My apologies. At the end of the video I am holding the Mobula 6 but talking about the Air65 Freestyle and Race. 🤷♂
I should have also highlighted the battery connector is BT2.0 and the quad battery lead is turned or 180 degree making the battery connection easier. More ⤵

Nick, let me assure you. Farting around is a valid and accurate description. I fart around too, I like it.
lol. Its moments like those that after recording I have second thoughts and start thinking I might need to script these out or something :)
Excellent suggestion, Nick! Companies should definitely start making ultralight 75 mm whoops now!
Betafpv silently launched a 75mm version as well.
@@NickBurnsFPV oh wow!!!!
@@NickBurnsFPVwhy wouldn’t they send you a copy for review before launch ?
@@MrStoppo31 I don't know why they wouldn't. I suspect its either their focus on competing with the mobula 6 2024 or a supply issue. Only guesses really though
I had reported the pcb shining through on the camera feed (I've seen it in other c03 dvr posted online). They responded it's due to the vias (the little holes on the pcb) letting light in. And you can solve it by putting black tape over the back of the camera pcb
Very interesting, I have not heard of that before. I will give tape a try and see what we get
@@NickBurnsFPV I have this on all my c03 cameras, especially in dappled light under trees. will try the tape method
I have a meteor65 and a 75 and they both have that same problem when the light hits the back of the camera.
Thanks for the fix! Haven't tried it but surely will.
Wow, really? What a joke. You could try Slick 3D shirt paint in black probably better than electrical tape.
Man, i love your reviews Nick! Thank you and bravo!
Thank you so much. Tinywhoop.com have some inbound? And the 75mm edition?
@@NickBurnsFPV yep! We will be the first US retailer for both Air65 (freestyle and race) and the Air75, next week :) huge stock inbound
@@TinyWhoop Sweet! let me know when they land I can post it.
Loooove whoops, habe been back flying my mobula 6 around the house with my son. We put the BT2.0 connecters and some tattu 300mah and man they give the old Mob6 some serious pep :)
Great times with these micro machines.
Hope you and your family are well mate.
Excellent review as always. Thanks Nick!
Great rippin Nick, always fun to watch your flyin. Cool kwads Peace
I like the new lines you are taking outside, subtle freestyle mixed well with your race lines. Fun to watch and great commentary. I just got the Mob6 2024 from Pyrodrone setup and a few packs through it, feels strong for power but not great flight time. Nice work as always.
Fantastic flying and review, Nick!!! 😃
It's interesting how tiny whoops are flying better and better! Kudos, BetaFPV!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Yes, where do the improvements stop. In the low weight area, its hard to envision they can get much lighter without falling apart.
Great video as usual Nick!
Thank you
Awesome video!
Nice! Thanks Nick
Hi Nick, this reminds me when Happymodel had the mobula 6 when we could order in two kv versions. Thanks for the video and information about these quads.
Thanks Nick. Great as always.
Thanks for including the chimney dive ❤
Nice flying .. again. lol🔥
It's been a minute since I watched a Nick Burns review video. It's always a good experience. This camera does offer trippy pcb visuals from time to time. I like the image of this camera, but not the wire that comes soldered to it. I like flying micro drones, and building them. Thanks for being a part of my drone journey.
6:21 Great stuff Nick!👍 There you have it: there’s ‘freestyling’ and there’s ‘fart-styling’ 🤣🤣
Another good review Nick
Thank you
Imagine judging how someone has fun xD i love you flight style
I was watching ash the other videos on this whoop and was just saying where old Nick Burns?! This is his favorite size to fly. Now the video pops up yay
Love your vids
just picked up the air 75 for being able to fly outdoors a lil bit more so i completely agree on the 75mm point. I love my meteor 65 pro but outdoors flying is rough unless wind is basically zero
How are you getting on with it ?
good to see you back in the review chair, Nick! Nice flying as usual. I see on BetaFPV's web site they actually have an Air75 for $94.99 too! So they listened to you and Heads!
lol, they didn't tell me about the 75mm version at all. Surprised it also launched.
@@NickBurnsFPV Maybe you've got a birthday coming up and Mrs. Burns asked them not to let you see it! LoL!
@@jeffmcclain lol maybe so 😄
Nice room tour. 😂 Greetings from germany.
Awesome quad, but this air canopy easily got crack and scratch C03 lens after mild crash.
Interesting. outside? around concrete or rocks? I had a number of crashes without breaking
Nice to see a diamond board for those ultralights or anything running frames set up for them. Crazy weight in the bnf 65mm world. Excited to see the 5in1. When I got my first 65mm, yeah maybe not race edition right away. Love the videos, love the power loops and fancy flying by side fence, new play space?
Wow new micro quad!!
