To everyone saying "Back when this game was good" or "I miss the good old days when Minecraft was good" (And there's a lot of these comments), you are talking like the actual game became worse. It didn't. You say you miss the days were you just wandered an unkown world full of secrets, building your base to survive the night, and just living an adventure. There is nothing - absolutely nothing - stopping you from still doing that. The game is still the same, it just has more blocks, more variety, if you wish to use it. That's it. What do you mean with "back when Minecraft was good"? You say that people only play Skywars and minigames now. So what? The game is about YOUR experience, not what other people are doing. What other people are doing in Minecraft right now has 0 impact on how you should play the game. So no, the game wasn't so much better before. It's still the same, and you can do exactly what you could before. You are talking about nostalgia, the memories of your first time playing. That is all. And that is great, I have it too, and it's a wonderful feeling. But the game itself is in no way worse now! Just play it like you want. That's the beauty of this game. So don't blame the game, blame your nostalgia.

Yeah. I remember this song playing as I forgot where my house was, during what I'm sure was my first time playing Minecraft. I stopped playing it after a while, but I don't know why. This makes me feel the NEED to start playing it again, to fill a void that I should have noticed was there, making me feel less happy with my life all along. I've always felt like these songs in Minecraft all convey a certain theme. For me, this song conveys loneliness. It starts off quiet, then gradually grows in detail, eventually climaxing into a beautiful, yet somewhat somber melody. This I think represents the feeling of having to survive as a lone human in a world full of monsters who want you dead. The song is the realization of just how alone you are in the game. But that's just my interpretation. Sorry for getting philosophical.
I feel like that was how it was meant to be interpreted. It bases itself off of the melancholy of loneliness. For anyone without a dictionary: melancholy means sadness.
The hard truth is, you don’t miss “the good old days of Minecraft”. You just miss a time when you were happier. You miss being stress free. You miss not having to worry all the time. Minecraft hasn’t changed as much as you think it has, you just grew up.
Laying in bed I look over at the clock it's 1:57 am I have to get up in 4 hours Looks back a ceiling This song starts playing from out of nowhere I actually am feeling something Memories of playing the game relentlessly back in like 2012 when i first got the game for Christmas I start tearing up I remember all the good times I've had with my friends, the long forgotten worlds on the xbox 360 that is next to my xbox one s, gathering dust I'm feeling alot Many birthday parties spent just on this game alone, playing it with friends was a rare experience because i didn't have internet I start to tear up I look at how far the game has come, what has changed in it I cry I open my eyes to a clock that says 6:30am, my phone next to me on my bed, about to die from not charging
In my opinion, in Minecraft creative mode you act as God. No living creatures except yourself, no company. No wonder the music is sad, Steve's life is.
Beta 1.6.6 The time I didn't know *anything* at all about Minecraft was, in my opinion, by far the best. My friends and I call the feeling this creates the "Minecraft-feeling" as we've all experienced it. One day, hearing C418's songs started hurting me, so I turned off the music. But I'm now ready to feel it again.
+FieryWingedAngel I agree, his songs are so powerful some turn off the music (including me) because it makes you so sad and really does penetrate your feelings. Every time i hear these songs I just want MC to be the way it was again.
+FieryWingedAngel Same here bro. I used to love Minecraft. But bow i'm just a OP Pro and are wining every time. It is boring and i dont want minecraft to be updatet more. I mean there is mods out there!
I can’t believe that I’ve been playing this game for as long as I have, I remember anvils and fireworks being new and exploring the abandoned mineshafts for the first time being so new to the game not knowing what anything was. Now we have the elytra and there’s fish and all that’s been in the games for years but it still feels so new. Time really does fly by
I always love how the songs start off so soft that they bled into the background for a bit, sometimes you don't even know it's started at first, but then the music intensifies and you finally notice it's there. I love how it fades in and out. The tracks are always so beautiful.
I remember this the most from the first time I had set up a wind generator in a modded world, back in 2012. Sitting there in my little wood house on the beach, hearing the hum of the generator as this music plays. That was magical right there.
i was playing minecraft in 2012 ,version 1.4.6,my computer was slow, but i survived first night, nostalgic,im crying about that time i played first time.
Long time Minecraft fan, I've owned the game since beta. I still get the same chills down my spine when I listen to c4's music. 33 years old now and I still can't get over how these songs still get me feeling so good, nostalgic, and melancholic. @c418 I salute you brother and your amazing journey over the years.
Everyone is complaining about how they miss the "good old days" of Minecraft. And yes, they were awesome. I must admit. But don't you see? All these updates are a good thing! I personally love 1.9, with its new combat elements. I don't understand why it was controversial at all. It added an entirely new layer to the game! Not to mention 1.7 or 1.8. Just thing about it logically for a minute. These updates aren't killing the game; they're keeping it alive! It may not be the exact same game that we all fell in love with years ago, but is that really a bad thing? Long live Minecraft and its many communities!!!
