- We introduce the quotient topology as a way of formalising the idea that we can "glue up" a polygon by identifying edges, or "crush" parts of a topological space down to points. For notes, see here: www.homepages.ucl.ac.uk/~ucahj...
You're doing the math community a great favour.
Respect from India.
sound is sooo low
Once again. Professors should be held accountable for their poor effort in explaining things. You sir are doing a great job. Thank you.
Great series of videos!
Excellent explanation!
Great explanation this just makes sense.
Very good teaching. From India
very clear. thanks.
would the quarter-disk example at 15:10 still be invalid if the edges were open at outer tips?
in that case, is the bottom right vertex the only closed subset of the preimage, hence the only piece of the preimage that invalidates continuity?
sound quality should be improved
Exactly! Sound quality is too low... Can't hear anything without maximizing the volume
I can't hear anything :(
First of all you write the matter clearly
What you are saying and writing. Nobody can understand. Your writing is like the doctors prescribing medicines.
