What colour is the body please? Is it an original Fender colour and does it have an official name?

Hi! This is an original fender made in 2002! Made in Japan
Copy of a famous type from 1963 and the color name is Burgundi Mist!

is it a good idea to round off the blade so it's not Square and flat and clunky?

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good idea, because its place is fixed and with every sanding, it gets shorter and jumps over the fitting point! I only recommend replacing new parts!

@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 I understand what you mean but I don't mean that exactly!
I mean that the new part should have its two blades rolled over because if it's squared off, like it currently is as you've replaced it, surely you'll be able to FEEL
a click or a clunk between the bending up and bending down?
Thank you for your swift reply and I hope you reconsider my question

Yes, this is a dilemma for me too. The support point of the original plate was square and it wore into the opposite plate. The new piece that I had to order was already lying on a sharp surface. I was afraid that it would slip again on the worn surface. But it was good in the end. If it hadn't been good, I would have had to order a new Tremolo one for around 150-250 euros, but I had it for 25 euros.

@@viktorlieszkovszky9683 so wouldn't it be a good idea to round off the two blades so they don't look like the cross-section/illustration in your video…?

Unfortunately, my attempt didn't work, because the tremolo and, contact surfaces with it, the sharp surface are in a fixed position, held by three screws. That's why every sanding, sharpening or rounding takes it out of its size and the strings sheet metal holding the loops moves away, so it can't rest on it anymore and it slips on it! Unfortunately, only the new edge plate helps! At least it did in our case!
