Miss Maria you could use a 1/4 inch little ignition wrench or if can find a small 1/4 ratcheting wrench they fit those little bits. I've used that method many times. Thank you for the very informative video. Your an amazing woman I love your videos!!!!!

Thanks for this video! I'm going to install the grips ony my Cheiftain soon, and this video helped out alot. I found this on the instructions, may be helpful for future installs. Air might enter the hydraulic fluid if upside down? "Do not allow hand brake master cylinder to be turned upside down once removed. Bleeding the brakes will be required if master cylinder is turned upside down."

I did not remove the fairing. I used a micro bit ratchet to remove the switch. T20 is the size of the star bit you need to remove the 2 screws. So remove the left rubber cubby hole and need some good light to see screws. You will have to do it by feel. If you need to see what you are doing, I recommend removing the fairing. I have removed the fairing before installing a new light and it is not difficult, I was just trying to shave off some time hooking up the grips. I stripped out screw on plastic throttle box. Hand tighten screw and go maybe an 1/8 th of a turn more. I was doing a 1/4 turn and probably did more and stripped the plastic threads. Wish they made helicoils for these threads to fix this problem. Threaded tape makes it so the screw does not back out, but the screw just spins and doesn't tighten.

I stripped the plastic thread too! I’m buying the replacement part coz water is definitely going to get in if not properly tightened.

The installation instructions for the left one also mentions a new socket head screw that was supposed to be in the kit. My kit has no such socket head screw and I don't see where it would have gone in anyway. Did you have a new one on the left? Doesn't look like it.

20 or 25 I think, I have to look at the video lol!

Maria, you do not mention the size. I have seen two other comments that are conflicting. I have a 25 , not a 20.

If the ride command allows you to turn it on and off plus adjust it do you really need to install the manual switch?

She has many pinched wires in the handle bar controls. Reinstalled break control bar Mount backwards. If something doesn’t line up, then something must not be right. Don’t just put the screws in and tighten. You’ll pinch or break things. Also the wire for the throttle grip looks to be pinched and sticking out. I would be very surprised if the throttle will rotate. I would not recommend following her video. I doubt she’s reading the directions fully.
