I bought the vocal selections at the Broadway flea market this past week for $5 and I can't wait to start learning the music. Gotta love Maury Yeston :)
Possibly a good show live but I lament the days gone by of Rogers & Hammerstein, Lerner & Lowe, Lorenz Hart, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin etc. brilliantly memorable shows with unforgettable music and lyrics.
Emily Efseaff, he came down with laryngitis before opening night. Kevin Earley, his understudy, went on. Because it was a limited run he decided to drop out and let Kevin continue the run. That is why you hear Kevin on the cast recording instead of Julian.

so glad to hear a new musical by maury yeston. nine and titanic have some of the best scores ever. i have to get in to see this before it closes.
The cast is dazzling and Maury Yeston's stunning score just soars. Such a beautiful production. Cannot wait for a cast album.

Saw Death takes a Holiday on opening night, and I enjoyed it very much! I hope they record it!
after watching Julian Ovenden in Show Boat I'd have loved to have seen this. he's great! there's gotta be a full copy out there..
