@@sepulcher8263 i dont even know how i do it after i ss ranked the entirity off dmc3 on dmd i was like THIS ISNT ENOUGHT PAIN so i ss ranked the game on dmd with no upgrades its in my channel if you think i am lying (well i havent done 18 and 17 but those are just easy but they take long and i am bored lol)
Discovered DMC3 last month, and have been playing it damn near religiously every since.
It's just pure fun, i simply don't know how else to say it. I haven't even played the main story more than like twice, just messing around in Bloody Palace, practicing combos, trying out the different styles.
I think so far i'm way better as Vergil than i am as Dante, but both are very fun to play as. Favourite styles so far are Trickster and kinda Royal Guard, though i'm still learning how to properly use it.
Excited to play the rest of the series, this one was so much fun.
"Dash and wait a whole second" is the best style. Otherwise, I love slowly walking up to an enemy as opposed to having a native dash button. It's fun to see how far gaming has come since 2005! 😊❤
Vergil is more of a "look at my mastery with swords and stuff" type character, while Dante is more "IM GONNA THROW RANDOM BULLSHIT AT YOU UNTILL YOU DIE" type character. Still love playing both of them

@@sopzmlg5616 unless you play it as Lucia. The game is about as good as dmc1 (they both suck) but Lucia makes the game a little more enjoyable as Lucia was clearly how they intended the game to be played but corpo head office forced them to put Dante into the game.

Good video! Only one thing, Viewtiful Joe is actualy from 2003 and was inspired not by DMC 3 but DMC 1. In fact, VJ, GodHand and Bayonetta were all made by the OG DMC guy Hideaki Kamiya, director of DMC 1

Just got into Dmc and i have to say this helps a mot because i suck in this game.
Eventually, if you continue to play, try combos, testing stuff, you wuill get much better, but since this commentary is 10 months old you probably got better already

i have red sun up in a second tab in my browser and i thought it was playing there. that is so awesome great choice. im just getting into 3d action games like dmc and this video was very cool of you to make.
Back then I picked up gunslinger first purely just because the spinning special in the air, I'd combo into the air with the duel swords use the spin juggle and slam with rebellion and continue, good times

*Update: I beat the game on normal and now I am trying to beat the game as vergil
*Update 2: I've beaten 1 3 and 5 and am close to beating 4 for i am currently on mission 14 on the game and finally unlocking dante. Honestly its been a hard journey but i just want to thank you dispite the fact that this comment 3 months away from being a year old

I'll take this advice for granted, and other tactics during my playthroughs of DMC3 like jump, weapon, and shotgun canceling, as well as DTE(Devil Trigger Explosion), juggling, and punting.

Vergil is easy if you use speedrun strats (aka remapping summoned swords to a shoulder button in order to spam them while you do normal attacks [you could play like this with regular controls, but i think my thumb is traumatized after i did])

@@sepulcher8263 originally i just played with regular controls, but these days when i play Vergil i put Shoot on the left trigger and change devil arm on square
Vergil doesn't change weapons nearly as much as Dante despite the fact that each of his weapons has less moves than Dante's. so having the change devil arm button on a more awkward position doesn't bother me that much

Recently picked up DMC and now I realize I accidentally made the game really difficult because I decided to use gunslinger because I like _gun_ .

Gunslinger is still strong at least in very hard
I actually find the spiders extremely fun to fight, but in fairness you do need to use Dante's entire SM move list plus side rolls to actually have fun killing them.
Pretty solid video, but i think it's gonna help a lot if you mentioned some advanced techniques (Jump cancelling,gunraving,buffering,feints,etc.) since this is suppose to be a "How to style".
I can only teach what i know. i have no clue what you mean by feints or gunraving; but people can learn that on their own
vergil can easily prefrom 3 Judgement cuts when doing one as long as the skill is unlocked just spam you melee button while he is doing one and it will do all 3.

