Oh my gracious I saw the saddest fiddle at Home Depot one day and I wanted to try to revive her but I was not confident in my skills! The poor thing was on death row... if only I’d had this video then!

I was shopping at Safeway & walked past the flower section and a Fiddle Leaf fig called my name! It was the only one there! It was a very nice medium size and looked healthy and I noticed it was marked down to $5.99!!! I bought it! The cashier asked about it and I told her it was the last one over there & she looked so sad. I did have to repot it because it had drainage holes on the sides. I put it in a BEAUTIFUL pot with drainage holes. Glad I saw your video & I'm praying my Fiddle Leaf fig lives!🌳🌿🌱❤

I have one beautiful Fiddleleaf. She did shed some leaves about a month after I brought her home from the nursery. A friend repotted her and discovered root rot. New soil and pot, and she has been happy ever since. Whitney is very entertaining yet informative. Fun to watch!😊

Miss Whitney, this is by far one of the most informative and fun videos I have ever watched ! I’m 70 yrs old, and just bought my first Fiddle Leaf . I hesitated to even bring it home because I don’t have that green thumb like you do. It needs to be repotted which is what I’m doing today. I’m a bit concerned tho as the leaves are curled inwards and I don’t know why. I’m scared to water it as I tend to overwater my plants. She’s just a tiny little thing, but I do love these plants ❤️. wheres the evidence? its just a myth because there r too many factors to grow plants (sunlight,Water, Soil, tempurature etc) to prove that talking nice will do anything. and anyway what makes u think that plants speak english lol. how does the sound vibration of talking do anything? dont be gullible, its bad and people can take advantage of you for it.
If anything its the carbon dioxide coming out of our mouths & the plant is taking it in, however idk how talking to them negatively makes them walk the plank

I just bought a fiddle leaf (named it Fred) yesterday! I was researching all last night on how to take care of it and now I’m glad I’ve seen your video. Rn it’s in a pot with NO drainage holes, I am going to change that right stinky away!! Thanks for all the advice on how to keep Fred thriving 🌱
You are hilarious! I purchased a small fiddleleaf fig a few months ago, and because I didn't kill it, I bought two large ones a month ago. They are thriving under the floor lamp in my livingroom. One has grown two leaves, and is a foot taller. The other plant is sprouting a new leaf. They are still in their original pots, from the Meijer supermarket where I purchased them. The first time I watered them, I used a solution of 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 3 parts water. That solution kills any potential fungus gnats and their eggs etc., and oxygenates the soil. Then I sprayed them with neem oil several times the first week. I then put anot 2 inches of sand on top of the soil, to smother any gnats that might be in the pots. I just got rid of a gnat infestation in my remaining houseplants this way, after killing off a few, before I learned about Neem oil. I also watered my other plants with a Neem oil mixture. Everybody is happy now. Thanks for the tip about the holes in the side of the pots. Repotting will be my next project. I will also get the ficus plant food as well. I have loved this kind of plant for years, and I'm proud to be a fiddleleaf ficus mom of three. My other favorite houseplants I also have, are Pachiras and Good Luck bamboos. They do well everywhere I live. Thanks again for the plant tips. I can't wait to use them!

Everybody is happy now. Thanks for the tip about the holes in the side of the pots. Repotting will be my next project. I will also get the ficus plant food as well. I have loved this kind of plant for years, and I'm proud to be a fiddleleaf ficus mom of three. My other favorite houseplants I also have, are Pachiras and Good Luck bamboos. They do well everywhere I live. Thanks again for the plant tips. I can't wait to use them!

I was walking my dog yesterday when I found a huge beautiful fiddle leaf fig in front of an apartment building! So tall and luscious, I had to pick it up and bring it home! So now I'm learning how to care for it. The lable says it's $49.99 and I just found it! I'm blessed 😌
