  • Head to head comparison between the $350 Hypervolt and sub $60 clone from aliexpress. Is the price difference worth it?

    I don't think they're clones I think hyperice were dropshipping businesses and other massage brands still are. I also think that they private labelled them and customized the products hence why they sell them for $200 more to make a profit on top of all the costs they have to pay for drop shipping these! Well at least hyperice has stopped buying from china since they got big

    thanks for great info. my Hypervolt got louder on the 2nd day of use, little extra noise. I got the same info from you.

    The cheaper version I have and it doesn't turn on anymore, only turns on when it's charging simultaneously. Any suggestions on how to fix it

    • @AGuThing
      @AGuThing  Před 3 lety +3

      Likely the battery is shot. Happens with they Hyperice too, only difference is Hyperice has great customer service and they sent me a new battery right away, no questions asked. Unfortunately you are probably out of luck unless you're inclined to tinker with it. If you took the battery apart I'd guess they were just 18650 or similar lithium batteries inside.

    Have you applied your back? Due to pandemic we sitting more and u know back pains appearing, was thinking to get one just for back pain, is it somehow makes better? Should i consider one?

    • @AGuThing
      @AGuThing  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes! Works great on the back, just be careful not to hit your spine or any other bony structures. Much easier to have a partner work with you.

    What ended up happening after the month/year? Wondering if the AliExpress version held up/ended up failing and which one you would buy again a year later.

    • @AGuThing
      @AGuThing  Před 3 lety +4

      Still holding up! I've been taking the Aliexpress one with me when I travel so I wouldn't be as bummed if I lost it. If you can afford it, I'd go with they Hyperice the extra power and great customer service are worth it. If you can't afford it, the Aliexpress one is still a great alternative in my opinion.

      @@AGuThing Awesome, thanks for the heads up - I ended up getting the AliExpress one for starters and if it becomes a big enough part of my routine, I'll upgrade to the HyperIce. Awesome video, really helpful

    What about the stall force... The force that you need to stop the movement? Thanks

    • @AGuThing
      @AGuThing  Před 3 lety

      Similar stall force in comparable settings, so at the top end, Hypervolt wins.

    Is the battery interchangeable for both the Hypervolt and clone from Aliexpress?

    • @AGuThing
      @AGuThing  Před 3 lety +1

      They are not. They look exactly the same to the naked eye; contact points, shape, etc but they must be a hair off here and there as neither slides all the way in to the other.

      Yeah, always somewhat of a gamble buying electronics from Aliexpress. I think the quality of the items are generally decent, it's the quality control that's lacking.

    Hello the volume of the noise of the motor deteriorating is likely a lubrification issue who can probably get fix with some wd 40
    Still I would be very careful opening theses electric high voltage things!

      Pretty close to the hypervolt, I haven't specifically tracked it, but I feel like I get about the same amount of use. I took it with me snowboarding and used it 20 - 30 minutes a day for 3 days straight and still had close to 50%.
