Several things that Hebert brings to the Chargers . He is very young and has alot of energy. His leadership and desire to win is something that has not been seen in a Chargers QB in years. Phillip Rivers had this same energy and he did well for a bit. If the Chargers continue to keep Herbert free from injury there is no telling what he could bring this season !

Nah, great receivers who know how to get open and want to catch the ball. Don't get me wrong, he has great vision but his pocket maneuverability was terrible (veteran skill) and half his throws were higher than Snoop Dog. As a Niners fan I declared myself as a Herbert fan that kid balled out last season and the chargers always fell short on games , now they are finishing games, the chargers are gonna be a treat man.

You can’t deny Herbert is already years ahead of Rivers at the same point in their careers. With that being said, Williams did have a 1k season and a 10td season on separate seasons. I think this season he could have both.

They have a high powered offense that suffers when Tyreke is doubled. Defense has been garbage for a long time. Mahomes still isn’t mature. They talented yeah but after that stretch of one score games last year I saw this coming. Teams are sick of them.
Considering most losses are close with the Chiefs (unless we talking Tampa Bay Super Bowl). It's not like they don't have reason to talk about the 4 turnovers on offense.

Rewatching this prior to the 2nd matchup. It’s clear Herbert will dissect the Chiefs without a pass rush affecting him . If Chris Jones doesn’t play the Chiefs will struggle defensively compared to recent games. On the other hand, the Chiefs should fare better in the self-inflicted turnover department, which is the sole reason they lost the first matchup.

Justin Herbert is so overlooked. He's only in his second year and is easily a top ten quarterback in the NFL. That said... The Chiefs defense is terrible. They've given giant contracts to some of those dudes and they just don't play well together. Their offense hasn't lit anybody up yet this year, so the defense needs to make some stops, and they're just not doing it. They're not winning any Super Bowls with that defense playing the way it is.

He's def not overlooked. If anything I feel he's still heavily unoptimized. Coaching staff still playing him to 'protect' him and not design stuff that he can exploit matchups in key situations. He often has to bail his offense out going 3rd and long and against big pressure fronts. If the offense was truly tailored for him he wouldn't be in those situations too often and he'd be in the convo of getting 3/4 TDs every week.
But Mahomes is the greatest thing ever right? I thought Mahomes was so great he could overcome a bad team. That's what elite quarterbacks doo. Oh wait you NEED a team around you to win. See you dummies it wasn't all Mahomes this whole time.

All i can say is thank you dolphins for passing on Herbert! We would have taken Tua for sure and imagine how far that would have set us back. The guy can’t play to save his life, let alone stay healthy.

Herbert was in a pretty bad position too, the worst o-line in football, no running game and horrible coaching on both sides of the the ball. His number 1 receiver is Allen, yet he’s not a burner or flashy. Mike Williams and Hunter Henry are always inconsistent and injured. Bottom line, we can make excuses for both, but we saw who can really played and who’s gonna be a franchise Qb and who’s gonna most likely going to be a career backup.
