Giannis: forcing players to crowd the paint leaving shooters open, and being a tower equal to Gobert when defending the paint, plus A+ perimeter defence. Middleton: being able to create shots when everything else is taken away, and knocking them down BIG-TIME. Jrue: being a solid point guard with defensive skills and scoring ability that would make EVERY coach jealous. PJ Tucker: for having the heart of a true warrior and making Durant having to work like a mule to get his shots, plus his SOLID corner 3. Lopez: taking it inside hard-time when teams try to play small, and forcing big guys out of the paint because of his solid shooting ability. And the other guys Conaughton, Forbes for their shooting and tough playoff performance giving the main guys time to breathe.
Every one of these guys is a crucial cog that without, would make the championship more unlikely.
I said at the start of the season we needed him to get his recognition now that he’s on a contender and he got it!

i honestly can’t remember seeing a defender his size be that good and not having some sort of physical advantage. most guys that are heralded as super elite defenders are either super strong, super lengthy, super athletic, etc. Jrue’s defensive IQ is the best ive ever seen. his ability to fight over picks and stay in front of his guys is insane. his defense is so good i enjoy watching it over 90% of nba players on offense.
He is crazy athetic. It's not only about having 46 inch vertical. His laterall quickness, balance, coordination, speed and ability to get up are elite. On top of that he is probably not just physically strongest guard in the NBA but has up there high with all the perimeter players, forwards included. He is insane at guarding not only his position players but forwards as well. Ofc, all the physical traits are useless with no IQ, Jrue has both.
He is super strong, lanky, and athletic....
@@pdut23 in comparison to defenders like giannis, kawhi, ben simmons, tony allen, andrei kirilenko, artest, andre roberson, lebron, who are physical freaks in one or more ways. holiday doesn’t fit any of those bills. he’s built well but you’re not looking at his defense and saying wow his wingspan helps him so much in the passing lanes or his hands are so big he can accurately swipe at the ball and take it away like kawhi, or he’s too strong to get by, or he’s so fast and athletic that he can recover bad chase down block someone so easily like lebron or giannis. Jrue Holidays defense is all about his IQ, and skill level on that end not reliance on physical tools.

@@IONTENNISTHAT the rules make offense much more applicable and powerful compared to defence. No one closes down top 5 nba scorers but makes everything intensely more difficult with no room for error. KD said he's super elite as defenders go from his brains to his quick and strong he is.
Jrue should be defensive player of the year, not rudy. Rudy is just lucky he’s tall and long, but without those I doubt he’d be a defensive player.

Why bucks are a good team? 3 stars Gianis middleton holiday are 2-way players (offense & defense) and all of them have good field goal pct, 2 of them (middleton n jrue) have good 3pt percentage.

Jrue is overrated as a defender. I saw him in this year's playoffs get cooked up in the Crock-Pot by Durant, Kyrie, Booker, Trae Young and others. Even with the Secret Service's protection he has no shot of guarding Trae Young.