Very interesting nick... Great price point. I'd be curious about the upcoming 5 in 1 should be even lighter. This is a good combo though and would even be a tad lighter with the new Newbeedrone LiteAF frame 👍
You really should make a some sort of lesson on indoor flying for complete beginners. Your skills are so good
I do read this, but I am so unsure of how I would recomend building the indoor fly skill set. The one tip I have come up with is czcams.com/users/shortsPBAo4fW7DDQ
@@NickBurnsFPV I see. Thanks
I would describe your flight style as Aggressive Cruising? That’s pretty much my favorite way to fly as well.
I definitely connect with your statement in a prior video “it feels like I’m flying a pod racer”. I love having the prop guards or props in view too. Which makes going fast around objects a blast.
Flying in your house with that kind of speed definitely takes a lot of skill.
I have experienced that pcb shining through in the right sun amgle on my betafpv75 pro with the CO3 camera also
I have a same with my betafpv75 pro, but I can see that print only when sun is really low just above the horizon. Its really strange, but it doesn't bother me.
Fantastic price on this whoop at $95. Makes it a clear choice over the mobula6 in my opinion
Yes, the price surprised me. I thought it would be more like $130. I hope its not a temporary price or it goes up if popular.
@@NickBurnsFPVuse coupon code for 5% off and it's closer to 90 bucks!
That’s cool prices are receding
It’s IR filter are designed to reflect or block near-infrared wavelengths while passing visible light.
Others have said tape on the back of the camera solves the issue. Something about holes in the pcb allowing light through and causing a reflection. Liquid tape might be a better long term solution if true.
Nick as always nice review. On betafpv there is air75 also only 21g (3g lighter mobula7 with a better camera). Sounds like it could be new best 75 whoop?)
Yes I am not sure on the air75. I haven’t flown but should be good
No stickerrrrrrs 😢 I like the freestyle I think they will sell quite a few I recon. I’d buy one.
I've seen that exact thing on the camera sensor with my c03 camera for m75 pro
the "electronic print" seems to be a C03 issue, i have the same print with a replacement for my meteor 75 pro C03 cam after the first one got disconnect issues.
My Meteor 65 Pro does the same with the circuit board print thing.
I am told tape on the backside of the camera solves the issue. Its something about the holes in the back pcb allowing light through and the reflection is what we are see. liquid tape might be a better long term fix
those marks are the sensor getting knocked loose. That happened to me last winer
There is an Air75 in their store. Pls test it too
Love to see some new options for RTF tinywhoops!! They are so fun to fly lol. How would you say the Air65 compares to the Meteor65 Pro?? Its outdoor flight certainly seemed smooth for a 65mm
the pro isn't as inside friendly due to the larger prop and thrust produced, but it will be more capable of aggressive outside flight but shorter flights overall due to the small battery tray.
Hi Nick
Great reviews, and I will be getting a freestyle….. but (as a noob) I’m a bit confused. Do these have an elrs receiver on them already? If not, how are they controlled?
Thanks
yes, they do have an ELRS receiver on them.
how do u feel about the ELRS rx not being built into the board on the air? do you think with the more space for components not having the elrs rx on the AIO maybe helps reliability? I Know ive had 2 cross f4 AIOs that the ELRS rx both died on them before =T
It could, but to have anything more than a guess or feeling we will have to wait for the 5in1 version to come out. I suspect the 5in1 will be the traditional shape and size. We have seen the small the board gets the harder the reliability also gets, example is the happymodel diamond board.
just ordered the free style, 95 bucks
Does the higher KV give you more umph at the bottom of a power loop? I could see the higher KV giving you more top end speed, but are the motors strong enough at the bottom of a power loop at either KV? I have high ceiling, and enough room for the power loop but even at 18-19g and 0702 motors with high KV it’s not quite enough.
At the same throttle point low kv vs higher kv yes we have more prop speed at nearly all throttle positions. This is part of the flight feel difference, in outright performance its just the top end of the throttle where lower kv vs higher kv is "measurable". If any of that makes sense....sorry hard to describe
The camera print maybe looks like the UV filter pressing against the sensor/lens. These look like interesting additions to the whoop line ups, I’m maybe slightly traumatised by the diamond shape AIO’s and hope these fare better than the HM one!
They are probably all defective. Both of mine look the same.
Others have said tape on the back of the camera solves the issue. Something about holes in the pcb allowing light through and causing a reflection. Liquid tape might be a better long term solution if true.
Just purchased air freestyle. In your opinion, should I get an ELRS module, or an Radio master pocket? I mostly fly micros. And both are similar in price.
Well, it really depends if you really like your current radio or if its just kinda iffy on the current radio. If you really like it, pop a module in it, but if your iffy a new radio might be an opportunity to find a radio you really like. As far as ELRS function there is almost no difference between a module and a radio with elrs built in.
