that made SENSE! NO GOOD REASON!
No one understands what it feels like walking through Auschwitz II-Birkenau, unless you've been there. I had the same experience in 1986. I was part of a small tour that went to Auschwitz, and then Birkenau. I remember being in Birkenau by myself, my 3 friends who came with me where not there, I think they stayed behind in Auschwitz. I felt I was the only person in Birkenau, there was not even a guide. I walked by myself and entered one of the barracks, saw the same thing you did, but as you stated, it was eerie. I was there during the summer and there was not even the sound of a bird, there was an eerie silence, difficult to describe. I was like being a cemetery, without the graves.
They entered through the gates of hell on earth but ended up going through the gates of heaven in the end.
BOLLOCKS
Exactly but it's extremely terrifying to see.
Nothing is like seeing it in person although this comes close. There is something about it. Like there is a powerful energy that's extremely depressing you can get very emotional if you feel things deeply. But it was a moving experience.
you are absolutely right I've been there twice and it is emotionally overwhelming - words pictures and film fail to capture the incomprehensible horror that still resonates
I think "Enjoy the silence, feel the noise" describes it best. The silence is so eerie at certain points. It's no just silence. It feels like void.
I dont have many places I want to travel to but this is one of them. I can see it all day on film but it would be that heaviness and darkness that people say you feel there that would make it real.
Easily one of the darkest scariest places in the world which I believe without a shadow of a doubt is haunted. So well done Top5s as all your videos but this one brought tears to my eyes...Thank you for a history refresher.
The leftist/ elite of the world need to be reminded of these places, so as to see what their" policies" will eventually lead to. Look upon your work, think on the sins of your predecessors.
Clifford Toney: Well said!
Pulitzer prize stuff!! Bravo 👍
This was really hard to watch, thank you for being respectful. I’m definitely hiding in the comments. I had to close my eyes because of how eerie and sad this is. I don’t even have words....
Very much appreciate the lack of a “like and subscribe” screen at the end of the video. Respectful, well done, and very informative video. Probably one of my favorites you’ve ever done
I went there last summer and honestly the feeling you get while walking around there is indescribable. It was extremely haunting and it’s something you never forget.
I was recently at Bergen-Belsen and Dachau. Both are extremly eerie. I saw a comment futher down that said "I wish I never went there, but I'm glad I did". That is probably the best way to describe any of the concentrations camps. Great video, I love the calm in you voice as you narrate these. Thank you.
That was a tough watch man. Great video and it put a lot into perspective. I bet it brought a new meaning to the war for you to get to see this in person. It had to be difficult to walk the grounds of so much evil and suffering. That place was a literal hell on earth at one point. It's very important for you and others like you to preserve memories through videos like this. That era has been forgotten by today's youth and its not much taught in schools these days like it used to be. The importance of this video is greater than you know.
I've seen all of your videos. This was one of the best. Respectfully shot and nicely edited. I can't imagine how it felt to walk those grounds. Humanity must never forget. Thank you.
My Dad was a survivor from Poland. I just viewed interview videos his brother (also a survivor) agreed to do on the SHOA site. I found lots of paperwork and there is a speech he gave online (I rather not link). I never saw any videos showing the camps today. Seeing this is very eerie for me after hearing stories upon stories.
Jayne Nicoletti bless their hearts. When I was still in the Army Reserve my unit would work in a local hospital on our drill weekends for 4 months, on then off. I worked in ICU one weekend and met this wonderful woman who was there visiting her husband. Both were survivors of this horrible place. (They had the number tattoos to prove it ). Her husband was dying from a lung ailment no one could identify. Slides of his lung tissue were even sent to the CDC and they couldn’t identify it. She was convinced whatever it was he caught it in that death camp. I believed her. The entire staff did too. Such a lovely, tiny little woman still so in love with her husband. He passed away after being there for a little over a month and I never did see her again. She’s never left my memory though. It’s been about 15 years and I’m sure she’s joined her husband by now. She’s someone I’ll never forget.
Cindy WH-Witter my Dad died of cancer. Convinced it was something from camps. He said there was experiments. I think in food etc. My uncle said the soup was water with “spices”.
+Jai Schulze Thank you for your heartfelt reply.
Jayne Nicoletti Tell your family thank you for sharing such painful memories for others to learn from.✌🏼
Charlie Bravo What? Why did you laugh, kid?
Thank you for this. Even in the U.S. these horrors are brushed over and even called hoaxes. Your video was very straight forward and respectful. Thank you.
You are right. I remember how ignorant Obama sounded when he referred to "Polish" Death Camps.
Not by everyone. But, it's disturbing that it isn't taught anymore
These horrible atrocities are denied by people without souls.... I truly wish, people would stop putting ALL AMERICANS in the same pile, NOT all AMERICANS feel that way.. 😢😢
As an American we do learn about this in school
Those random sounds in the background gave me the chills. I can't imagine hearing that there in person.
You should explore Unit 731 if you ever visit China. I have a feeling that will be just as eerie given that it's barely ever talked about.
Henry Orlov what is unit 731

