You really motivated me to watch an American Football match live in a stadium!
Maybe I'll see you in Marburg one day. Its 'only' like 3 hours from here so why not!
Maybe I'll be watching your match with my exchange student who's coming over to Germany in summer.
Thank you for sharing your life and your story with us!
Keep up the great fight, respect from Sudbury Ont, Canada.
Hey man, I've just found out I live like 100m away from your old home in Frankfurt at the National Library! Still on the lookout for your cactus on the window sill even though it's February right now. Keep it going!
Hi. Great Video. I am a Kiel Baltic Hurricanes Fan myself but i really enjoy your videos. Will you do a little GFL Preview before the season? Would be intresting from a player POV

You are awsome and I love watching your videos. A true fact is that I am actually a German exchange student and that i started playing American football her in the US and I fell in love with it. I did not know that there is American football I'm my country. Thank you for that. Viel Glueck fuer dich. (Mein handy ist umgestellt auf Englisch)
I like you very much and i hope i can come to a football game in Germany I´m from north Germany. Hopefully see you soon my friend :D
I watched your Video in which you explained why you couldn't play football anymore and I'm honestly in shock... I had to watch again what you have said because I couldn't believe it. It isn't fair at all... I don't understand this rule, but okay...Otherwise we couldn't watch your videos, right? Glad to see you happily play football again in Germany! Keep on making these amazing videos!
hey falls du das lesen kannst,
du bist einer meiner lieblings CZcamsr ❤🔥
Enjoyed this video Silas,,,and its a shame that your third season in Germany playing America Football,,,the problem is it's the wrong team....but I do understanding the reason you chose MM....sometimes its the position you have and the team has that makes you chose this or that team...I know more or less the reason and I understand your position:) Anyway thanks for showing alittle of Waco again ...enjoy seeing my birth place once awhile in your videos...all the best....
So I'm German and I'm gonna be watching my first football game on sunday. It's Lippstadt Eagles against Iserlohn Titans. I live about 1.5 km away from the "stadium" (it isn't really big). Said place once belonged to one of my town's soccer clubs (yes a German town with 70,000 inhabitants has maybe 10 soccer clubs and it's normal), to be precise the best club in town (a classmate plays in one of their teams), and because they are big now they needed a bigger stadium which they built about 100-200m away from where I live. I can always hear whether there is a match going on based on if I hear fans or not. So the local football team (Lippstadt Eagles, they were founded in 2016) got the old place and adapted it for football and this is going to be their first game in the new place. I've heard they're good, they were last season's winners and are in 3rd place right now. In the big soccer leagues, I rarely see a team going up a league and being good after that. I saw a leaflet advertising the game today at school and just thought why not. I'm definately hyped for the game and I'll try understanding how football works.
Hey , i had saw your German / Deutsch Video and i was so happy to see someone who speak German ! I'm from Germany xD . I'm 13 years old and my english isn't good . I hope you understand me :D
Here is a sentences :
Rabbits have long ears .
Hasen haben lange Ohren .
You can try it , have fun and a nice Day ! Bye
Germany wants you back
I am from Germany and I am 12 years old I've been playing baseball since I was 5 . The German baseball community is not that known. It is always been my dream to live in America so I'm a little bit jealous of your life and the life of other American people and I always think about what Americans think about Germany so it is so cool that you make those videos and even tell us Germans if you like our country and such. Keep up your good work and good luck with Catlin😀😀☺️
Jonas Greune Wow, ich wünschte mein Englisch wäre mit 12 schon so gut gewesen, Respekt!
SamGamgee8012 danke😁🤣
Nun ja, das ist nicht so schwer wenn man A. Talentiert ist, oder B nur ein wenig lernt in der Schule.
