The best part of Radd and why I love this drama is that the couple shares everything with each other and communicates. This is the highlight of the show. We hardly see such couples in our dramas and this is how it should be.

This episode of Jaafa was scary. Andaleeb and Moiz could have done anything. Anxiety, depression, suicide attempts are common amongst youngsters these days due to failed relationships. The more the parents become stubborn, the more the kids rebel. Andaleeb’s parents are deceiving Dr. Numair and his family too. They think Andaleeb would not tell the truth to Numair and his mother after marriage or they wouldn’t see that she is not happy? Moreover, Zara could have played a better role as a cousin since she knew the truth and was a close friend of Dr. Numair . Why couldn’t she tell him the truth when he already was reluctant to get married? Andaleeb’s parents should have been open and truthful and should have sorted things out with both Moiz’s mother and Dr. Numair, rather than lying.

Yes 💯 with you. moreover Numair’s not suspecting anything when they were shoving their daughter onto them, when girl is even crying and saying she doesn’t wanna marry? I hated her parent’s character, so insensible & cruel. So disappointing.

    • @shiningglory5414
      @shiningglory5414 Před 13 dny +4

This whole situation is an example of horrible miscommunication
Even if one person could have acted sensible and communicated things, clearly, then you won’t have this problem
Zara cud tell numair about moiz
Andaleeb cud reveal about her love for moiz
I am damn sure that if nomadic gets to know this, he will not agree to marry and problem solved
But at the end of the day, it’s a drama and you cannot expect reality

I was thinking the same. As a younger parent myself i was thinking i would never do what they are doing to their daughter in the situation. Why are they getting her married off at all. Its crazy and scary to say the least. Also why is Numair marrying someone he can clearly see doesnt wanna get married to him. Its beyond me!

The important thing for me is that in Islam I am told , one shouldn’t force anyone be it male or female to marry against their wishes, and they are violating this main principle! I concur that this type of pressure would lead the young people to take irrational and often tragic actions!Ive seen this first hand….. These dramas send such awful messages!

Regarding Jafaa - I feel Numair's styling is on point. He is shown to be someone who is drowned in his profession and also very emotionally involved in his work (this from how he decides to not have children because he sees children with cancer everyday). Being a paediatric oncologist doesn't mean he has to look fashionable and stylish. He is disinterested in this marriage so he dresses accordingly. He does dress well at hospital where all his interests lie. And I think Usman is doing a fantastic job portraying Dr Numair's attitude to perfection.

JAFAA: The writing is extremely shallow and surface level. NONE of the characters have a personality, depth or nuance. Andaleeb is not even comparable to Umeed. Umeed had a personality WITHOUT Farjaad, she was a fully formed character. We knew what she liked and disliked, her hobbies, WHY she wants the things she wants, WHY she is the way she is and more. Heck even Chachi in Fairytale had a proper backstory and personality than the four leads in Jafaa, and it shows in performance as well because there is a limit to what the actors do when the writing has ZERO nuance, and the performances still are fine because the four actors are seasoned. It still lacks nuances though.
Who is Andaleeb beyond her relationship with Moiz? Who is Zara beyond her profession and her marriage to Hassan? Who is Numair if you keep aside his reluctance to marriage? Hassan has a backstory ONLY because his entire arc is based on his trauma, but we still don't know ANYTHING about him in general, what even is his job? Is it just ✨business✨? These are just characters written as plot devices just to react to these situations, none of them seem like real people. There are no scenes where we get to know who they are other than scenes where they're merely used as a plot device. We know nothing about them nor there is an effort to make us care for them (not saying we don't, we do but not because the writing is good). Extremely superficial writing.
At least Zara and Numair are doing all things 'seemingly' right but when you write a character like Andaleeb who you know a majority conservative audience will dislike because of her stubbornness and desire for autonomy, when you write a character that is MEANT to be villainised, that makes it worse and is an injustice to the actor as well because there is no scope for exploration, and exploration-nuance is how you make a seemingly unlikable character likable. It also doesn't seem like the director has put in much work into improving the lack of depth in the writing part, which is how a lot of average script gets saved. Fancy locations aren't everything.

I don’t do clinic any more. My colleagues come in shorts even. Numair’s problem is “weight gain”. His walk is even lazy due to these extra kilos. He’s a little awkward, so focused on his work, consumed by it … never thought before about getting married and so on …. If he was styled as a suave doctor, I wouldn’t have found him believable! It’s a drama, not a soap where everyone should look and dress great ….

Radd: I'm relieved that Eman has moved on from Zain. Initially, I was worried that discovering Jameel's involvement in ending her marriage might rekindle her feelings for Zain. Although she seemed hesitant at first, it's clear now that she's fully committed to Salaar, which is good to see.
However, I found it unsettling when Salaar stood by and watched as Zain gently stroked Eman's hair. I wished he would intervene, but it seems his insecurities are still lingering.
Talking about what's next for the trio, I believe Zain will agree to marry Salaar's sister and then proceed to torment and make Emaan's life miserable. That's about it.

Parents will only see it as validation to impose their will on their children's marriages. Marriage isn't a cure-all solution, and it's crucial for parents to grasp this reality!!

In Jafaa, while thinking of their daughter's future and sukoon parents somehow have become greedy or mean because they are just seeing that numair is well established and he will make their daughter happy .. and by doing so their daughter will be safe from the struggles but they completely ignored her mental struggle. They only see it in a way k 'acha rishta bar bar nahi milta' and wont miss this chance.
why cant a girl's father take a step first if boy's mom is not coming over, why cant he contact her talk about this serious matter sensibly? why cant they normalise those things which are so normal in our deen? In islam it is not necessary at all that only boy's mom has to come with a rishta.. and when their kids are thinking on extreme like running away which was the first sign to get alert and to take such actions which will calm them down.