Great video. Looks like a ton of fun for sub $100.❤ question about reny screw weoght vs metal. What is the weight difference? I am struggling to get answers on google.
I will have to weight them when I get home. Can you please email me a reminder at nickburnsrc@gmail.com youtube comments and follow up questions are rough
Great review👍 im new to fpv, how would you compare this to the Mobeetle6 whoop? i literally just purchased before watching this review 😅. Is it worth cancelling my order for Air65 ?
I think it depends on the price paid and how quickly you might receive either of them. The Air65 has better characteristics, but as a newer person to fpv being able to tell or notice the difference will be unlikely. Also if you plan to fly outside mostly I would say yes but get the 75mm version.
This will be my first drone,
I read there is no ELRS receiver, should I buy it separately? (and how to mount it?)
I also need goggles and the radio transmitter, will the VR02 + lite radio 2 from BETAFPV be enough or should I buy the VR03 + lite radio 3? Thanks 🙏🏻
I don’t recommend the light radios. They have an issue with gimbal wires coming loose. These comes with elrs receiver
I have the same purple glare that looks to be the PCB behind the camera, strange 11:50
Could you make a video on your ultimate 75mm whoop build
Nick, I know you are a 75 or 85 size tinywhoop guy. Just curious if they have sent you an air75 for review yet. Thanks for your great reviews!
Not yet. But hopefully soon.
when are we getting down to the milligram scale?
I ordered the air 75. I thought it was very interesting that they use a $45 4-in-one AIO with an external Express LRS receiver soldered on.
Been having bad experiences with micros and whoops in 2024. I guess we'll see what happens!
What whoops and issues have you been experiencing?
any recommendations for how to get better at flying indoors?
I don't think I have any unique knowledge or special experience to get good at flying indoor. I do think finding rates that suit us are very important, some use low rates as they feel the extra precision, others like myself use higher rates to not have to move the sticks as far to quickly navigate indoor. The next thing to work on after precision is making sure we can execute coordinated turns both left and right. Coordinated meaning enough yaw, roll and throttle to keep a nice steady lines through the turn.
Does it come with the elrs receiver installed or need to purchase extra?
Rx is included
what goggle antenna and VRX are you using for this video?
hdzero goggles, immersionrc rapidfire module with axii antenna
75mm for the win!
And they launched an Air75 as well. Didn't know, silent launch
@@NickBurnsFPV94,99$
@@NickBurnsFPV I just checked it out, loving where they're going with this series. What is your opinion on the Lava batteries? Knowing what we know about their batteries.
@@xeromool the lava batteries are likely from the same manufacturer as all flat cell batteries. They perform just like the other flat cell batteries.
I wish you could (and be willing) to swap those motors for happymodel ones. Kv for Kv. And compare. Not sure about performance, but i am convinced they would provide longer flight time
I am pretty sure as well. happymodel has some unicorn dust in their micro motors, sound bad but perform well. odd ducks those motors.
@@NickBurnsFPV exactly. I will take that as "i might give it a try" 😊
I started out buying the BETAFPV Cetus Lite FPV Drone Kit, when I'm ready to upgrade to the Air65, would it work with the BETAFPV Cetus Lite FPV Drone goggles and controllers? (money is always an issue, LOL)
The issue with the cetus lite radio is we are dependant on betafpv to provide the elrs firmware and any need to upgrade. The googles will certainly work with any other analog based quad.
Has anyone tried the BetaFPV tune on a Mob6 2024???
So have you noticed issues with your CO3 camera? I noticed especially 6:20 for the next 10-15secs you can really see that faint purpleish color? Is that burn in?? I have the same issue on mine except its a lot worse and the camera quality is terrible. EDIT: see others talking about this issue ok gotcha
I didn't notice it in the full flight videos, but I talk about this issue later in the video. Here in the comments others have said tape on the back of the camera solves the issue or liquid tape for a longer solution.
How about BetaFPV Meteor 75 Pro? I want to buy a whoop for flying exercise.
Not sure what the question about it is? the larger the quad the less indoor friendly it is, and how capable it is outside
This is peek screws, not reny. They are bit more fragile and snap more easily of course. Also tapered flat head screws live longer than pan head ones
Nice product, but I completely agree with you. It would be great to see a new 75mm whoop.
but there is a 75mm version on the BETAFPV website😅
@@mazepa2341 You are right, I completely missed it. Thank you very much for pointing that out!
They seemingly silently launched the Air75 as well. I don't know why no mention of that.
@@NickBurnsFPV Hope to see your review also for the 75mm one.
