Show this technique to us on the water. Helpful when you're out there. Thx
Might dust mine off tomorrow. A 10" worm on a C rig is the only thing we've had success on recently.
Anybody remember The Flying Lure? That fell backwards too
If you like the clear water of onieda lake you should travel another hour and a half north to cranberry, star, or lake bonaparte. I was slamming smallies on lake Bonaparte over the july 4th weekend.
Like the cover scat but the yamatanuki rules , I've caught over a 100 so far this year, this bait is the ultimate skipping bait too, just make sure you buy the big bottle of "Mend It", last about one maybe two fish, have a huge pile of used baits waiting for repair lol
Use the 4/0 Owner Twistlock Hook and get six Bass per bait.
@@ZZ430T56 I've tried ewg hooks with the cps springs and didn't have the same results, for me the baits would just get flung off just as easily as other hooks, the cps springs core the tip of the bait out. I much rather use a regular 4/0 or 5/0 ewg and put a wacky ring around the tip of the bait, this was the only way I could keep the plastics from getting flung off
@@SimonC82686 Another screw lock option is to buy the large size CPS screw locks, much better grip than than the standard on the Owner.
@@Michdave700 I used both the medium and large size cps
I mean I feel like I gotta draw the line at a certain point ….. an usin a dille for bait is it
Deps also has a smaller Cover Scat, and OSP also has their own version called the Spinnuts. Truly the next best thing in weedless baits.
My buddies and I call this technique "backsliding". A great bait around docks because of the action. Great video!
Goes to show...bass are the ultimate predator..they'll eat anything...a blob of plastic that looks like absolutely nothing...BUT, i have caught fish on them...key phrase...it's different & it's moving around in the water...Bass see that as a meal...i do like a green pumpkin & dye the end chartreuse...i tend to work it faster around shallow cover...looks a LITTLE like a bluegill
I've heard it called 'HD Draggin' ...High density (SofttPlastic) dragging
I have been using them in deep brush piles. I use my FFS to locate a stump or brush pile and drop the scat bait into it. Just slowly move it around. Some of the scats have different sink rates. Tactical bassin had a video comparing the different fall rates. If your fishing deep, you want the fast sink models. 4-5 minutes a cast is very doable. Just slowly moving the bait amongst the limbs.
That looks obscene. Hide em from your wife and check your tackle warehouse account for orders of the 8” version.
Nailed it lmao.
Haha that’s phenomenal 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Explains why all the black with blue glitter ones are all sold out…
I haven't thrown a Senko in 4yrs. I fish the Cover Scat and Yamatanuki where I used to fish a Senko and a lot of places I couldn't effectively fish the Senko.
I've heard these general type of baits called gravity baits. I actually was looking at the Yamamoto version the other day In the store and put them back. I just might have to give in and try them
The yamatanuki cast far and works great the only con of this bait is the tail section . Bluegills pluck the tails off
The ned rig has entered the chat
If I found that in my yard I would be mad at my dog!!😅
my buddy fishes the back of my boat and cleans up fish i dont get to bite on a senko/wacky with a yamatuniki
I would love to see a VS video on this bait vs the tube bait…
I never tried that brand but have had a lot of success with the Yamamoto Yamatanuki. I’m going to try those Cover Scats as well though.
Looking like you set it up weedless, can you show it closer by chance? Thanks again for all your videos. Very informative.
...and I love HD dragging...won me a tournament this year
Don't talk about it shhhhh!
What colors and size are best?
Maybe mimics a clawless crawfish?
molting craw apparently
Made in usa shirt!
Thank you sound like I need to check out
We call them GRub Stubs... cute lil rig catches em all in HArtville, OHio
What happened to the podcast? Those were awesome
Dude, you’re a little behind the times. In Japan they’ve already moved beyond the regular dookie baits. The hot bait now is the dookie with corn.
That’s basically pumpkin/flake
If this technique isn’t called dropshitting then what are we even doing
I've been fishing the Yamamoto Fat IKA for 25 years ...most versatile soft bait even made.
It’s smallmouth candy for sure.
I'll stick with topwater and drop shots with live baits.
This should get the ladies alot of Fish maybe not quantity fish but all the fish you can handle
This is sad to say but wish you sold 4x sizes
So fish love turds too, huh? Well, a Ned rig is a little turd with a weighted head and we all know that works great. It's all about the fall. It might also be great on a hover rig.
I had an 80-year-old fisherman tell me about a big fly he makes to resemble a red/purple mulberry fruit. You never know what fish eat or what they think the baits resemble. They are curious critters and sometimes that's all it takes.
Nope
That thing is dumb!! Every time some new crap comes out you guys hop on the band wagon and say it catches a lot of fish. You don't have to use every new thing that appears, you're not going to tell me that blob of plastic is better than something that's moving in the water. That's the equivalent of throwing a rock in the water which tells me how dumb it is and how gullible people are.
😂😂😂 obviously you have no clue what you are talking about. I’m gonna give you some advice and that Is to keep your mouth shut. Your comment shows how ignorant you sound when it comes to this technique.
😂😂😂 kids these days
You obviously have never fished scat baits, it’s clearly evident by your ignorant comment. Before you flap your gums you should at least have facts to back up your silly claims.
It’s about what the fish want in the situation. There’s a reason, for example, why a fish might want a senko over a fluke or paddle tail. Now picture a hard stick bait and how that affects the action in the water compared to soft baits. The more articulated bodies have a different action to a solid stick bait. Sometimes you want that articulation but other times it actually takes away from the specific type of action you need in a given situation to get bit. If you can wrap your head around the difference between articulated action vs overall action and how they are intertwined, this bait will make a lot more sense to you, as well as many other baits.
