BRUTUS playing 'There's a light that never goes out' live at Studio Brussel in Belgium, on 12th April 2017. www.stubru.be / studiobrussel / stubru / stubru
Take me out tonight Where there's music And there's people Who are young and alive. Driving in your car I never never want to go home Because I haven't got one anymore anymore Take me out tonight Cause I wanna see the people And I wanna see the light Driving in your car Oh please don't drop me home Because it's not mine no it's theirs And I'm welcome no more Take me out tonight Take me out tonight Where there's music And there's people And we are alone(??) Note: the original had a lot more verses and some of the words are different in this version. I went through hell trying to decipher the rest. The echo at the end of "alone" is the only reason I think that's right. I love this song, listen to it daily. Brutus have become one of my favorites since finding them only a couple of months ago.
Amazing rendition, is about the absolute least that can be said about this. I've been listening to this off and on for the past year, and am astounded at how she interpreted this in such an as-yet unimagined way. Brilliance abounds.
Good call. But I also think that if you're deep enough to listen to Brutus then you probably know it's a Smiths cover just by reading the title. I know I did.
That would have been fair to quote it was a cover from THE SMITHS I think...at least on the lines below the video...! Besides, me I'm not impressed...the reverb does it all...
I listen to this everyday. It is amazing. Great discovery. Thank you CZcams algorithm for sending me here.
Take me out tonight
Where there's music
And there's people
Who are young and alive.
Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one anymore anymore
Take me out tonight
Cause I wanna see the people
And I wanna see the light
Driving in your car
Oh please don't drop me home
Because it's not mine no it's theirs
And I'm welcome no more
Take me out tonight
Take me out tonight
Where there's music
And there's people
And we are alone(??)

Merci, het is waar..
Mooie cover van The Smith's song, fijn dat zij de ongevallen uit de songtekst liet
Amazing rendition, is about the absolute least that can be said about this. I've been listening to this off and on for the past year, and am astounded at how she interpreted this in such an as-yet unimagined way. Brilliance abounds.
I am crying
Stefanie Loving... The best song , favorite girl 💙🌹🦋
Wonderful.. as you are Stefanie..
As a big Smiths and Brutus fan, this made my day :) you should do an Oasis song next

Beutiful voice - amazing production .
This is amazing!
You are perfect 🖤
WOW
I’m in love
Beautiful cover, but would love to hear you singing the second verse, especially with your haunting vocals the underpass lyrics would really resonate.
What a gem
Perfect
nice
At .75 speed it’s heavenly
X0. 25, its awesome
Yup. It is
Is there a song where she doesnt scream incessantly ?
soul
Top
Ow shit... wow
Nada mal eh!
Why don't you guys mention it's a cover of the Smiths?
Good call. But I also think that if you're deep enough to listen to Brutus then you probably know it's a Smiths cover just by reading the title. I know I did.
She did also " A forest" from the Cure. All the bands I loved as a teenager.
Better lyrics than those from The Smiths, far less negative...with all respect for The Smiths...
@@RobertSoer Yeah, lots of people don't like it when music isn't all happy happy joy joy. That's exactly why I like the Smiths and Joy Division.
@@mammontustado9680 Yeah but I don't like bands that usually don't make good songs and then suddenly I'm blown away by a song that.....isn't theirs.
Me like
Schoon, maar waar is dien woesten bassist??!
fuckin' awsome. maybe some chillstep remix??
Voorbeeld van een echt goede cover? I put a spell on you van Jay Hawkins gecoverd door CCR. Magistrale gitaarsolo van John Fogherty.
A bit over with the reverb, the voice is already nice without it, but maybe that's just this artists style
I think that makes her sound more special. You can feel her emotions.
Zalige cover
Wauw, dit is gewoon fucking goe...
zalig
Bagger voor de mesthoop dus!
Bedankt voor uw mening Theo, ik zou er nog reactie of vijf over schrijven :)
Bam...elle est encore célibataire, zeg ?
Better than the Smiths. lol
nope.
@@genebcolon yep. 👍
t Vrouwke kan wel goed zingen en drummen. Maar dan houdt het ook op. Origineel zijn is niet aan deze dame besteed.
Or how to reduce a beautiful song (The Smiths) to a monstrosity.
That would have been fair to quote it was a cover from THE SMITHS I think...at least on the lines below the video...!
Besides, me I'm not impressed...the reverb does it all...
No one cares, go and drink your stupid whisky
k´boomer
The reverb doesn’t do it all lol. Her voice is fantastic.