It is German concetration camp, in Poland, it never was Polish camp. Sorry for my english speaking ;)
Sauron Merciful there is no such thing as Nazi germany . It was always just Germany
There were probably hundreds of camps all over central Europe, this was only one...
@@unknownfrvr6767 Wrong.
@@unknownfrvr6767 You’re an idiot. It was Germany under Hitler’s rule. You’re saying the whole country, across all time periods was like this. That isn’t true. Nazi Germany was Germany under Nazi rule.
I have always wanted to visit here, but I know I would be overwhelmed by sadness. I only have to watch anything on the subject and cry. I'd feel shame too knowing that as humans we do this stuff, and worse to eachother. Brilliant video. ❤️
Hayley Clark : I was there last year. Always made me cry. Being there made me stronger. Do visit someday.
I concur, I first saw images & films on this in Jr. High school. I was so horrified and haunted, I couldn't sleep for a couple of months after seeing them.
It is a sad place, I visited way back in 2003.
When so many people perish in such an horrendous way, then the country that caused it, picks up the disaster, embellishes the story and makes $millions out of it.
Despicable, pure despicable...
I could easily watch a 2 hour documentary from you, with your respect & honorable manner.
Excellent video! Respectful, sombre and interesting. Music was perfect.
Thank you.
Saw a recent video on how to increase CZcams viewership and one thing mentioned was having an end card linking to other videos so that once finished watching your video they could then watch another so that your total views will increase however.....
.....top5s is so exceptional and outstanding in all that it produces and delivers that it doesn't even need an end card cuz their videos are just that enjoyable and amazing beyond compare
May God be with all who went through this horrible tragedy. In 1999 my clients mother was a survivor and showed me her tattoo number on her arm. She told me what had happened to her when she was 12 years old. She was an amazing woman who survived.
Thank you for doing this. My grandparents had survived the second world war and they used to tell me the true horror of everything. I know this is one of the darkest chapters of german history (for reference, Im half german half polish) but this cant be denied or forgotten
I've seen this place on the history channel... this place gives me chills
I've been there with my family. usually never really impressed by something but damn.. It gives me chills till this day...
You did an amazing job at filming and also systematically explaining everything
My senior year my English teacher told our whole class to do a slide show/videos/movies on anything you want based on history I choose this. I have the movie "Escape From Sobibor" and the whole school got to watch it with parents permission. 800 students in all. We watched it in the auditorium/gym. I asked teachers to take all of the children's phones and or devices with parents permission. We ALL watched it. When people would laugh I would stop the movie and give that person a lecture saying imagine you being there, give some people some respect. I aced my final with over 100%. I'm scared to ride in an airplane but, I'll have to get over it and make a trip here.
Amazing and good for you on getting your teacher on board for this. Bravo and happy to hear you aced it! #NeverAgain
I was watching a video on the guns the axis used during WW2 when I was notified about this. Almost kind of eerie in itself.
CAP90 they are watching you.....
00 aa Well, that makes sense. I'm a very interesting guy haha
Well done, and done so respectfully. I hope this exploration series is one that you continue.
I've been there, it's basically a big open paddock surrounded by tall fences but the knowledge of what happened where you stood made the experience unique.
Certainly makes me think twice whenever I am having a bad day. I just have to imagine what these people went through.
Do a video on unit 731 In Japan
Give me likes so this gets made 🖒👌

Men behind the Sun is also a movie about their atrocities.. but that one is pretty fucked up..
I sit and complain on a daily basis about my situation and blah blah blah. But I have to remind myself that this is like living in a kingdom compared to what these poor people went through. Someone always has or had it worse than you. I try to be thankful for what I have rather than don’t have.

