Well my gosh that was insane! The Texas heat has been baddd but we went out dumpster diving at apartments and can't believe all the awesome stuff we found! It was a great dive, including the fact that our final dumpster of the day was overflowing with everything from electronics and camera equipment to ceramic planters and a gorgeous nativity snow globe. It just kept coming!
I'm also excited about the Sega compact disc console we found - it sells for parts on eBay for over $100!! I'm so glad we didn't leave it behind. As always, thank you so much for watching and I hope you have a wonderful day! Happy diving xoxo

This makes me so sad. When there is so much furniture at an apartment dumpster, either a tenant was set out due to eviction or the tenant died.

I think she has always acted confident.
She has been kickboxing. It has more than likely helped her energy level, and she has lost weight (not that she wasn't fine anyway). I have always thought she was confident. I think you are seeing an energy level increase.

What an awesome haul at the end! For those who feel bad it may be the result of an eviction, I can tell you I lost my home and everything I owned was thrown away. It’s sad, but if I knew someone could’ve used what I had, I would’ve been happy they went to a new home over a landfill. Also, I love the color of your hair, Kelly! Looks like it has a hint of red in it. With the weight loss: you look amazing! You two did a great job this week!

As I watch you go through these discarded items it breaks my heart to think about what happened to the owners of these items. Obviously the owners were evicted. My greatest concern is what happened to them. I hope they are safe.

At the first dumpster with the bedding, comforter, and pillows that you got, you left the bedskirt that went with it. It was the white with the blue skirt. They were awesome finds. Have a great day my friends ❤️🙂⚘️.

We had a neighbor 3 doors down move out this week end and scored a lot of cast off items, including un-opened foodstuffs (still refrigerator cold).
We have two dogs so they get any warm meats and/or cheese items. All seafood gets cooked and chopped up for the dogs.
We eat the frozen Omaha steaks LOL. Lotta canned/dry goods, spices, cold beers, liquors, soaps and cleaning supplies, and $2 in quarters!
Items we already have or can't use go to Goodwill, eg microwaves, vacuums, lamps, camp chairs, towels, toasters, toaster ovens, air fryers, crock pots, fans, etc. Moveouts or landlord putouts are best! Anything that resells for $50 or more we list on CL or marketplace.
I must say always enjoy your channel, having lived in NY I found the best stuff on the street. When my antique dollhouse was destroyed in a move I Christmas wished for another to take its place, I found a French chateau on the sidewalk, ❤ When you said you were wanting brushes to paint with ie Bob Ross I found a Bob Ross painting at a yard sale. Sometimes we manifest what we want and need. Happy hunting and good luck out there. Barbie

My husband is the maintenance supervisor of an apartment complex (he's actually worked at many) and this might ease everyone's minds... if a person is evicted from their apartment, they are usually given time to move their stuff out. What we're probably seeing in this video, and my husband has had to deal with many times, is someone skipping off in the middle of the night. A tenant does this when they owe several months of rent. The property manager will usually attempt to find and contact the person so they can come get their belongings but most of the time, they're just gone. Only then are the maintenance people allowed to go in and clear the apartment out. Besides every day items like Alex and Kelly find, often times there is a lot of drug and sex paraphernalia left behind and a hazmat unit has to come in. The stories my husband has told me are both sad and disturbing.
I also thought about someone passing with no family! 🫤

right off the bat you found great things that can be re-used one way or another. And this past wkend and upcoming wkend are of course when people will be moving in and out. I dived at our apt dumpster and had no where near the luck you did, got some macaroni in plastic bag and some lima bean seeds to plant next spring but hey, I'll take it.
That was a cute little bag with that chalk in it, I would have thrown the chalk out and keep the bag.
Kelly you always look so cute, I noticed you look thinner in these past few videos. If this is on purpose, more power to you! Your smile and attitude will never change and is a refreshing experience as a viewer of this awesome channel.
I like watching you guys dumpster diving. You salvage so much good stuff and keep it from going to the landfill but also help so many people with what you get . Thank you so much for doing what you do. Wish I could do that but not available in my area. You also repurpose so much.

Just a tip, you can use blankets and comforters to make winter dog coat and animal coats and blankets to sell. Those dust ruffles for the beds, I make curtain valances with them and shower/tub curtains.

That dumpster with all of those items out in the open is not a dumpster; it's a flea market! When my complex has a community sale; I always find great finds at the dumpster!

Great haul of goodies at this dumpster. Can't wait to see Part 2 to see what else you come across. I live in Boston Georgia, the Law does not permit you to dumpster dive, they fine people and make them throw the stuff back in the dumpster. It is such a shame because they throw furniture away and some people need furniture. I guess you can always sneak if your lucky to not get caught!!! LOL

I haven't watched for quite a while & missed you guys. Great dumpster dive & I see your viewers have really increased. I have to catch up on your videos & its a lot. You both look like you are still having fun together & looking healthy. 2023 was an interesting year. I am 71 & needed to make some money do to the inflation & on a fixed income. lol Made some good money helping a couple with yard work & cleaning out a house. First I broke my wrist on both sides ( first broken bone ) and boy when you are 71 healing is still in progress since Fathers Day. Got poison oak so couldn't complete my physical therapy the therapist could not touch my arm or wrist LOL. Then got a bad cold. LOL On and on. But God Bless you both and keep having fun finding the good stuff and helping the environment from the goofing people throwing away some good items.

oh that's cool. I didn't know the animal shelters would take blankets that big or pillows...
hubby and I dive. if we get a lot of pet items from pet stores, we clean them, pack them up and send them on over to pet shelters. its so fun to donate what we find to the less fortunate.
yes I've only done pets so far because that's all we've found a lot of ..
I got a small pick of facial cleaning products.. and another small pick of food.
anything we wouldnt use or consume, (I clean and check everything, recall checks as well) I pack it up and save it for a large haul to a shelter of some sorts. so we dont have much right now.
elder shelters, womens shelters, mens shelters, kids, pets, homeless, V ERY low income housing.. churches.. but I like to make sure its hand in hand give to make sure they are actually getting it.

A little turpentine or paint thinner will take the dried on oil paint off the artist brushes. May have to soak for a while.

Last Sunday I found a large, rattan wall rack with five rattan hooks in the store dumpster. It was broke in one small section. I am going to wait and see if I come across parts. At the time I wished I had your rake tool because in the far back of the dumpster were two vases. They were more than likely broken, but I wanted to see. My green grabber (like yours) could touch one, by not grip it. If you remember, I am almost 69, so I don't climb in the dumpsters. LOL! I just might have to buy that rake!!!!

Love your work. The thing is, I've been dumpster dive in since at least in my 20s where I live. I live in the big community, and a lot of people tend to dump or throw out their furniture pieces. But I don't go into the dumpster. No, I go outside the dumpster instead, and I would find most of my things there. I found my computer table. I found my little mini library on wheels. I can't even find a beautiful vodka of fake flowers and glass. But my favorite item was a two wonderful straw tape chairs. And of course, a beautiful chair. And I was able to re fix everything in stitch. So honestly, keep doing what you love, and I keep doing what I love. But I never take fabric out of their up. No, if it's in the dumpster. Ah, no. But if it's outside a dumpster, it's free game. Am I right?
It’s cool you can do that. So many areas forbid dumpster diving, which can be understandable if people aren’t careful, but we all should reuse a bit more!
