      I am not against hunting your own food and harvesting but I would never get this excited about taking another life. I would have a bit more respect for the animal's soul. In many cultures, there's even a prayer said and they thank the animal for their food - that is extremely commendable. Nothing on the boys though I know they did not grow up with that culture.

    • @thadiuspickle-stick6962
      @thadiuspickle-stick6962 Před 2 lety +6

      @@alfonsoo7568 i understand your point of view and i have respect for your culture, but i think theres a chance you could be mistaken by the reaction. The respect and gratitude for the life harvested is always the top priority. Along with that is a sense of accomplishment for the goal achieved, pride in the discipline it took to get closer and closer to excute a quick humain harvest vs slinging lead. A true hunter will often be overwhelmed with a flood of mixed emotions durring this moment. These guys in particular i know will not pull the trigger unless its something they know will nourish their families. This also happened to be his first bear. Alot more going on here than some may aknowledge.

    I've missed you... but your videos are well worth the wait. Couple of things to mention; when I was a kid (many years ago!) the Dept. of Interior maintained our forests. Summers offered high school and college-aged kids jobs to do things like clear dead-fall and standing burns in Spring and Summer. DOI'd burn the slash in the winter. We could walk through the forests! Fires weren't like today. I live in Colville and we're 2 months into fighting fires.
    Also, you are again correct... Montreal Steak Seasoning is all you need for anything of the red meat persuasion!
    Your video and editing just gets better and better. It gives the feeling of being there and is rich in nature content. Keep it up!!

    Awesome video Samong! Congratulations to Nate and to you for the successful hunt! That binocular system was pretty cool. I tend to use Leica pocket binoculars because they are so lightweight and don't get in the way of my bow shot. One thing I really like is a Safari sling for my rifle vs a conventional sling or slinging the rifle to my pack. It is very fast access and hands free. You might check them out. The other thing that works well for me is spotting scope mounting block on my fore stock. I can clip my rifle into my carbon fiber tripod I use for my spotting scope. Then I don't need to have a bipod for the rifle and get a better gun mount for long range shooting. It allow me to be sitting for a shot and with the adjustability of my tripod I can shoot much more accurately.

    If the lawmakers in Olympia could pull their heads outta their butts, WA would be THE destination in the lower 48 for sportsmen. 3 species of deer, 2 species of elk, so many bear and cougar, you used to be able to get two tags each. Moose, goat and sheep on draw tags. 4 species of Turkey plus all the fishing you can handle. But the regs are so screwed up, it keeps non-resident hunters from wanting to waste their money.