@@millissimo_ I hope so as well 😁
I’d like too know the weight difference between the future 5in1 vs 4in1 with external rx soldered too it because looks like the 5 in1 board appears too be a complete diamond shape 💠 I saw on the website
I don't have one to weigh
@@NickBurnsFPVif you can weigh the flight controller and external rx you have then I can compare with the integrated version weight it’s posted on the website
Never mind those motors are soldered lol 😮
@@seanconnolly2179 I show the AIO weight in the video
I'm pretty sure what you're seeing in that camera you're talking about at the end of the video is the reflection of the sensor on the ir filter , most likely a crash moved that ir filter out of place just enough that when the light hits the sensor just right you get that purple relection. but thats just my theory I suppose
Others have said tape on the back of the camera solves the issue. Something about holes in the pcb allowing light through and causing a reflection. Does that hold up? I haven't tried it yet. Liquid tape might be a better long term solution if true.
@@NickBurnsFPV that's possible I suppose but based on when it shows up in the video it looks more like sunlight is getting in there and reflecting, and the purple tells me it's probably due to the ir filter cause I've broken the ir filters on caddx ants and polar nanos and in both cases everything green turns purple like that reflection looks like, then also I've seen the inside of a camera sensor before though I can't remember the circumstances but it looked like that. Try the tape/liquid tape fix and see what happens, if it goes away then my theory is likely wrong but if it stays a issue then I think I'm right.
@@Skylionfpv I will have to test the tape theory/solution out. Can't be really sure until I have tried it myself.
Very nice. I would like to see a light weight with 35mm props instead of 31mm.
maybe they will come out with that version. They silently launched the 75mm version
are u flying analog with hdzero goggles ?
yes, with a module on the side for analog
6:50 wait a second... Where are the yaw watch outs?
Yea, I didn't get that on my dives. In any wind conditions.
You think this FC will fit into their larger Pro frames?
Yes
Does the Betafpv Air65 have altitude hold?
no
I think you damaged IR filter in your cam.
also am I wrong, or is 94.99 a really good price for a product like this? Building something like this would be around $130 am I correct? Someone please tell me if I am wrong. also the 400mw VTX is just a nice touch
yes, the price is well below what I expected. The mobula 6 2024 is selling for $114.99
Try changing that lens out. It looks like that 'chroma' filter. It looks like a rainbow sort of it's probably loose and lifted. Caddx Ant sometimes do this.
Others have said tape on the back of the camera solves the issue. Something about holes in the pcb allowing light through and causing a reflection. Liquid tape might be a better long term solution if true.
@@NickBurnsFPV That's good to know. I usually fly Ants. This Air65 is very tempting. Thanks for posting as always.
How do you feel about it in comparison to meteor 65 pro? How are they different from each other?
The meteor 65 pro will be more suited for most outside due to the larger prop producing more thrust, outside it will fly better but not as long as the air65.
@@NickBurnsFPV so will air 65 be better inside?
@@sviatoslavhulko4758 yes
Thge difference are the motors, the props and the PID, as far as i know.
Itll b good to test other props. Maybe if a 35mm will fit?
35mm won't fit. 35mm requires a different frame and to have that frame be 65mm motor to motor requires a different sized flight controller as well.
@@NickBurnsFPV question. Did u like flying this or the meteor65?
@@jandomingo9806 this, lighter more agile. you might be referencing the meteor65 pro, which I like but the efficiency isn't there with the small battery tray only holding ~300mah batteries. I would rather fly 75mm at that point.
How would these sell out like hotcakes if there’s a chip shortage? 16:03

Hey Nick, bit of a random one - I'm looking for a 2s ripper and you reviewed a whole bunch, anything you'd lean towards in 2024 the most? Looking for an after work backyard little ripper, HDZ or Analog
There is one open prop coming shortly that might be a candidate, but I don't have it yet. But most of the 2s quads we have seen over the last year have been cinewhoops and 2inch prop. Of that group I think the one most fun to fly is the flywoo flylens85, but the camera is upfront and exposed.
@@NickBurnsFPV Nice, I might hold off then. 2s 2 inchers are right up my alley
There is an Air 75
Not sure why you would buy the freestyle version. Everyone is going higher kv on freestyle whoops now days. 27k even seems low
I suspect there is a large population of those in FPV not integrated tightly into the online fpv space. I hear from them occasionally in the comments but more often in private messages....they want flight time per battery, rather than buying more batteries.
The aio is the only thing that is slightly interesting.
Ive had the same camera issue on both c03's i've tried.
Also cannot recommend these canopies at all.
Good video just slightly annoyed with betafpv products.
I have been recommended to put tape on the back of the camera to solve that. What issues have you had with the canopy
They tend to break easily right under the camera. Ah I see camera fix comment and will have to try. Even with minor issues this quad is a needed addition to the market and for $95 I shouldn't complain.
