    Had almost the same problem, but with heater shutting down completely 10 seconds after diesel pump starting. Rewired from my Aux Battery with heavier gauge wire and no more problems.

    I had so much grief after I changed my controller on my 3 kilowatt heater. I tried many things, took it apart many times to clean, finally I had the right minimum and maximum pump and fan speed. now it works beautifully. My real problem had been too rich fuel to air mixture

    I'm having a problem with my heater after 4 years of it running fine. I just switched the controler it came with that just had a knob to turn it up and down and a on and off button to the controller you have and now after a year it's blowing alot of smoke and shuts down. I cleaned it out and started it again it worked 1 day and did the same thing again. 😊

    I just reconnected mine, not used since early June....
    There is no display! Looks totally dead. Fuse OK, electric is getting from battery to the ring connectors that attach to the back of the heater.
    Is my control panel kaput?

      Virtually no difference in the controller. The heater is also nearly identical. Main difference is the speed the pump send fuel into the heater.

    • @StephenPeters
      @StephenPeters Před rokem

      @@securityguardcommand9792 main difference is the amount of fuel per pulse, not the pump speed.

    • @securityguardcommand9792
      @securityguardcommand9792 Před rokem

      @@StephenPeters it is the speed. The pulses are measured in hertz. How many pulses per second. Which translates into amount of fuel.

  • @MIck-M
    @MIck-M Před 2 lety +3

    I just fixed my friend's one of these which had identical problems with no apparent reason. Where the wire harness exits the heater can become pinched where it bends out causing various wires to lose connection for the odd microsecond here and there. This shuts it down instantly and eventually shows an error for whichever wire\s that were 'pinched'. I simply pushed the harness back a bit into the heater a bit and made the wiring less stressed and all has been well. I discovered it while wiggling all the electrical looms while it was running until I found the dodgey bit.

    Might be worth trying a new screen/atomizer and getting a little air out of the fuel line? But yeah, something is telling it to give up. :(

    Hi. Do you (or anyody) know what Hertz means relating to the heater as its a measurement of frequency, frequency of what I wonder?

    • @BoCoMo
      @BoCoMo Před 2 lety

      Pump frequency, the higher the number, the more fuel delivered.

    • @rangeofhills
      @rangeofhills Před 2 lety

      Simple, its pump pulses of .02 of a spit of fuel per minute

    • @adycharl
      @adycharl Před rokem

      1 Hz equals one second so a setting of 3 Hz is 3 pumps per second. The dosing is about .022ml per pulse

    those are not the default settings for a 2kw heater as Mr Mcluckie showed when he tested his lavanor pro 2kw heater it should be 0.9Hz to 1.0 Hz low and 3.0Hz to 3.1 Hz high, Ive done exactly what you have been doing with my 2kw heater and for changing the fan speed and high setting it produced lots of black smoke and overheated the pump and combustion chamber which hit 137 degrees C.
    you can read the case temperature on the newer lcd remote controls.it even produced 33 parts per million carbon monoxide from the glow plug breather hole which was dected in my living room. if you dont have a digital read out on your carbon monoxide alarm it will not alarm untiul it reaches 50 parts per million which is the British saftey standard time to leave the area.
    But 33 parts per milliuon will just kill you more slowley over a longer pewriod of time say 20 hours. the case temperature shouldnt get much hotter than 117 degrees C which redflects on its leaner burn settings than the 5kw model.
    once I returned to the 2kw default settings of 0.9 low and 3.1 high there have been no issues, this is why you are consuming as much fuel as a 5kw heater you are probably overfueling it wasting unburnt fuel out of the exhaust pipe and overheating the heater, maybe this is even damaging the motherboard if indeed you are running a 2kw heater?

      It's the watts/power for the glow plug.

    • @mklopfer
      @mklopfer Před 2 lety +3

      This is the "selection of the ignition plug power," the manual indicates: 1=35W, 2=40W, 3=45W, 4=80W, 5=85W, 6=90W, with SN-5 is the noted default.
      The manual also indicates that SN-1 is for 1 magnet on the fan or "different polarity of magnets or one magnet" and SN-2 is for two magnets "with the same polarity"

    Wtf hz settings your use ????
    1.2hz at low.
    3.6hz at topp.
    Fan speed
    Low 2200
    High 4200-4600
    Here you have the best settings you can have !!!!!
    Thos settings you use clogs up burner inside fully !!!!
    Take it up and clean it whit braik cleaner !!!!
    Use my settings and get filter down under fuel tank. And hard plast string from filter to burner.
    You have foult code sens it stopping.
    Open up and clean and give it diesel at normal like i told you here.
    You get it burning and saves both fuel and watt.
    Age dosent matter.
    Glowplug is fine sens you gat pass the first yellow light!!!!
    Fuel get air ore cant come true to burner. Thats ur problem.
    Best of luck.
    And all thats use hz settings over this gets clogged up.
    .easy to open and clean.
    Dont need to take out glowplug.
    Can take out after you spelt it in 2 parts for cleaning.
    Alsow can use boiling water to put in and brush it clean.
    Put together. Sheck nett around glowplug and see not clogs hangs at the nett ore glowplug. But that you see when splitted in 2.
    It is easy. And only 4 and 4 bolt.
    You be amazed after done this and see ur getting same heat and lower use of both fuel and watt

    Filter ALWAYS filters from outside to core.... the bowl ALWAYS catches the crud going thru..... NEVER into the center of the filter screen flowing to the bowl
