Why Nepali Tea can make us RICH?

- Nepal's tea industry is struggling. For too long, Nepali tea has been overshadowed by Indian tea - the truth is Nepal grows great tea but hasn't been able to brand and sell it on its own. Nepali farmers often sell their tea to Indian companies who then repackage and resell that same tea as Indian tea! This needs to change if Nepal's tea industry is to thrive. In this video, I'll discuss how Nepal can overcome this challenge by focusing on marketing, branding and selling directly to consumers. Nepali tea has a rich history, great flavor and massive potential - if Nepal can get its tea branding right, it has a real chance to compete with Indian tea and beyond. So join me as we explore how Nepal can truly showcase its tea to the world.

It's high time we take Nepali tea to the world. The French have wine, the Scots have whiskey, the Swiss have chocolates and Nepalis have tea!
Nepal can partner with India to capture the broarder market.
❤
No nepal have weed

We are TAMAKHU Coffee & Tea from Los Angeles. We import and sell tea from Nepal here. It's tough to bring it from Nepal and keep it top-quality, but we are doing our best. We are glad to see this video spreading the word about Nepali tea.🙏
❤
Our over dependency on India is a major problem. If we try to expand the relationship with other countries, have the trademark right and export the products firsthand, we can progress in this field very well.
I've been enjoying Nepali tea from a Los Angeles-based company called Tamakhu Coffee & Tea. They import their tea directly from Nepal. It's surely not easy bringing quality tea from so far away, but they seem to do a great job at it. It's wonderful to see this video highlighting Nepali tea, and I feel proud to be a small part of it by supporting Tamakhu.
Thank you for supporting Nepali teas
During my stay in Russia, there was a Nepali Tea Brand called "Kumari" which was imported in Russia by Indian suppliers.Foreigners are interested in tea and doesn't care to pay high for it.
I’m from Ilam Nepal we are cultivating tea and I already work in tea factory also but here in Ilam most of the farmer are disappointed because of government and lack of support

Nepal should practice how other landlocked countries managed to have rightful access and unitization of port.
Great information ..keep it up bro👍️👏👏👌नेपालका नेता तेति सचेत, देशभक्त र बुद्धि भएका नेताहरू भएको भए यतिबेला नेपाल पनि विस्वको धनि , शक्तिशालि र विकसित राष्ट्र भैसक्ने थियो। हाम्रा नेताहरु लम्पसार , भिखारि भ्रष्ट भएरै मर्छन् ।
It would be really beneficial if you could make a video discussing the coffee production potential of Nepal.
Thankyou! for covering Nepal tea 🙌🏻
Yet there’s a lot more to cover.
Nepal is a land of great opportunities for economic advancement, but the only problem is the Govt is dragging the efforts of the private sector. Need more progressive acting governance.
What a Quality of content
Hat's off to the Nepali comment team❤
Even though I am living in France, I still prefer Nepali tea. I buy tokala tea here in nepali store. The tokala tea is amazing.
Thank you for your effort to inform on tea production in nepal.
Good work 👏
So glad about the tea propescts of nepal and its history as it is one of the important aspect of Nepal.
Despite of gaining enormous profit from products, tea pluckers are getting paid below average which is dark side of kanchanjanga tea state😢😢
Nepalese tea is sold to indian merchants at a very low price .India mixes it with Darjeeling tea and sales at high price.
Yes..that's true;
Not only tea but also coffee ☕️ becoming better quality and more plantation 😊
Very informative . Thank you for your presentation. I suggest there should be good network among the tea producers and discuss issues related to quality tea production to global marketing. Also put forward our genuine issues at different levels of the government for their support. We are new in this field; ten years experience and love to learn from each others experience so we can make our tea number one in the world.
Sir please make a video on Gulmi's coffee production,it's challenges and prospects too.
Yes
Informative as always, keep it up.
Good...yestai awarness video banaunu..keep it up..Dherai ramro content.
this content is pure gold!
Good presentation, do you know why Darjeeling is best as the country gets more thunder and lightning which produces nitrogen that fertilizes the tea garden and makes the tea with the best flavor. Should research that also, as you know tea garden grows smaller trees, where these trees' roots catch the nitrogen from the thunder and lightning and spread around the soil of the vast tea garden and get fertilized.
if Nepal initiates on tea industry trade defecit could be decreased on the other hand people would be able to get job opportunity in the native land ❤
Good to see some optimistic content finally.
A really good content bro !! Its better to highlight the potentials of our country more...ali kati khusi lagdo raixa sunda pni..nepal farkera k garna sakinxa vanne idea haru batuldai gareko manxe lai
India always a thorn in Nepals development ! And We are equally responsible in keeping our mouth shut against Indias bullying and trade embargo
true. Our leaders are puppet of India so that's why they can't do anything. We just need a good leader for our country who is no puppet and not scared to any other nation
What thorn? You don't want to develop yourself and always cry 😢
can't accept the fact eh? didn't you watch the video properly? @@Gogfdugkjfkfkg
India produces tea more thn the size of nepal haha😂😂 state of assam produces more tea thn whole of nepal haha😂😂😂
yes we know that. We never said Nepal produces more tea than India. We also know India is more powerful and developed than Nepal. But you and we also must know that how India has stopped a lot of developments of Nepal since the history. The factories and industries we had in the past was indirectly bought/stopped by India so that they could export their products in Nepal and that is exactly what is happening in Nepal. Alnost everything comes from India to Nepal. Thanks to our greddy politicians of Nepal. The international airport, the train track building from China, and many more like you seen in this video are examples of how India is blocking the development of Nepal. This is a fact whether you believe or not. @@kthapa9697