Wo spielst du Baseball?:)
Dude I played FCS in the early 2000s signed up for Europlayers.com for over a decade I traveled to 5 continents played and coached for several teams best move in my LIFE. Most Fun I had playing football ever. Thanks Europlayers
Any chance of you getting into the XFL ? Or are you better off playing in Germany ? Wish you the best of everything, your story is one of tenacity and determination!
Will you come back to Frankfurt or to another city in Germany? Love your videos ☺️
Keep living your dream.(Sorry for the english)
Cooles video mach weiter so gibt ein like 😁
Nice 👌🏾
Is there a reason why you couldn’t play NAIA just wondering? Loving how you pursue your dreams inspiring!
Go, Silas, go! :)
thanks for another great video. since you spend 1/2 of your year in Germany and 1/2 in the states will you keep your apartment in Waco? Will the wife find a job in Germany? Has she started studying German yet?
Hey Silas, I’ve been watching all of your blogs now for 3 years and you always mention that you graduated from Baylor. But what did you major in?
Silas is pulling a LeBron!!!😂😂 He left the Mercenaries and now is going back!!!😂😂✊️🙌
But hopefully the Football is going to be bigger and bigger year by year here in germany, that the games are coming on tv etc so it can be a professional sport in europe/germany in the future like icehockey and basketball :)
I have a guten Tag thank u
Dude if your back in germany, and maybe are able to get to stuttgart for shopping or somn like that, thene i wanna finaly meet you so baaad
What do you think about the Cologne Crocodiles? i dont know if you know them but they are really good
Hei Silas, as i knew , moritz has signed by the Bengals for this season in NFL ?! (sorry for my English writing, i do it not often ...) Grüße aus Schwäbisch Hall :-)
what’s your favorite german soccer team and your favorite team in general
I hope American Football catches on in the EU more. its a pity that talanted and nice ppl.(like you) are getting sacked for dumb reasons. I understand that it is hard to get in the NFL, because only a few countrys play it as a main sport. Because of that they need to look into the college players. I feel the need for US scouts to look in other countrys and not only college. And I think they need to rethink the strategy of how to recruit players. But it is the US = never change a running system.
One day I am in the US and watching a Super Bowl game with Silas in it!
You have so much passion for the sport, you deserve it. Hope i see you one day in (north-west) germany soon. Greetings to you and your wife
What I don't get is the thing why you don't get the release (i read in the internet that it's called 'waiver') from Baylor to play for the team from Waxahachie? Why didn't Bayler let you go? Why didn't the NCAA let you go to the NAIA?
When will you get back to Germany this year?
I went from scholarships to homeless, to moving back home and having some really bad depression when I broke down. I'm happy you grew from your crucible. To see I wasn't the only one to make it out alive. I work 2 jobs, one being my own company. Going to build homes for the homeless and make it not only good for the people, but profitable. Capitalism is a tool in which we wield. Might as well do some good shit with it.
Perspective wise, at least you don't have to worry about people being around you for money and fame so much. I feel like that type of fame is very isolating outside of your very tight bubble. To see everyone walking around and not being able to say anything... fucking crippling. Especially for a young man trying to find his place in the world. Takes a lot, but I think you will be just fine. Just don't forget where you come from. I made mud pies.... XD
Do you think it is possible to Play Soccer as a German in America? Would be interested if the Story could go the other way around ;)
I plan on moving to Germany or netherlands to play football, I've been told that they don't import players to Germany unless they have NCAA stats, especially D1 or D2. I am beyond the age that any college will take me for their football program so I am thinking just go over there and prove myself to the GFL. I don't know the level of competition over there, I see their games on livestream and I know they want D1 and D2 import players, but that doesn't tell me what level they play at. I have so many friends on facebook that play over there that were official import players or are native germans. Watching you, and NALF, and occasionally Connor (little intense for me) has kept my resolve going that Germany as a country is a better fit for me. American still has problems many places with LGBT in american football, and from what i have seen its a non issue in Germany and many european countries.
Dashric you can also play in the GFL ll, it is also a good league and you have the opportunity to play in the GFL the following year.
