Sometimes we become allergic or hypersensitive to things from overexposure. I breed dubia roaches to feed my pets and the first few months i was fine touching and breathing in the air of the room the dubias were kept in but after half a year or so I developed allergies to them. I kept a box of the dubias in my bedroom so i think it made it worse. I can no longer touch them with bare hands or breathe in the air around the breeding box. If i touch one dubia, my hands will turn red and itch badly. Then if i touch any part of my body with that same hand i get the same reaction to those spots as well and its terribly itchy. If i breathe in the air around the box of dubias my airways swell up and i cant breathe, eyes start to water and swell up. It feels like my airways closed up. Its so bad that i dont have the mood to breed the dubias anymore but still have a big box of them outside. I also collect edible fig trees and developed an allergy to their leaves after a few months too after over exposure of rubbing my skin against them as i walk around the fig house. I get the same itchy redness i get with dubias with any contact with a fig leaf. So your coral hypersensitivity or allergy may get worse overtime

Yes it's literally how allergies develop. We're mildly allergic to many things but the more you expose yourself the worse the allergy gets. I was a chef for 15 years and people would develop allergies to shellfish and things like that if they didn't wear gloves.

@@Mark-hb2zy hey im a chef too haha hope i dont become allergic to any of my fav food. Oh i also developed an allergy i guess to shrimp when i peeled them cooked or uncooked but i can eat them fine luckily. Hands just itch for awhile
