I assume there was no outcome for the Olsens’ 2004 lawsuit against Acclaim, because the company filed for bankruptcy and liquidated all of their assets later that year. So technically, on some level, Mary-Kate and Ashley helped drive the final nails into Acclaim’s coffin.
Miss when the guys put this much effort into science facts. Can't be that hard to Google or click wiki hyper links of the companies and devs involved
@@kellypaul9940 As I’ve learned from watching Matt McMuscles’ “What Happened” series, if there’s a big story behind something (for example everything that went wrong with Aliens: Colonial Marines) usually there’s way too much information to fit into a WGE science fact. In cases of lesser-known titles especially from before the seventh console generation, coming across information is easier said than done. For example, literally the only information I can find about the Olsen’s lawsuit against Acclaim is that it was filed in April of 2004. With Acclaim declaring bankruptcy only five months later, it’s pure conjecture on my part that the pending lawsuit only added to the years of financial woes Acclaim had been experiencing since their early ‘90s peak.

There were 9 Mary-Kate & Ashley video games (1999-2002) that were all fairly bad and at least 18 movies from 1992 - 2004. In 2014 the Olsen twins announced they were retiring from acting in favor of fashion.

Ive been following them for about 2 years and its astonishing they dont have more subscribers, their content is amazing and varied and consistent. WGE is my favorite series though and I've watched every episode including the ones on their old channel. You could probably find a correlation between the lack of Mary-Kate and Ashley media promoting malls during the later 2000's and the continued failure of American malls.

I counted at least six times in this video that Ben’s soul attempted to flee his body, I think that’s a new Worst Games Ever record.
Only 6 times? I thought the most times Ben's soul tried to flee his own body was at least 5-7 times? Even some of the longer Worst Games Ever episodes haven't had Ben's soul tried to run that many times, only about 2 or 4 times, at least. It's mainly Peter's soul that has the most attempts to try and run away from his body usually, isn't it?

To be completely fair- this WAS a PS1 game. The models are pretty comparable to what was average at the time.
I mean, it's a game designed and aimed at a specific demographic, so it's a bit unfair to expect it to have the same kind of broadly appealing design as a Final Fantasy or Metal Gear game, yes?
In even AAA games of the time, it was very rare to have the game models have moving mouths outside of cutscenes.

Seeing the Yogscast hoodie in a brand new episode of Worst Games Ever in 2022 threw me off so much
I was sorting through my game collection and decided to boot up youtube while I did so. I literally had this game in my hand when I saw the upload, spooky!
To be fair, having mouth movement for speech on ps1 is pretty impressive. Graphically this game is quite good for the time. The game is still trash though.
It still weirds me out that their little sister is lighting up the MCU.
I enjoyed this game growing up I think I found this game at 17, and fell in love with the story of the campaign.

Me and my friend loved the horse game for Mary Kate and Ashley... We never beat it, but it was fun and we both remember playing it :) happy days.

I LOVED this game as a kid ( mind you, I was playing this the same time I was obsessed with playing the OG Tomb Raider games ) and I thought it was fun. I probably played the food court game and the "Fash" game the most out of these. I always thought the picture taking with the lifeguard boys to be weird though. this was the only Mary-Kate and Ashley game I liked, I never really tried the others.

I’m gonna be honest this game was amazing and I’m a dude. I was young kid like 6 or 7 when I played this. The music goes hard in this game. Also pretty fun at times 😂

In the videos they put out when they were tiny you often saw them being really quite mean to their younger sister. And then she developed reality altering superpowers and used them to destroy their careers.

This game is actually extremely underrated. When this came out it had some of the BEST graphics anybody had seen by far. Not only that the game mechanics were way ahead of its time. I really think they nailed the presentation too. I played this game for almost everyday for 2.5 years and I still have my original sitting on top of my fireplace mantle.