I was using GFL as a whole not just the top league. Any team in germany would be amazing for me, even I could only get to a Regionaliga team like Landsberg Xpress or Langenfeld Longhorns. Football is football I play semi pro over here in Portland Oregon. Obviously the higher the better, but i've seen more Football heart even in regionaliga than I have in half the guys in my league over here.
Hey dashric! There have been some games between us college teams and European teams. Last year the swarco raiders played a NAIA college and I remember it was pretty even. So I would say that the top teams in Europe play at a high NAIA or maybe even low Div. II level.
Dashric if you want you can join my team the Aschaffenburg Stallions 👍🏼
wutzgee 123 you have to remember swarco is one of the top team in whole europe..
How much experience is required for you to be able to play ?
Also which city do you prefer? Marburg or Frankfurt? 😁 just the city Not the team
So you come back every 6 months in Germany, and while you stay in Texas; also play or just visit family ?
What would be your favourite team to play for in the NFL?
What was the food like Silas
Wait about 10 years and go to ESPN and do a 30 for 30 with your story
Only 2 Americans on the Field? Wow...I get the idea, we have a same rule in soccer like not more than 5 foreigners on the field...i think it could be more in football league, like 3 or 4 Americans.
One thing i didn‘t understand: Why don‘t you go back to Frankfurt instead of going to Malburg?
(I‘m not very much into American Football)
burr trap daddy Because bis wife comes with him and Frankfurt cant offer her a job and stuff
Klaus Maussen And Marburg can?
I think so. I made a video a while back in which he reveals where he'll play next season. He explains it there.
Klaus Maussen Was für ein Video?
Der Videotitel war: FROM COLLEGE FOOTBALL to PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL in GERMANY
Why is there a random door in the background?
Circuit breaker box
changing name enabled again? :D
Have you considered xfl or the new aafl
The "A" on your helmet or uniform does not stand for "American" but for "Ausländer" (Foreigner). Players from other countries of the European Union and from some countries with a less developed football program do not need to wear the "A" though. (BSO §86)
did u ever watched "Concussion" by will smith
Hello im german and now you must look what it means in german:
Hallo mein name ist Emily und ich würde mich sehr freuen wenn du mich grüßen würdest.Ich mag euern kanal und ich finde die versuche lustig wo ihr versucht deutsch zu reden😂
Why you won't play for the Frankfurt Universe again?
I love you
What if you get an European citizenship like Nalf did, do you still have to wear an A on your head?
Dritte😂❤❤
Silas: before you leave Texas, you ought to head down to Austin and interview Hans Boas at the University of Texas. Dr. Boas, a linguistic and German professor, has made it his mission to record as many speakers of German in the Lone Star State as he can before the last generation of Texas Germans passes away.
Up until World War I, German was the main language used in schools, churches and businesses around the hill country between Austin and San Antonio. Dr. Boas has recorded 800 hours of interviews with over 400 German descendants in Texas and archived them at the Texas German Dialect Project. He says the dialect, created from various regional German origins and a mix of English, is one of a kind.

❤❤2.😂😂
7:27 what was that lol
Maaaaaan
Hi can you repeat what NALF did and acquire a citizenship of a europeam country?
ukotata I saw videos on his chanel where he said, that his italian grand- or grandgrandfather (I'm not sure) didn't quit his origin citizenship after coming to the US. Due to this, all of his descandants could get an italian passport - and holding the US-citizenship.
Are we allowed to visit your house too ?
Komm zurück nach Deutschland. 😊😊😊
It's cute that you think we have professional football in Germany.
you’re a fucking goat
Germany wants you back!
Why do you still represent Baylor after what they did to you
See you soon apartment stealer ;)

METTBRÖTCHEN!!!!!!!!!!
Not everybody in Germany likes or plays 'soccer'. For example i don't :-). American Football is way more interesting.
