Most of the DLC quests are worth doing(over and over again) because they give stat increasing items. I wish all the quests that give unique items would give you balms, incenses, macca, etc. once you got that item.

I really hope hope this game gets future DLC. I would to fight (and recruit) stuff from other games like the cast from DDS1+2, Nemissa/Ringo from Soul Hackers1+2, etc. Also adding new demons, places to explore, items to get, etc. would be nice.

Honestly, the Mitama DLC are straight up unnecessary (barring the Saki Mitama for Wealth if you want to minmax your demons) because Navigator Spots are respawnable very easily, including Mitama and Level/Stat-increasing items. I'd recommend the two demon DLCs just for a more complete compendium: Sakuya is OP (maybe too OP compared to the other healers) and Dagda synergizes well with Danu for a pretty good Magatsuhi skill.
ALl I'll say is that if you play on PC: just wait until modders make them all free. That should happen, eventually...

You probably did not know about Gospels? By level 80 I had more than twenty. Would recommend to new players to just not use Gospels until the last leg of the game.
Sadly, one becomes quite overpowered for anything except super bosses when leveling from 80 to 99.

@@classicalthrasheri know about gospels which is why I got the DLC. I assumed the game actually had tough monsters to farm instead of making instead of making you buy DLC. Back then, people stated Cleopatra was Pay to Win-now that is similarly attributed to Konohana Sakuya. I disagree either is pay to win, but it is definitely a more "all-purpose" demon than Dagda.
It is the most powerful demon in the game because it maximizes turn economy by having a Super Luster Candy/above health healing (with Bowl of Hygeia)/free SP regenerating Magatsuhi skill with her father, Oyamatsumi. Since he does not need the be in the party, it is really the "best" Magatsuhi skill in Vengeance, as it will help you keep your stats maximized during boss battles without spending too many-if any-resources. Her usefulness is better appreciated when the game gets very hard or during long battles. I always felt overconfident having her, and she was the only way I could have beaten the normal Masakado on Hard on a first game run, without reliance on extreme tactics. She is very good, and for people who ask me which is the better DLC amongst the two, I would definitely recommend Sakuya instead of Dagda.
I love Apocalypse and had to get Dagda anyway. One of the best physical demons with most resistances covered. Powerful, and one of the few difficult battles at that level. Would definitely recommend getting him-it is just that Sakuya will make you appreciate her more for what she can do sustaining the party near infinitely.
Since I may not be into Godborn (not sure yet), the Mitama DLCs are a pass for *me,* as I deem them frequent enough in game that you will have all your crystals/gospels/grimoires/macca needs met via normal gameplay. Only some of the super bosses require more farming, but I deem these DLCs as time savers only, and using them all the time would make the game way too easy, unless the one and only aim is to have 999 stats on everything.
So in the end, IMHO Sakuya, Dagda are recommended DLC to buy-Sakuya is quite the stress reliever, and though she feels quite overpowered, you need to learn how to maximize her strengths and few weaknesses, so she is not an "I win" button (almost, but not quite there.) Both have voice acting, and excellent animations. Their battles have their own background music. I felt I got my money's worth on both demons.
Mitama DLCs are not for me, and I also did not buy them on the original SMTV game. Odaiba in Minato has tons of them if you need grimoires or more glory crystals. The money Mitamas yield less Macca, but they are plenty, and it seems certain navigators (not sure, my hunch) keep these mitama fights running in long chain of battles.
Buy Sakuya, Dagda, and only buy Mitama DLCs if you really need to break the game for faster runs or an specific purpose. "Normal" players do not need them, IMHO.

    @ZeroillusionX Před měsícem

I'm gonna be honest, I don't think you're giving an accurate representation of the value of the dlc, one thing that you said "as if getting money in this game was ever a problem" this one sentence just tells me that you only play a couple, or maybe 1 playthrough of the game, and that's fair, there's nothing wrong with that, dagda is a lot of things, and while his quest is not as bad as konohana sayuka in terms of how forgettable it is, it is still a bad quest, and the fight itself is not close to being hard, you can be severely underlevel and he will fall pretty easily, the only real problem is his unique move that can instakill, but that's just rng and he doesn't even spam it, then have resist to physical or null it and he does nothing, dagda as a demon is extremely forgettable and he doesn't do anything special, because in contrast to what you say, that he didn't feel like he was an upgraded version of another demon that did similar things, that's the issue, he does something somewhat unique, but at the same time, that unique thing of his doesn't really have any significant use in boss battles, he may inflict sleep, which is fine, and instakill isn't unique, because matador, abaddon, moth all to that same thing, and 2 of them are available much much earlier, so his niche is not even unique either, and as an attacker, well, he was nice resistances, but zeus those the same thing and better, yoshitsune is better, odin is better, 3 physical attackers that do the same as dagda and better.
Now, none of the dlc really adds any value to a first playthrough, and if you as a consumer plan on just playing a single playthrough and then maybe one in godborn, then none of the dlc has real value, the dlc only have value until you decide you want to grind and play stuff like hard mode godborn, or min max your demons, your sets, your essences and have several strats to deal with challenge mode lvl 999, then the dlc has value, but which one? if we are completely and utterly honest, there's only 1 dlc that really has value, and thats the mitama dlc, the money one specifically, that's because using that cuts your grind for money from 200+ hours to maybe 10 or 20 hours or grind, yeah, it is that significant, but is it needed? not really, if anything it just cuts the grind, because you always need money, and you never have enough.
For konohana, she's the best healer buffer in the game, by a humungous margin, no argument, you can still use other healers, if you want for very very specific scenarios, but konohana would still do the same, and she's just insanely better at everything, is a big boost and she's fun as hell to play, the mitamas dlc, the glory and exp ones are trash, and they are a massive scam, don't even consider buying those, the dagda dlc, being honest, he has no value, and he doesn't make things easier, nor does he make for a fun demon to use, his fight is also easy, but that's besides the point, his real value comes from not him, but from having danu and him on the party, because their unique omagatoki skill allows you to recover your press turns, which is honestly kinda busted, but at the end of the day is not needed since strategize and paraselene blur are in the base game, so it's kind of an overkill.
    TLDR
konohana dlc best healer and super fun to use, worth buying for that alone
dadga, dogshit demon, only worth using for its unique omagatoki skill, but worthless otherwise
mitama dlc, the glory and exp ones are a scam, only the money one is worth anything, and only if you plan on grinding for godborn and challenge mode lvl 999, do not buy otherwise.
