How long will you have to wear the braces for? I have a pronounced overbite and 2 wisdom teeth that are causing my other teeth to crowd, I also have a lot of issues with my jaw locking currently. I went to the orthodontist and they quoted around £5k for braces and said I’d need them for around 2 years. I’m a little older than you- 30 in May 😬- and as I would only be able to have Invisalign on my top set I’m very reluctant to go ahead. It’s a lot of money and commitment! Also not a look I’m sure I can pull off. Really wishing 14 year old me hadn’t thrown a wobbly when offered braces on the NHS because I didn’t want to be a ‘4 eyed brace face’ 🙈 You do make them look great though. I wouldn’t have been surprised if you’d gone for colourful, quirky ones. Thanks for sharing, hopefully they give you the result you want 😌
Around 12 - 18 months! I also wish I had had them as a child but actually, I think investing in your teeth is really important! I say go for it :) Once people get over the shock of seeing you for the first time, they get forgotten! I think I will go for pale pink next time :)

Ooh no I wouldn’t be excited getting braces fitted, only when they came off :) A friend had them years ago she lived off soup for months:)

How did your students react to your braces?
Oh gosh the longest two years of my life, they would break, snap the amount of maintenance was more than a car..
Realllly?! Did you eat hard things to make them snap or did it just happen randomly?