Here's the weirdest thing- one of the updates made it possible to literally go back and play *every previous version of Minecraft, all the way back to alpha.* And yet these people probably complained about that update, too. It's just children too young to have true nostalgia trying to act like "I remember the good old days" grown-ups.
This song along with the main theme itself known as "Minecraft" have both made me cry, not because they're sad or because I miss Minecraft, but because it reminds of the times when I was happier because I was playing Minecraft, and the aimless wandering sometimes isn't just aimless wandering, sometimes it's the search for something you haven't found yet, remember gamers, Minecraft is a perfect game, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise if you think the same way.
I remember this song playing on a rainy night while sitting in my castle glowing with the red, faint light of redstone torches. I remember the faint, muffled sound of rain outside, as well as zombies groaning and spiders hissing. A truly unforgettable memory. It feels like a dream.
this reminds me when i was happier. When i would go to friends house to play Minecraft on their Xbox. The feel of taming a wolf and building in snow. Now I am all grown up. My dads dead, I lost friends and gained friends. But on my lowest of lows this game always brings me back. Back to those innocent young times.
I first played Minecraft when I went to the US for a tech summer camp. My friend let me play on my account, and we spent our free time making emerald houses or beacons. I recall this is the first minecraft track I ever heard. After this 3 week summer camp, we kept in touch through email, and we returned to the camp every summer. Our classes would be different sometimes, but we still made a point to play Minecraft together. He passed away 3 years later, when he was only 11. Thank you for the memories Will, you'll be missed.
I wish I was a noob again... Discovering Minecraft, and learning about it was one of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had. The modding community help - new stuff to learn! - but it is not the same. It is different, and in many ways better. However it is not the same...
David Sharp Where you would just spam click and go "Why isn't it working? They said left click it..." I don't know a single person who didn't do that first time!
I just realize why minecraft doesn't feel the same anymore we already know what to expect and do there's no mystery element to it or excitement when you find diamonds
things minecraft taught us our imagination never ends it always comes up in our heads, be cheerful , be happy, theres endless worlds u can create and so many things to build, invest new things new feelings new ways to make friends, the game is always here for us if we need a chill space a relaxation, something that clears our minds,
thank you minecraft. thank you for the memories, the times with my friends playing this game. thank you for showing me that music has power. thank you for letting me stay connected to a friend that moved away 7 years ago. thank you for giving me something to look forward to after school every day. even though my old worlds corrupted with almost everything on my xbox 360, i will always remember that 6 story building i built with my buddies, my wolves i had on my floor, the taiga it sat in, and all the memories i made playing this game. i can’t say it enough, thank you minecraft, thank you so much for this perfect game
its 2021 now... i forgot about minecraft tbh, but then, like 1hr ago my sister was on her phone, when i suddenly hear a calming sound that was familiar, i ask her, “where did you find that song?”, she says to me, “oh, im playing minecraft”, then alot of memories came when she told me that. After 6 years of not hearing these songs its just nostalgic..., and its sad that no one knows what happend to C418.... these music brings alot of memories...
@@darcellrangel240i mean epic games did piss off almost their entire fanbase back in season 10 so they all just decided to play minecraft(including me also)
This game made us happy This game made us cry This game made us creative This game made us brave This game made us. This game put me back together when i was broken apart. The creative, survival, emotional, scared, everyone has a difference, But this game made our childhood, many games have. But this video game is different... The freedom that you have, you can do anything in this world and noone could stop you (except if you're doing something bad like being racist or hacking). This worlds future is up to you, and anything you make is combined with everything else that has been made on that seed. The only reason i wrote this comment was to tell you how much this game impacted my childhood and how it reflected on my emotions, i thank everyone who has played, participated in events, helped in creating, and to C418. Thank you for makinh such beautiful pieces for the future. You can stop reading this comment now, this took like 6 minutes to type from start to finish. -Willianimation/Any other name i will use in the future
This piece is wonderful in the beautiful placement of instruments within the song. The tones denote a clarity of work. Everything working perfectly. Easily one of the favorites. I rate 9/10.
Me listening to this in 2053, at 50 years old, a house of my own, maybe a wife and two children. Reminiscing about the days with the boyz and telling my kids that, yes, this was the peak of gaming in my youth. No one used ray tracing, and yes, for a while, the best thing you could do in this game was craft tnt..
This reminds me of downloading random minecraft modpacks in 2013 on my mom's 2008 Thinkpad laptop and loving every second of it, despite playing the game at 10fps. I recently revisited some of my old worlds from 2011-2015, and it's really amazing how well the game holds up after over 10 years.