First had trickster when I first played kinda suck s then like 2 mission 2 tries I used like sword aster in one died and then I used gunslinger helped and royal guard helps too but in a successful mission 2 stuck with swordsmaster it’s just op and good for dmg

Combos don't really matter unless you wanna do mad damage, i never got the hang of combos that well, but it's mostly switching weapons furring air rave or in the middle of your ground combo, this was a very early video I didn't put as much effort into it as I could of had cause I had only like 300 subs at the time and barely any views

Yh i recently bought dmc3se for the switch and immediately noticed 2 enemies that would steal my soul given the chance Fallen and the Arachne, and by the gods they are so annoying especially the fucking spiders with their health now I'm a decent player at dmc definitely not high on the scale of players but good enough to get through the game, I just started hard mode and was just thinking how those 2 enemies will be so annoying on the other difficulties especially when your trying to go for s they take so long to kill I'd appreciate any tips that you guys might have please and thank you.
You probably already figured at least some of this stuff out, but I’ll leave this here just in case you or anyone else has trouble with those enemies.
Arachnes are very annoying and hard to predict, usually their screams signal their next attack but it’s kinda hard to pay attention to that in the middle of the battle. Use Agni and Rudra since Arachnes are weak to fire, slash them around for a bit, jump back, repeat. Usually when they parry an attack your best bet will be to dodge or jump, but iirc if you’re quick enough you can switch to Rebellion and use Stinger to cancel their attack (probably won’t work in DMD though). If they trap you with webbing, you can just Devil Trigger to escape, otherwise quickly move the left stick. With Vergil, Spiral Swords, Aerial Rave and Lunar Phase should be enough.
As for the Fallens, with Dante use Swordmaster to attack them with Aerial Rave in order to break their shield, then stand near them and use the shotgun as it makes them recoil after some shots (again, probably won’t work on DMD). Their spinning lance attack won’t hit you if you’re near them, and the recoil from the shotgun should reset their pattern so they don’t do the exploding lance attack. Also, if you’re in Freestyle mode, you can switch to Gunslinger and use charged shotgun shots. With Vergil just spam Aerial Rave, it’s much quicker than Dante’s version and deals more damage so it usually makes short work of the Fallens.

I hate to say this but they don't make game like this anymore it just fps or normal style fighting game no more combat crazy game like ghost of tsushima but even ghost of tsushima don't hold too this level of fun this game just build different

Oh it absolutely becomes second nature, it's very free form, you ca' do what ever you want
You can just switch weapons constantly and that's already a pretty cool looking combo

The Jump canceling in mid-air is the real challenge, Royal guard and switch cancel are quite easy once you get the hang of it
Kinda beating off the path here, I actually like DMC1 and have a disdain for DMC3. But this is a nice guide in how to style in DMC3.

The spiders spawn those pesky spiderlings after death and the Webs sometimes don't follow a proper arch trajectory but the spiders are at least manageable. The Fallen, I just don't understand until now how they work. Their attacks miss in the closest proximity but attacking them even after breaking their wings feels like it's not doing damage. And I hate how they get to be with a hell vanguard in Bloody palace. They both feel forever to kill. They also block the screen.

No absolutely not, but it's my configuration that I found made playing gunslinger comfortable to play, you can play gunslinger on default controls if you feel cfortable with that :)
Also I might have some of the controls mixed up in that screen shot L2 should only be change gun

Dmc 3 pioneered a game that was released b4 it came out? Viewtiful joe predates dmc 3 by a year. You giving the game abit too much credit especially when the first dmc 1 is way more important to half the titles you listed
Then i was completely mistaken, honestly thought most clover games came out around 2005 and 2008 but clover closed in 2006 i was wrong, should have done my reasearch

i’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you were playing on very hard but there are 2 main flaws i see which is
1. This isn’t turbo mode. Dmc3 should always be played on turbo unless you’re playing vanilla
2. it’s not Dante Must Die. The enemies don’t have enough health for me at lower difficulties. Very hard is probably the best difficulty without having to deal with beefy enemies though

@@Rafikator i’m saying that you can style better on DMD basically but I completely understand why some people like very hard more. I personally grinded the heck out of VH till I could get good at DMD with both characters. Surprisingly enough you can play Vergil the same exact way he plays in UMVC3 which is his main gimmick in that game.
