We went back to the apartment complex with the overflowing dumpsters and ohh man there was even MORE! We found cash, clothing, holiday decor, electronics, toiletries, and so much more.

Metal bed frames usually sell at a yard sale or add them to your SCRAP pile. That dryer was scrap money! From the first trip you should have got the pink metal bed frame. People paint those or put them out in their "flower beds". I can't believe how much people are throwing out that is good stuff. Y'all be sure to drink enough water or electrolytes out in that heat. 😊❤️🙏✝️

I agree looks more like an eviction..finding money and new items. Maybe someone went to jail rent was due and no one to pay rent working..Out they go.. didnt see much for kids so single adult or a couple.

Glad you grabbed the cast iron. I had a huge collection of it that a friend has now, only three pieces with me one Griswald and two Wagner...The first fishing thing is a fish finder.

You sure can tell "it's a throw away society" when you see so much waste. Thank you Kelly and Alex for all you do to save things from the land fill. It also gives people a chance to buy things at a reduced price. The dumpster divers are saving so much and donating many of the items they save.

It's happening all over the world that folks throw away stuff that others can use on a daily basis. Me and my daughter dumpster dive some times, but, my daughter have me beat when it comes down to dumpster diving.

ok you guys. you didn't look inside the dumpsters at the apartments, and I will never sleep again. imagining what was in there, bags of clothes, bags of money, game stations. riches beyond belief.
There was a box of purses. Even if you don't want them, you should dump everything out into a box to make it easier to look. Money, makeup, and money.(yes I know I said money twice). If you find change, you could put it aside in a jar and see how the trash pays you to look through it! You both are like machines, leaving no stone unturned! Awesome haul, guys. It will be hard to beat this score for sure!

The cord for the video camera was right beside it. If you have the cord to test it for use it actually sells really well.
The humming birth is a fish finder. If it works that is good money too.
Always get the cords. Getting one piece and not the other is really a hard sell.

Hey you guys!! The thing you found is a fish finder. You hook it up to your boat and you can see the fish below your boat on the screen. My husband has one. They work really good. Have fun and keep up the great videos.

Oh I have to admit, I'm now addicted. I have no idea why but its like treasure hunting with you! I get so excited for you guys when you find something you like either for yourself or to give away to others. You seem equally pleased and that warms my heart. You are a two person saving the world one trash pick at a time hero team! You go. When I see you have a new vid up I can't wait to watch LOL. I saw your battery haul and you got a lot...In case you didn't know, avoid storing household batteries with other metal objects, like desk staples or loose change. Contact with any metal can cause the battery to short-circuit, which could then cause the battery to leak. Keep batteries of the same type and age stored together and in their original pkg if possible. Avoid mixing different types of batteries with varying levels of power. Most unused alkaline batteries have a shelf life of five to ten years, whereas Ni-MH batteries have a three to five year shelf life when not in use. Lithium-ion batteries, which power gadgets such as mobile phones, have a low self-discharge rate and may hold a partial charge for up to four years before they need to be recharged. I heard you should keep in fridge but later I heard just a cool dry place is ok, don't need to be refridgerated. Batteries should NOT ever go into landfill however its very hard to find anywhere that will recycle them - unless they are rechargable. I use rechargeable batteries and love love love them. It has saved me so much money. Been using them now for 6 years and still working great. I just have to recharge them periodically even when not using them. Great haul guys.

I used to dumpster drive but they got so crazy about people going through stuff( saying if you get cut or hurt thy not liable) they made us quit but loved the items we'd find someone can always use items

We live in such a throwaway society, and I keep thinking about the less fortunate people and countries that could use so much of these items. You are doing your part and that is great.

Those microfiber towels are great! You just can’t use any fabric softener or dryer sheets on them or they’re ruined! All you need to clean with them is water, especially on glass and mirrors. They replace paper towels!
Kelly those letters in a bag u fou d u thought were for a mail box is actually for the light up message board u already put in the top draw of the storage box when the clock wouldn't fit.... U spell out ur message by sliding the letters in and it lights up xx
alex,to restore cast iron: use steel wool to get off surface rust. then oil pain all over, put on cookie sheet. set in a hot oven. 375 degrees for about a hr. take out let cool and wipe off the oil. this needs to be done about once a year to keep them conditioned. do not put cast iron in the dishwasher. wash with soap and hot water if necessary. dry with paper towel and set on stove burner until very dry. . i have cast iron that is decades old and as good as new.

The Humminbird is a soar for finding fish, and things under the water. They are worth quite a bit. We use Humminbird to find cars underwater. Have a great day my friends ❤️🙂⚘️.
You have come upon a couple of evictions in your last couple of videos. People come home to find their stuff has been moved out to the curb or to the dumpster by management. Sad, in those cases. Some may be behind on their rent because of getting arrested or just being out of work or for whatever other reason.

in case you don't know there is a hack for swifter bottles You put the tops of them turn them upside down and put them in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes and then you can unscrew that white top and you can fill it with whatever you want and you don't have to keep buying those bottles if you look it up on CZcams it'll tell you how to do it I learned a couple years ago and save me a lot of money you just boil the lid a little bit in hot water till it comes loose and then put your own cleaners in it and then reattach it and then you're good to go
Great hack! You can also refill those air freshener bottles with the wick by gently pulling them out slowly with small needle nose pliers.
Make sure you grab the plastic cap and use any essential oil scent.
I have used candle scents too, like wild cherry.
Only the bottle you insert in the bottom, and upright.
WARNING....Don't use the ones that hang upside down though.
You can start a fire!
Smaller suitcases or things like that would be wonderful for kids in foster care who usually carry the stuff around and black garbage bags. I’ve been trying to collect them myself for that purpose

Cast iron scrub with salt paste and hot water and then put a coating of vegetable oil on them. Every time u use them then wash dry and oil them.

If you don't have a car then you have no option to dump stuff. I see a lot of dumping and people putting old furniture on free ads hoping people with cars will take it. Housing association organisations are now charging to get stuff taken away, it used to be free. Charities are overwhelmed with people donating stuff and only collect the best stuff, they also ask for a photograph first as well UK based

My sister in law used to restore cast iron all the time. She put it in a self cleaning oven and let it go through the clean cycle and left it in the oven until completely cold. Then re-season the skillet by covering it in solid shortening. Put it into a cold oven. Turn heat onto five hundred for thirty minutes. Shut the oven off and let it completely cool. Restored, seasoned skillet 👍🏼 Great find Alex!

Hey guys those two dollar bills are not novel items, they are real and you can spend them. I actually get them at the bank for my son he collects them. Definitely spendable! Great job guys!!
At colleges and universities I feel a lot of good stuff comes from students that are here from abroad and go home for the summer and can't take stuff with them. Often times they recieve stipend money and just buy new if they return. This apartment...maybe it's eviction stuff...so glad you are picking & donating!!

Alex, if you have a scrub daddy it will be pretty easy to clean up your cast iron skillet, if you don’t have one, get one. They’re fabulous.