एकदमै सही कुरा गर्नु भयो हजुरलाई धन्यबाद छ
Great Video there you pointed out the exact problem that we are a solution for. The problem is of Marketing. Due to a lack of knowledge in Nepalese Teas traders about how to market their teas overseas, most of our teas get exported to India, Where they get labeled as tea of Indian origin, before getting exported out as Darjeeling Tea. HOwever there is a very shiny and prominent silver lining. The response for our high elevation Teas from Nepal has been great here in the United States and as a company marketing Nepalese Teas here, we are excited to whats coming for the entire Nepali Tea industry. Once Again, thank you so much for your effort in shining a light on the problem
No one can beat Nepal in tea ☕️ if with great management 🙏👍
Indeed! our volatile climate makes one of the most unique teas!
Not only that most of Tea lord Owner are Indian in Nepal even thou Land is Nepal. Unless Nepali Young enterprenier don't come .There is no change
Yep and the Indian owners exploit Nepalese workers paying them very little. Then the tea is exported to India and Labelled there and sold to the world as an Indian tea. Nepal government jaba samma baliyo hudaina taba samma India le yesari nai faida luti rahancha.
Nepali entrepreneur aye ni dherai tah difference lewnu sakdaina jasto lagcha. Nepal tea ko biggest buyer India ho! ani Indian buyers lai Nepal tea ko sabai costing tha huncha, ani last ma hami lai diney vaneko minimum margin ho. Aba government lae quality standard ra minimum export price rakhnu pareo pahila ani bistari kei huncha ki

Good content for awareness of tea. But export of tea and its potential is well circulating and a paradox. We nepali don't even have a culture of drinking orthodox teas, but we, Divine Tea and Organic Hub have initiated tea culture from our outlet. Please explore

Bro! Can you make a video on the potential of coffee production in Nepal?
When Nepali carpet/Rugs (Galaicha) industry took over the world in late 80s to mid 1990s, some nations took it to the International forum and alleged that Forced Child labour was used in Nepal's carpet industry, this accusation (although true to some extent) derailed the future of Nepali carpet industry and crippled it forever. As a means to damage control, then ministry of Industry and Commerce brought forth a sweeping reform to eliminate any Child labour from the industry and, introduced a sticker to be stiched along in those Carpet/Rugs, which was named 'Rugmark', which connoted that the Carpet/Rugs bought by foreign consumers was free from Child Labour. But the damage was already done.
Guess who was behind derailing the prospects of the Nepali Galaicha industry? While Bangladesh became No.1 in exporting the garments while practicing similar and often more hazardous work conditions, where 1125 labourers were killed in 2013. Yet no one dared to question them.
