  • Another number from the 2011 off-Broadway production of "Death Takes a Holiday": Julian Ovenden and Jill Paice in "More and More," music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. Ovenden experienced vocal problems that prevented him from playing the full run and recording the album.

It is wonderful to have another clip for Julian Ovenden's stunning performance in DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY. It's hard to believe that he was experiencing vocal problems during the production because on the night that this performance was recorded, he sounds wonderful. Thank you for this bit of a show I wish I had seen!

I hope he comes back to New York to do another musical soon. He was UNFORGETTABLE as the Baron in Grand Hotel at the Donmar Warehouse. A glorious production which should have gotten a cast recording, and had a longer life beyond the Donmar.

If possible, could you please post Rebecca Luker's number from act 2?? It was the most beautiful song in the show...and would be a fitting tribute to this great artist.

So glad you posted this. The evening I attended the show in the theater, I saw him for about three minutes in the opening of the show, and then there was an announcement that his understudy was taking over the part due to illness. Ovenden left the show after that and never returned. Do you have the rest of the show?

I know it's too much to ask, but if you have more clips from this musical with Ovenden can you please share them?