It’s a warm summers night. You have the window open letting the cool nights breeze in through your screen window. Your playing Minecraft on your console, the light from the screen the only thing illuminating your room. Your trying to be as quiet as possible as not to wake your parents. Your on you’re survival world inside of your oak wood house with your dog sitting on your red bed. You put away the minerals you collected from your recent mining expedition, and place them all away in a chest. The suns beginning to go down so you put some pork chops in your furnace along with some coal and hop into your in game bed. And in a few seconds it turns from night to day again. You get your dog and pick up the pork chops you just cooked. You go outside and begin chopping down some trees with one of the many wooden axes you have in your inventory. You then start your journey towards the village close by. You begin walking through the forest next to your house and chop down some more trees along the way. You get out of the forest and find yourself in a big open piece of land with flowers and animals scattered across its open vastness. You sprint through the field until your hunger begins to dip, you take bites of your pork chops until your back at full. You then see the village close by, and you can see the many villagers walking around. You finally reach the village and grab some vegetables from the farmer as well as some wheat for your cows back at home so they can breed. You make your way down the village path and find the blacksmith. You look inside his house and find a chest full of loot. You take what’s inside and leave. You then see a librarian and walk over to them. You try to buy from them but remember that you forgot your emeralds you found from your mining expedition. You walk away back through the village and through the field and into the forest, back to your house. You yawn and rub your eyes. You look at the time. It’s late. You go to turn off your console and tv. You crawl into bed with window still blowing cool air into your room. It feels nice when your in a warm bed in a cold room. You start to drift to sleep, thinking about playing with your friends tomorrow at their house or online. It’s summer vacation and you have lots of time to do whatever you want. Then you fall asleep...
this reminds me of a sleepover I had when I was younger on my birthday with all my best friends. staying up until I could barely stay awake on a Saturday night, determined to create the perfect world, drinking 8 cans of coke zero while all my friends slept. finally, after hours and hours of hard work, my masterpiece is complete. I glance over at the clock. I should probably go to sleep, I think to myself. I open the menu and select "save and exit". I watch as the bar reaches the other side then turn off my Xbox 360. I stare at the blank screen for a few seconds thinking about tomorrow. I glance around at my resting friends. I lay my head on my pillow, pull the blanket over me and join my friends in a drifting unconsciousness, dreaming of the future.
Minecraft seems so be so much more then just a game. It's a world you can escape too, a place where you can do what you want without being judged or be made fun of in, a place to let all of you anxiety and worries go. Minecraft is more then killing mobs, building the biggest building or finding the most diamonds, its a world where you can let your imagination run wild no matter what version of the game your in.
I will always love this game. I know that there are lots of little kids there but i dont care. I can start a survival world anytime i want and i love the minigames like skywars and skyblock. Comment down below your feelings about minecraft if you want.
*sigh* so many good memories... I remember when me and my brother would get on Minecraft (PS3) and have some fun on creative and survival, like build a nice base and other stuff... I also remember younger me getting on Minecraft and going on creative and do and build anything i want. I will miss you, old Minecraft...
First time I played minecraft this song played, its been years and I still remember the time I wanted to play the game. I was obsessed and couldn't stop talking about it, I continued talking about it after getting the game. How I would give up everything just to go back to when things were simpler, when I first played minecraft and didnt have much a care in the world except for who were my family and the fun times I was able to have.
I feel a sad feeling in my heart when I see what Minecraft has turned intro... Before, it was a game that brought you the unique feeling of being alone, with danger lurking in every corner, but you were OK with that because you had your house, that you built, to keep you safe and warm. It gave this feeling of never ending enviroment which you could explore as much as you like. Minecraft filled us with survival, loneliness and a very strange, yet beautiful feeling of calmness... It was a truly unique and beautiful experiance. But now, people are ignoring it's meaning and beauty and are just playing SkyWars and Hunger Games.. Sad.....
Mini games were always a part of Minecraft. You just didn't bother with them. (Most were kinda boring tho like Lava survival). Nowadays you can still play single player Survival and experience this creepyness.
IHaz TehBucket the new updates destroyed the foundations of this game and made it too easy with new bullshit. Enchanting a fishing rod? And shields, that's a good one. The point is is that minecraft survival is irrelevant now because of bullshit servers.
My favorite Minecraft song. I want to just be a kid again, not knowing what would come up, that every small thing you discover is something magical, but now.....you know everything........communitie is bad, everything’s gone. I miss it.
I got into Minecraft not too long ago, I don't have any childhood memories or something, but I still feel a sense of nostalgia when listening to the soundtrack. This one started playing as I was building a house on top of a mountain in my very first world, and I experienced in-game snowing for the first time. It was magical, I'll never forget that moment