It's kind of weird that i calmly live next to this terrible place.
@Cheryl Dawn Stevens no, but i live really nearby
I've visited here before and the one thing you can never prepare yourself for is the vast scale of the seemingly endless sprawling fencing and sheds. It's massive beyond belief.
When I was in 8th grade the school was called into in auditorium for a surprise guest. An elderly gentleman walked up to the podium and introduced himself. He continued to tell his story of when he was a child and living through the holocaust. At the end of his speech he describes every night with these horrible nightmares, he can't sleep and the memories that will never go away. Describing what he goes through every night he breaks down sobbing in agony and that is the first day I seen a grown man cry. I cried, it absolutely broke my heart.
Woah! So impressive... love the editing job!
you have the best voice in the world of youtube
Hrishi Gaming Ikr? Such a calm and collected voice. I love his narration.
yes
Him and corpse husband.
I totally disagree about his voice, but otherwise, showed a very scary, heartbreaking hell on Earth for the millions that were murdered by the Nazis. I want to see in person some day🙏
I visited the main Auschwitz camp. One of the most heart breaking experiences but one you should do. It teaches you so much. I recall the erieness only like it was yesterday. It stays with you. It is so quiet that you will not even hear the sound of a bitd. It creates a ghostly presence that haunts the grounds. So sad 💔
Thank you for shedding some light on this
I don’t normally comment on CZcams videos. But I have been a subscriber of your channels for a long time. I absolutely find SO much value both in terms of entertainment in all your shares...and education in some. This was by far one of the best you have ever posted. Thank you for sharing, thank you for continually pushing for more and new content!..

Seriously, in all my life that was the most moving footage of Auschwitz I have ever seen. The close-ups are spectacular, and really help me vision more and feel the vibrations of that place, to understand just how those people suffered. I don’t know if I will ever get to visit there, but this really is the closest to it. God bless and thank you so much!

Very Sad And Informative. May All Of The People That Were KILLED During This Era Rest In Peace. Never Ever Forget 🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀🥀💔💯
Thank you for another top video Top5s. That was a haunting and eerie watch. To think all of the innocent people who suffered innocently for no reason still is so upsetting to this day. I hope the people up in the skies are finding peace and solace. The silence just hits different, to think this happened almost nearly 80 years ago. RIP to all the victims..... 😞
I love the videos that you do. I was here in August and it's somewhere everybody should visit. You can't describe or feel what's it's actually like, it's a harrowing, sombre and humbling experience. It personally changed the way I viewed things in life

Moving and beautifully done Thank you Top 5's for uploading this
i feel justice is being served in the afterlife, with everyone of those soldiers rotting in hell
and everyone of those that suffered in those dreadful places getting a place in heaven...
RIP
I don't even think they came close to prosecuting the actual number of Germans involved for war crimes. To carry out something like this on the scale that they did would have taken so many people working along with them. I don't think we can even guess how many people were involved in this scheme. My question is how many of them were doing it willingly. In so many cases, when the Germans invaded a new place, the locals (who had been fed such a steady diet of Nazi anti-semantic propaganda) actually did the Nazis job for them, sometimes beating to death huge populations of Jewish people.
How convenient
@@samw6048 - that just shows you how gullible the non Jewish Germans, Polish, Austrians & other Germanic nation's were. I read the Poles could actually smell the burning bodies as the death camps were nearby!

So many of these self made video tours virge on a romp at Deisney Land. You have avoided that...thank God. A very moving, thought provoking tour that does far more than most to preserve the utter sadness & desolation of this hell on eRth. What really struck me was how you managed to differentiate between Auschwitz proper & Birkenau. This video was very good at disclosing the actual layout & perception of Birkenau vs,Aushwitz. Your sense of relative space was excellent. Orientation to the mind was well preserved. The atmosphere was all encompassing. Well done.
