Uttarakhand Forest Fire: The forest department has been put into action as the fire continues to rage in different parts of Uttarakhand. Speaking to the Indian Express, Swapnil Aniruddha, DFO said that a farmer had tried to burn the stubble and that got transmitted into the forest. "There are around 30 active fires throughout the district. There are 6 more teams on the spot to douse the fire in one range," said Aniruddha.

The people you see are government workers and it is hard for them to work in such terrain. While the government should be on high alert the legislature is to be blamed as there have been many petitions related to forest fires in the past which have been neglected till now.
