Absolutely magnificent. The sound is unforgettable. As a boy, living near the end of the runway at Hooton Park, I had these whizzing overhead daily. And nightly, the black painted Night Fighters would be at it.
We had Lancasters and Wellingtons and all sorts of aircraft came there, especially for the annual Air Show but the Meteors were just a daily feature of life. A lovely jet.
Their vertical (dead vertical) rate of climb had to be seen to be believed.

Thank You. The Aviation Museum is a fantastic day out. They are having a big flying day in a month or two. I recommend everyone needs to put this on their bucket list.
