- In this video I'm hanging some drywall in a bathroom. I do some of the regular gypsum board on the walls and I hang some mold resistant drywall over the bathtub and shower.
Don't laugh too hard at the hole in my pants LOL

Best drywall video that shows you how to work with situational imperfections. Thank you sir.
I was screwed over by a contractor and now I’m left doing the rest myself. You sir, are ridiculously fast! Thank you for the great video! Very well done! I can’t wait to tackle my bathrooms now.
You make that look incredibly easy! Great tutorial!!
Awesome video. Being a plumbing contractor I can't tell you how many tubs we've torn out with drywall over the flange. Nice to see someone finally addressed this in a video
Great job mate! Thanks for uploading!
I always cut my doors, and outside corners long that way if something isn't straight it's fixed when you're done. It's an extra cut but it looks so much better than having a gap.
I may start doing that around the tubs. We've always covered up the lip of the tub, but it usually looks like shit. Never thought about filling it with hot mud. The good builders shim the wall, but there aren't many of those around.
OMG - you are a drywall'in fool. Amazingly efficient. Great job dude! Thanks for the hints too.
Great video and commentary! Love it! Keep up the great work, guys! 👍🏾
Its amazing how different it is with how America hangs plaster boards and how we do it in Australia
Amazing you cut drywall so quickly
Good job, you were taught well. I'm a retired tile and floor installer out of Spokane and that's the first time I've ever seen someone rock a bathtub flange correctly. They always overlap the flange and it looks like crap. I come in after the fact and cut it to the flange so it doesn't sit at an angle. They also do that at the bottom of the tub when it needs tile backer board (Dens-Shield). I just tell them to leave the tub or shower enclosure alone and I'll take care of it, especially with a mud shower pan, it's just easier than fixing it. By the way, nobody is looking at the hole in your pants.
Thats the reason i came here. All i ever see is drywall over the flange and i wanted to see someone else do it. I would like to see the mudding in too though.
hey that's what i was thinking.
Damn dude you’re moving super quick with that drill. Good stuff
Dam I never knew how fast you can go . I could watch this 3 more times . Wish you were my next store neighbor . You make it look so easy . Good video , A plus
Wow you make it look easy
great tutorial
Thank you.
Beautiful handling
Great information. Ty
Great video bro 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
The cameraman was so quiet until the end I forgot he was there lol
This little czcams.com/users/postUgkxVoi3B4CB6Oygq1-vo4OTL1M_M5JkrXif tub works perfect in our 6 x 6 shower and is easy to get in and out. Also easy to drain.
I watch how to drywall videos for my entertainment i find it hilarious that must ppl don't know how to drywall I didnt laugh watching this one u sir have it figured out you use the same technique as I do both trained by the right person
I just subscribed and I’m about to go hang drywall today...Love the videos man...
Great video by the way
Excellent video, keep up the good work
You guys are good
Thanks dude 👍😎
Awesome bro, thanks
love your video...you don't waste time and are really concise, yet don't skip the details. Oh, and I never would have noticed the rip in your pants if you hadn't mentioned it!! LOL
Good job hombre
I'd like to know how you make the holes for the outles and plumbing :-
Thank you more than you know!
I have a popcorn ceiling in my bathroom. I’ve replaced the drywall around the tub and now am stuck on what to do to join the new drywall to the ceiling. Do I need to remove and replace the ceiling drywall? Or should I scrape off the popcorn, tape/mud the joint? Any advice would be appreciated...
What type of drill is that and what size screws? They go in so quickly!
Hi do you go around and screw up after all the sheets are hung ?
I’m going to do this to existing walls in my bathroom 😊 any tips ?
quick guestion how much do you charge per sqft or do you charge by sheet
Hi there. May i ask what attachment you have in your powerdrill to drive the screws in so quick and well. cheers and thanks
It's not an attachment, it's the screwgun that's built for driving screws that quick. Impact/combi drills are too slow for tacking
Subscribed. I see you call out all in eighth's,
Dang man u threw them up quick and precise .
Thanks! It was kind a last minute video at the end of a long day. Should have the house video by this weekend. :)
Nomadic INK keep up the good work man , also the kid is an animal . He makes some of my journeyman look real bad hahaha I subbed man
Oh yeah one the hardest workers I have. Awesome glad to have you here. :)
What gloves you use
Dude I have questions. Why do you install drywall in a horizontal position vs a vertical position?
question: If I am not doing tile and painting the sheetrock, The piece you put on top of the shower would go past and touch the showers walls inside? thank you
No you'll still hang the drywall to the flange of the shower and you fill the gap in with hot mud.
