Great video! I have a 2005 Turf tracer. If I understand it correctly the oil runs from the reservoir to the filter to the wheel motors? If that is the case can you disconnect the oil return to the reservoir while filling the reservoir with new oil? Thanks!
Very good video man. I've got the same problem and I haven't found any videos that have any advice or help with wat todo when water gets into ur hydro or the proper way to fix the problem. 2 thumbs up 👍
I dont think so, the fluid runs from the tank to the filter and then into the pumps so you couldnt flush the Hydros pumps out that way, it would just run out the filter
Yes, it ended up clearing up after running about 15 quarts or so through it. The first 10 quarts I ran through I used 10w-30 motor oil just because it was cheaper. My understanding is that the synthetic Hydro oil is mainly used because it needs to handle high temperatures, but when you are just flushing the oil through the system it doesnt get very hot so I figured it would be ok to run a lighter weight through it. Then the last 5 quarts I ran the reccomended oil through the system just to make sure I had the right oil in there. The oil is as clear as it should be and hydros seem to be in good shape.
Good video, very creative and helpful.
Thank you so much the video. I had the same problem now it's all good. :)
Glad I could help!
Good stuff Brotha !

thanks for the video
Could you do the same thing by just adding oil to the fill tank while the filter is off while it’s running

Can you run motor oil in place of the Xmarks hydro oil? Does it mess the pumps and wheel motors up?
My exmark viking hydro calls for Mobil 1 full synthetic 15 w 50 weight. Mobil1 is probably the supplier to hydrogear and others.
It would by too thin. Not viscous enough on top of other things.
So did it work I’m dealing with a similar situation

Did you fill the filter before replacing it?
I usually do just for good measure.