In a world where so many things can go wrong; where disaster looms over the horizon everyday, Minecraft’s simplicity some how makes the existence of peace & tranquility seem as real as the daily challenges.
My Favorite Track. After being lost in this society of what we call Modern Minecraft, I decided to listen to the default music while exploring a world, this came on... my heart wrenched, being reminded of the days long gone. lost to time... and corruption. Minecraft will never be the same again.

I Wanna hear more interpretations 😢
The hard truth is, you don’t miss “the good old days of Minecraft”. You just miss a time when you were happier. You miss being stress free. You miss not having to worry all the time. Minecraft hasn’t changed as much as you think it has, you just grew up.
I don't think anyone disagrees with this statement, what made you feel the need to type this out as if it's some kind of contrarian opinion?

THE MEMORIES ARE COMIN' BACK TO ME!! I remember when I was a noob at minecraft, :]
Same here
Same, it was wonderful back then

Kinda bums me out knowing I can't really go back and enjoy the game again. Done it all. I can only break so many blocks :(

Laying in bed
I look over at the clock it's 1:57 am
I have to get up in 4 hours
Looks back a ceiling
This song starts playing from out of nowhere
I actually am feeling something
Memories of playing the game relentlessly back in like 2012 when i first got the game for Christmas
I start tearing up
I remember all the good times I've had with my friends, the long forgotten worlds on the xbox 360 that is next to my xbox one s, gathering dust
I'm feeling alot
Many birthday parties spent just on this game alone, playing it with friends was a rare experience because i didn't have internet
I start to tear up
I look at how far the game has come, what has changed in it
I cry
I open my eyes to a clock that says 6:30am, my phone next to me on my bed, about to die from not charging
:D

In my opinion, in Minecraft creative mode you act as God. No living creatures except yourself, no company. No wonder the music is sad, Steve's life is.
This music is Survival mode only.

The time I didn't know *anything* at all about Minecraft was, in my opinion, by far the best.
+FieryWingedAngel i have seen you in every of this guys video's

I can't believe I'm feeling nostalgic for a game I still regularly play. I miss being a child so much.
That was my first time on Minecraft.I was playing in 1.5.2 My computer was very slow. These old good days...
i was playing minecraft in 2012 ,version 1.4.6,my computer was slow, but i survived first night, nostalgic,im crying about that time i played first time.

🔥🔥🔥 ten years later
You don't miss the old minecraft, you miss being happy.
RIP that hit hella deep. You're absolutely right though.
Finally someone believes me! I love the updates and Minecraft no matter what!
I just want the old music back in 1.10
+wakoflakaflam Did they change the music in 1.10?!! :O .... :( I like the music since I started playing minecraft, why do they have to change ir?
They changed it in 1.7
This song along with the main theme itself known as "Minecraft" have both made me cry, not because they're sad or because I miss Minecraft, but because it reminds of the times when I was happier because I was playing Minecraft, and the aimless wandering sometimes isn't just aimless wandering, sometimes it's the search for something you haven't found yet, remember gamers, Minecraft is a perfect game, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise if you think the same way.
I wish i can get the same feelings when i first ever played Minecraft
I love this song! Mainly the part that starts at 2:01, but the rest is also very good.
This one makes me the most emotional... 😢2:00!!
I remember this song playing on a rainy night while sitting in my castle glowing with the red, faint light of redstone torches. I remember the faint, muffled sound of rain outside, as well as zombies groaning and spiders hissing. A truly unforgettable memory. It feels like a dream.

hello its 2023 and you are never gonna be forgotten
this reminds me when i was happier. When i would go to friends house to play Minecraft on their Xbox. The feel of taming a wolf and building in snow. Now I am all grown up. My dads dead, I lost friends and gained friends. But on my lowest of lows this game always brings me back. Back to those innocent young times.
Year 13 now, still listen to this song!
This brings me back a year when I was a complete noob. Now I know everything about Minecraft
I wish I was a noob again... Discovering Minecraft, and learning about it was one of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had. The modding community help - new stuff to learn! - but it is not the same. It is different, and in many ways better. However it is not the same...

I can feel the beautiful memory of when I first played Minecraft, explore its biomes, its caves, the construction, beautiful and precious memories
This music is nostalgic, heavily. It seemed to always play during nighttime. Like your exploring space, quite peaceful.
things minecraft taught us
our imagination never ends it always comes up in our heads,
be cheerful , be happy, theres endless worlds u can create and so many things to build,
invest new things new feelings new ways to make friends,

Minecraft the King of video games
To tears i will be moved, but upon my soul this melody is implicitly sculpted, and for forever it shall be so.

Where does the time go
Fuck man that's og og, I was very young remembering that while building a house out of diamond blocks
From a person who played the game since its first release, i just want to say one thing.
Thank you for the memories, you will be missed...

Happy Birthday! Music God
My friends always used to get triggered whenever I tried explaining this to them.
