My late husband stefan absolutely loved this song. It was our love song. Stefan was gay and I am bi. A real love story. He gave me a beautiful daughter Samantha who I Want her to know this song and our history behind it. Clive you are a gift.
Any Trouble were the soundtrack to my years at uni in the early 80's and I really loved the band even though I seemed to be the only one to know who they were. Oh Clive ! Well done fella ! This is beautiful !
Clive this takes me straight back to 1983 when I think this almost made the top 40. I remember it being played on Radio 1 a few times that year, in the summer of '83 A brilliant AOR song, a perfect radio record, it should be re-released . I do open mic acoustic nights and I really want to work this into my set one day!
this song resonates so deeply to me. it was a treasured song for the wee early hours of a phenomenally unique nightclub in NYC called The Saint which operated from 1980 - 1988. it's so nice to hear Clive sing it in this recent and acoustic style. blessings to all... :)
The Saint is where I first knew of this song. It took me years of searching to find it back in the Napster days. I found someone in San Diego that had a copy. I emailed Clive years ago and he was nice enough to reply. Great song, great musician and vocalist.

Any Trouble was one of the best bands around and Clive's songs are irreplaceable. His voice is still as great as ever. I wish he would tour the US. Thanks so much for posting.
I've seen Clive many, many times (40-50). We're from adjacent towns. Followed him since Any Trouble "Girls are always right". In live gigs he often references CCs vocal on this, but he does himself a dis-service. He sings this song better than Christine. I think this song has always suffered from poor production, the Any Trouble version especially. This video is probably the best version available. S'wonderful.
