My son 9 and looks 11. Size run in my fam but he's not playin contact football till he's 7th grade. Not gonna burn him out or cure him out.
James Russell train him in 5th grade for it so when he gets to 7th grade he’ll be ready and chew both years than might get a chance at going to a good high school and chew all four years to a high d1 school
When you wait to have your child play contact sports, the more it can scare them with the hitting because they have to start off hitting and getting hit by bigger people, it also gives others a head start against your child if they started earlier. And i'm not trying to tell you how to raise your kid but i'm just telling you my advice. Plus if he really loves the game, he won't burn out, he will have a love for the grind no matter how much it hurts.

You have to be careful on their joints and ligaments because they're so small. So the workouts are usually super light max rep workouts . All that it stunts your growth was never true. Was suggested by some drs ,but look up most children drs from some of the most prominent hospital and they will say otherwise

I like it. It’s the discipline and work ethic that will pay off. You can’t really tell what type of athlete he’ll be or his size until puberty hits but if he’s having fun then it’s all worth it.

I remembered his father being a Blood gang leader in NJ on some CZcams videos I saw him in. As soon as they said they were from NJ, that was the confirmation.