My concern with jafa from day one was the same. Same debate happened last week. These dramas portray "marriage as the ultimate solution" the writting is pretty problematic here. Because its evident from the ost they'll be married and she'll fall for numair . Showing how this was a great decision. What is worse is that every character is supporting this and not questioning even zara!

Agree. And idk why so much responsibility and maturity is expected from teenagers?
The writer acted so stupid by making the father tell his daughter to bring Rishta. It's not their job. The boy is also a teenager. From makers point by doing this, they put all blame on children. That parents tried but boy was incapable
Why didn't he call the boy to talk to his mom or go to his house to talk after the balcony incident ? Why didn't elders handle while talking with their children?

This is exactly like "Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri", parents were uncoorperative, they ran away, got married, separated, and all the drama in between but at the end hero's Nana says the same thing. "Bache agar ziddi thee toh mangni krke chod dete, adults ko ziddi banne ki kya zarurat thee?"
Koi yeh advice Andaleeb & Moiz ke parents ko bhi de do, agr Andaleeb ki maasi (Zara's mom) ko pata ho situation ka toh kya pata voh yeh sane advice dede.

The best part about radd is that if this was any other typical drama then female lead would have hidden zain’s return in her life from male lead but he would’ve come to know through someone else and misunderstandings would’ve pile up so much between them and lead to their separation. But here they have shown it so beautifully and salaar also seemed so secure about it. And I also think that zain will play antagonist role now

I actually got a call from Stephen King and he felt strongly about casting Jugnoo from Bayhadh in his new remake of “The Shining” where the safety of each and every gullible and pathetic person who comes into contact with her is highly compromised due to the dark forces that not only lurk within her but very clearly present themselves on the surface. She’d give Jack Nicholson a run for his money. And if Hamza was ever cast in this movie (which I don’t believe Stephen King would ever let happen), he’d very clearly be the first one to die.
This is a huge complement for Saboor Ali even though I can’t stand her character.

Hasan, you are forgetting that the big reveal is on the cards about Salaar's mom and who killed her. Maamu also has to know the truth. So, now it's about Salaar becoming the real owner of the estates and business
Of course, the sisters'tracks need closure, too.
Lastly, may be Zain will marry Salaar's sister as was desired by his mom to respect her last wish

With regard to khali sahab- the persona that he exhibits in public sphere doesn’t really matches with his writings. I have seen his interview long time back in which he had clashed with that lady marvi and even in this recent Taghoot show, he cannot possibly the same person who wrote the dialogues of Gentlemen ( gosh! Both these recent episodes had great dialogues). I remember humarey zamanay mein growing up there was this famous band called Milli Vanilli; their songs were great too; however…. Never mind I don’t want to say it without any evidence but honestly it is mind boggling how can he be the same person.
Jaffa and Radd both are quite interesting dramas👍

I can’t understand why Amna finds Hiba too old to be cast with Sheryaar. Sheryaar has worked with Mahira khan and Ayeza khan as his heroines who are and look much older than Hiba, so why cant he work with Hiba? Why does Amna think Hiba suits with uncles like Faisal Qureshi and likes? Amna never said anything about Yumna cast with her uncle Humayun Saeed , why is she against Hiba? I think Hiba looks perfectly cast with Sheryaar and they look so good together.

How old is Mahira khan ? He was with her in 7 din Mohabbat in. Did Amna review the film? If yes, did she mention that Mahira looked older than Sheryaar? Has she ever age shamed Mahira, then why Hiba. She has some problem with Hiba, i think.

Radd: I feel Zain is going to create issues/misunderstandings between Eman and Salaar. Zain seems to have made money now, so maybe he will create problems for Salaar financially as he feels that Eman left him because of money. Radd might take the track from Dardkan way with Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty. Where the girl’s first loves comes back into her life a few years later and financially ruins her hubs and, to the point they don’t have a place to live, in the hopes that the girl goes back to him. Zain might do the same thing to Eman hoping that if Salaar financially doesn’t have anything to give to Eman, then Eman will leave him and go back to Zain. Zain may team up with Zameen to make this happen as Zameen also wants Salaar out of the picture. Things will probably get bad enough that Mama has to come back and bail Salaar out of financial trouble or something. I don’t think Nouman Ijaz would play a character without substance, so I feel he will return at some point but other than a business/financial issue, I don’t know how else he would come back

Jafaa: I think they should have casted someone else as Numair instead of Usman. Don't know why but his looks/styling is giving uncle vibes, and pairing him with such a young actress like Sehar is just uncomfortable. He doesn't seem like he's a 'hero'. I can't see them having chemistry, even when Andaleeb starts liking him after marriage.

I find it so frustrating week after week they are just dragging it. Numair seems like a sensible guy; he would immediately understand the situation in a snap and reject it from his side, then she can continue with her struggle. Extremely annoying

Jafaa: How hasan took u-turn is funny, Hasan in last video you were agreeing with her father getting her marry him and now when you see their passion you changed your mind like most of the people would do if they know how critical this situation is. My point is why people have to understand it only because these two teenagers are taking dangerous steps? Why not before that? Why not in initial stages. When she said clearly hatefully and anxiously that she doesn't want to get marry to this man, why didn't her parents and audience thought of it before ( that these 2 kids can go this far)

I was reflecting on how superbly she's settled herself in Noor Jehan's shoes after all, maintaining the same poise and charisma. No offence to the other actors, but put an Asma Abbas or a Saba Faisal in the SAME role and it will degrade in quality immediately - will look and sound very run-of-the-mill and unsophisticated even! Saba Hamid, on the other hand, has done a remarkable Job!!!!
