    In order to remove ALL the hydro fluid you need to release the cap on the side of each hydro pump, drain and refill system with 5 quarts, remove top caps to bleed the system, done!!. I own a repair shop and have done many grandstands. This is a simple reservoir fluid change which can work if don't mine mixing old with new.

    Good stuff. I love videos like this. Looks like someone didn't want that filter to come off. I saw someone on here use a filter wrench to tighten a filter and I was like, what are you doin' man... that kind of stuff drives me crazy. But anyway, love your vids man. Keep up the good work. Have a Merry and Blessed Christmas!

  • @walterwaagner6914
    @walterwaagner6914 Před 2 lety +1

    Your comment about the filter "size" (10 micron vs 25 micron) is incorrect about a 25 micron being more restrictive than a 10 micron. A 10 micron is more restrictive in that it will trap particles larger than 10 microns whereas a 25 micron will only trap particles larger than 25 microns. The 10 micron filter will restrict fluid flow more so than the 25 micron filter.

    Try compressed air for that grip. Jam the tip at the open end, and push it on with your other hand. The air should ouff it up enough so you can get it on. We used to do it with handle grips on our sleds.

    Great video on this mower. Wish I could find one like that to have as a project. Here’s a good question for you. With the Vantage not being produced anymore and the Staris in its place, which one is better?? Also you have any insight on the new commercial 30 with the Kohler?
    Have a great Christmas!!!

    • @CountrysideStrong

    Hey buddy i may or may not have bought an old vride today. It has the filter under the bottom between the wheels if i use the same method as you in this video will it introduce too much air into the hydro lines or do i just work it slow like you did will it work?

    • @CountrysideStrong
      @CountrysideStrong  Před 4 lety

      Your are exactly right. You can just work the air out. Usually easiest to jack the back wheels up and do it that way. Love your style buddy, look forward to the video on it..... You know, IF you bought it 🤣😉👍

    Soak those hand grips in as hot of water as you can stand for about 10-15 minutes then give it a try. If you can’t get the one off to soak, wet a towel then nuke it in the microwave for a minute-wrap it around the handle, cover with a plastic bag, wait 10 minutes and push it on.