Shouldn't have any problems panting it to the edge of tub after its been hot mudded. Just mame sure you're only touch the flange and not over lapping it or you'll have a hump on the wall at the shower top.
Hope this helps. Thanks for the question
Nice Video want to know why how days the drywall is hung length wise when I all ways thought there was more support hanging in Up Right. Van you answer this.
czcams.com/video/Ys019w1VyIg/video.html here's a video that might help you out. If you don't find your answer here I'll see what else I can explain about the differences
Hello from the UK, I don't know if you can answer this question but here it goes, will the cutout tool go through 2x 15mm SoundShield Plus (Denser than Standard)
Yes it will with the right bit. Find out with router bit that will work best and youll be fine.
Any preference between Dewalt & Milwaukee, cheers again.
holy fuck buddy - you are a machine! great video. good job!
Sweet vid. How do your screws go in so easy? Are you pushing hard on the drill?
good video brahhh
Stop by my place in Anchorage, Alaska. I'll grab a sixxer of your favorite brew.
Pants look fine, what's the concern ? I'm more concerned with out-of-square framed house that you are trying to compensate for ! .. Great How-to-Dry-wall video !
Maybe it's cuz I spent an hour-and-a-half looking at that video going over edits that that little thread drove me nuts. I took out a bunch of other footage that had that thing dangling like crazy LOL I guess I just could have kept it to myself. Yeah those are Framers got a little out-of-control up in that bonus room. But that's just what we do fix the framing as we go when we can
Who knew ,I was going to rock over the flange. But then again you need to get HOT mudd.
Is that at Lowe’s?
Yes its at Lowe's. It's just fast setting mud
Did you get some new bags or different ones a use those look different
Yes I did. The big oxy bags where just too big for what I'm doing now. I have a smaller drywall pouch and a 3 screw fastener bag. And I also got a high sitting hammer holder . probably review/show em off in a video soon
When doing the walls why do you start with the top sheet and work down ?
so you can kick or lift the sheets making tight seams. the floor doesn't need to be tight, it gets covered with baseboard
O this is what the daredevil actor is up to after Netflix canceled the show.
I would gladly grab and pull
I wish you lived in my town so I could just hire you to do this instead of having to do this shit myself lmao.
James Showers is fresh.
Thanks Kat ;)
Great video, man. 2 things:
-I've always wondered why drywallers take off the base/shoe of the rotozip. What's the advantage?
-I hope you do a new pouch setup/review with the rig you're using!
Peace!
I take the base off because it allows you to get clothes for the drywall when your router in the boxes and the doors. Routers are actually meant to be laminate cutting tools 4 countertops and whatnot. And that's what you'd use that guide setup for is that application
Quick access for that lunch break booty call. lol jk. Did you actually cut the tub?
No I didn't cut the tub. Just saying it's not a great idea to cut your pieces on that surface
I bearn all my threads
And that’s how you use a tool belt.
As he holds the whole sheet up with one hand, and putts around, hmm free hand a pencil mark on left side - lets do another hundred more -
Awesome! Can you do a video on you putting up tile backer??
Yes I will as soon as I come across a home that needs some installed.
Should be closed to the same as regular drywall is installed. Cuts the same anyways.
Nomadic INK yea for the most part I’ve seen my coworkers do it but I’m just mostly curious what the preferable layout is since most of the backers we use are 3x5 boards. Every time I ask a coworker, each one tells me something different or they just prefer to do it themselves -_-. There was another apprentice working with us who accidentally screwed into the plastic floor lining that stops leaks and now they don’t let us younger guys go at the bathrooms. Anyways, thanks man. Looking forward to the vid
Screw it off
What is ur screw pattern
12 inch apart. Shear walls are 6. On the 54 inch board I shoot for 10inches
Cleanest name in the biz, bashes a hole in the bottom of the board. But still, decent work
I'm a drywaller, putting that butt joint at the corner of the tub is a hard one to finish....would've been better to run a sheet across the whole wall
Is your last name Showers? Are you a role model? Doesn't this job take a toll on you after a while?
Yes my last name is showers. I guess I'm a role model to the guys on my crew. I definitely Mentor them when I can.
This job can take a toll on your body you have to keep up on massages Chiropractic maybe even work out to stay fit. And also know when to rest.
SQUAAAANCH
lol whats squancher mean - rookie?
George Brah it’s a Character off Rick & Morty
If you're not yanking on butt threads, you're not working hard.
WHAT IS HOT MUD
Fast set mud.
Wtf sloppy as f
Nice video 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 what’s your IG
Great fucking video man!
Thanks! More to come :)
